I just stopped by to say that I've always thought completly stupid and imature the comparison between nsync and the BSB... there's no possible comparison, coz they have nothing in common, except perhaps the fact that they were both "born" in Orlando... but apart from that, they're totally different: the voices, the styles of music, everything. Even the way they face the reality... The new album Black & Blue is awesome... even if it didn't break the record in the US, it doesn't mean it's not worth the money you pay... I'm telling you, and all of you who have listened to the album know it's true, the album is absolutely AWESOME! their voices are really, once again, amazing, there are just no words to describe it... Someone said, I don't know exactly who, about the BSB not breaking the record in the US, that the US isn't the world, and while ppl are thinking bout the fact that they didn't break the record in the US, the States are not the world, and ppl must pay attention to the fact that they broke the record in FIVE CONTINENTS... WTF is your problem? I bet it is important that the Backstreet Boys break some record. Yeah right. That means nothing. Do you know how many people in the music business have broken records and they are no where today. And then there are some who are places. But then you look at Metallica, U2, Mariah, Elton, Whitney...they didn't break any first week records. And they are FAR and ABOVE Nsync. Please, when NSYNC is singing about saying Bye Bye Bye to a random one night stand, groups like u2 are singing about IMPORTANT issues. The Beatles changed music forever, and they don't hold some lame record for how gullible a group's fans are to go out and buy more than 5 copies necessary just to make them appear great. NSYNC will never be the Beatles, so I would appreciate all the NSYNC fans to back away from this board until they have something logical to say. Your groups isn't the best because they sell a few million copies in one week to a bunch of 15-year old hormonal girls. I really haven't got too much respect for pop music of today, as you can tell. I think most of it is phony, bubblegum CRAP! But! The Backstreet Boys are absolutely, by far, the best in this lineup, and I feel by the way they are going-musically and personal-they are going to be OUT of this lineup in a very short time. Their new album is a far cry better than any of the other pop trash that has come out this year because, hello, the Backstreet Boys can sing. And they do it well. It may be their one true talent, though I doubt that. I also give them props for writing songs with some depth in them. Yeah, I know, we all haven't got the brightness to write songs about having sex on the internet, but give the Boys a cheer for writing songs about what we can do to help the world we live in, and about their growths and changes since the beginning of their career together. I think, also, the songs are probably the best ones on their cd. Actually, all the songs the Boys wrote on this cd are amazing. The CD is incredible, and I find it funny that the only point NSYNC fan have to come here is jaunt on and on about some silly record, which is the only thing their group really has to jaunt on and on about. Let me also inform that I was never a pop hater. I loved NSYNC, Britney, all these people for awhile. I just got tired of them. I think they merchandize themselves like New Kids On The Block, and their music is familiar. I also realized they really haven't got too much strength in the vocal department, although the dancing is great. But when I want to groove to music, its not always going to be fast music, and I can't take the slow songs from these guys. You might as well have me sing it myself after inhaling a pint of helium. The Backstreet Boys, however, have soothing, beautiful voices. They blend together. These guys are also down to earth, and not all over the tv (or lipgloss, teddybear, puppets, barbie dolls), as some people. They seem normal, and they seem to be in it for the two things that really matter:the music and their fans. Who gives a flying F*** if they didn't break N Sync's record? No biggie... they have nothing to prove to anyone.. I feel that they already have. Crazy, girl, it's awright! They mat not have beat N Sync, but they beat the WORLD RECORD and THAT is even BETTER! It shows that BSB has such a large and poweful(GLOBAL!) fan base that they can acheive that record! While N Sync pretty much only has the US, if you think about it, and maybe some areas(very few) in other countries. Ya think, though, that they STARTED overseas, so it's only natural that they would achieve such a goal. This is their 5, yes, 5 album!(Backstreet Boys in '96, Backstreet's Back '97, Backstreet Boys US debut, Millennium, and now Black and Blue!) I am very proud of them... they are a vocal group with a lot of talent. As long as they make good quality music for us and themselves, then I will be happy with it. I don't care about records.. that's a bonus. They mean more to me than just saying 'Oh, they didn't make/break a rocord, I don't think I like them anymore.' Ya know? 'N Sync still continues to hold the record of the most sales in a week. Yes, I was dissapointed, but I realized later that there really is no need to be. So what if my boys did not break the record? So what if they went around the world to see every fan they could just to promote their album, ad they still did not set the record? It truly does not matter. I am not upset that they did not broke the record, but afraid that I might have broken their hearts. That we might have broken their hearts. They deserved it. But, no matter what, they have broken every record there is in my heart, and they will always forever remain on top there.
