Into The Milennium Take Two: Albany, New York Valentines Day
The first time I went to the December 1 concert in Ft lauderdale, and the
whole experience was so surreal. I was so completely detached that even
immediately after the concert I couldn't remember anything that had happened.
I didn't have pictures either, because my camera broke, and so I didn't have
many memories. I didn't remember some of the costumes, I had been so busy
staring at Kevin, that I didn't even catch any Brian or AJ antics. I didn't
even remember seeing brian or Nick sing anything! All I knew was that it was
amazing. And loud.
But this time around I was determined to maximize the experience. I bought
multiple rolls of film, ridiculous quantities of batteries, and checked my
camera at least ten times. All that preparing didn't come in handy when I
exposed my entire first roll of film (which got the amazing entrance,
including Nick getting stuck and ptouting mid air on his hoverboard, and
Kevin's flying above me), and messed up the second
roll before I even took pictures...
BUT I'm not bitter(can you hear the edge in my voice? :-) )
I managed to get three other rolls of pics (although only 8 out of 24 came out
on each), but I definitely have plenty of memories. And the pictures I got
will certainly spark those memories for years to come.
So without further ado, lets get to the good stuff...
MY SEATS
I bought tickets of off the tickets.com auction: section 104 row B. Which is
basically second row(with a few fake rows, and a bit of floor in front) a
little off of the center. But before I got those I had asked my aunt, who has
connections to get me tickets. She couldn't cancel the order and I ended up
with two sets of tickets. I didn't know exactly where they were because they
were will call but I knew they'd be good. I was told they would be press seats
but didn't think about it any more. When I got to the arena, I was in
shock, because HER SEATS WERE better then mine!!!! So me and my college buds
who had driven to Albany from Boston, ended up in section 105, row A.
FIRST ROW DIRECTLY CENTER(with 5 fake rows in front of us ).
so basically, we had the best seats because we were exactly at stage level
(great pic seats), and on the side that the extremely beautiful kevin was at
mostly.
just breathe
Things worth mentioning ( I'll work up to my favorite)
OVERALL
1. Their harmonies are SO good
2. I love how in I want it that way they sang the whole song with little
breaks to let the fans sing, and then went through an entire verse letting us
sing. It sounded so cool, because everyone was singing, and they were smiling
so much
3. Mindi is amazing. That Back to your heart duet is so amazing, especially
since the whole crowd gets silent and just listens to the two of them playing
NICK
1. I personally don't love Nick's new haircut. But it's different, and the
rest of the crowd seemed to enjoy it.
2. When they were coming out of the black box and hovering in, Nick's got
stuck and he was standing around in the air for a while. He did typical Nick
position with hands on hips. It was cute
3. Someone had mentioned that Nick's face looked like he was trying to cover
up a little bruise. I noticed that on one of those big monitor thingies
4. When he sang am I sexual, he totally got into it. I think the crowd
appreciated it :)
HOWIE
1. He sang Spanish eyes really nicely
2. My friend is the anti-howie fan so I don't have much to report on him
3. During the Perfect fan his "little girl" was bigger than him. Taller than
him and everythingI thought it was hysterical
AJ
1. He has the funkiest soulful voiceI love it!
2. His hair is kinda short(not close cropped) and normal colorit looks good
3. I don't know if he ripped off his shirt because I couldn't see him from my
side too much.(if someone knows, can you let me know? Just wondering)
4. At one point, AJ decided to take off his shoes when they were all dancing in
in the white costumes(Everybody I think?). So he kicked them down to the crew
but it was hysterical because his pants were too long without the shoes, and
he kept having to pull them up.
5. In Florida AJ was on my side most of the time which made me like him more
because he was just having so much fun-which is extremely sexy. That whole
confidence thing definitely gets me. So I was kinda sad that I didn't see much
of him
6. When people were throwing things on the stage, he did this arm motion like
"bring it on" which was funny
7. He opened his water bottle and dumped the entire thing across the crowd,
exciting even more screams. The guy definitely knows how to pump up a crowd
8. At one point AJ went to Dennis' keyboard and started pummeling Guido. He
was just kind of smooshing Guido up into a little ball and moving him around.
It was hysterical
BRIAN
1. He used to be my favorite because he's such a cutie but in Florida he
wasn't very lively and took a back seat to the one and only Kevin. In Albany
I got to see a lot more of him during the concert, and he was pretty animated,
but it seems like he's not genuinely having fun with it.
2. I didn't see or hear a "hullo" which made me sad but he pointed a lot and did his little wave a lot which is really cute
3. When he first got the basketball on stage to play with , he was staring at it for a really long time. It was pretty funnylike he was inspecting it for something
4. He did a little cute hand motion when all the fans were throwing stuff, like "don't hit me!" with his cutie smile
5. One girl had a sign which said "Happy Birthday Brian" and he saw it, put his hands together and bowed in thanks, kinda like an asian" nice to meet you" bow. It was really cute
6. Once again, his voice is absolutely angelic. And I love watching him sing his parts on the monitor because he closes his eyes tilts his head upward and just sings, and his voice soars
KEVIN(saved the best for last)-as you can tell, he's my favorite, so there's going to be a lot about him
1. There is no way to describe how beautiful this man is. Chiseled face, intense eyes, sticky uppy hair, and THOSE BICEPS
2. While I think Brian is definitely the adorable one, Kevin has that gentle sweet thing down pat. He is going to make such a great dadhe treats these kids so nicely
3. During the Perfect Fan he illustrated this, not only staying with his little fan the whole time (as usual) but just talking to her, ad telling her what he was going to do next, and introducing her to the whole crowd. Very sweet
4. Its amazing-he plays into that dark intense look most of the time until
he starts having fun. That smile seems completely genuine, and he seemed to be
having a blast during the second half of the show. He was just bopping along
during the intros in Its gotta be you. It was just pure Kevin like he's not
even playing to a crowdjust chilling and having a good time. And did I
mention those biceps in that tank top he wears?
5. During Quit Playing Games, he was almost directly above me, which gave me a
great view. He started out flipping all the way out the spoke of the track,
and once he was there did an in place running man. He went back to throw
stuffed animals. Which was so sweet because he threw most of them to the upper level since they don't get as great of a view as the rest. Then he lay on his back and started doing the backstroke through the air. I thought I was going to bust a gut.
6. At one point, one of my friends who was with me (neither of them are huge
fans , they were just coming along because I ravedand they had a blast)
decided that she had come way too far to not get Kevin wave to me, so she told
us both to start waving frantically just to get his attention. We started
doing that and decided that he was the densest. It was hysterical. They were on the platform singing in their zoot suits, and he sang mostly with his eyes closed, and when he opened them his eyes glazed over our section. But my friend said that we were not allowed to stop waving until it was reciprocated. SO we obliged(pretty funny seeing three 20-21 year olds just jumping and waving like loonies), and after about ten minutes (finally!), when they were off the platform Kevin was singing, Brian comes up to him, sees us, hits him, and we get a wave from Kev. So it was a double recognition. I can die happy now J
7. During "Don't want you back", when they were on the ladders, I knew kevin
was going to turn upside down, but it was weird. He was slowly positioning
himself and all of a sudden, when they got to one of the "Don't want you back"
parts where you can hear Kevin's Bass voice, he just dropped upside down. His
head was really close to the floor so it kind of shocked me. But he made it out
alive, and were all happy
8. I noticed something recently...this is my big breakthrough theory. has
anyone noticed? If you listen to Milennium, there are some poitn when it sounds
like their is a voice over and brian is singing lead and lower harmony. Well,
thats really Brian singing lead and kevin singing harmony. Its really cool,
because I think Brian has the sweetest , angelic voice, but they sound exactly
alike; Kevin is just an octave lower (which makes his vocals not soar as much)
Just something I noticed
I didn't plan on writing this second review since the whole routine is
exactly the same but that's the beauty of the show, and the boys. It
doesn't matter that you know their moves and their costumes, and their
dialogues are predetermined. What matters is that the impeccable
harmonies, great songs, amazing dance moves, wonderful band, and
completely captivating group, are always there. And together with the
excitement and energy in the room, it makes for an amazing show.

I saw the Boys on Monday, February 14th and Tuesday, February 15th and
they put on a spectacular show!
Monday: The first night I was on the upper level and the view was
awesome! I liked it because I could see Brian pretty much at all
times! I was on the side where they came out...and Nick's board got
stuck! He reached the stage after the other guys were already
unhooked. When they did their intros A.J. asked all of us to be his
Valentines!! And of course we all let him know our answer of "YES!"
loud and clear! Plus, Nick asked us how we liked his new hairdo and we
all screamed our approval! Their vocals were amazing live. They had me
up out of my seat all night! But let's move on to the really good
stuff...
Tuesday: First of all, I was the second to last row on the floor at the
end. So that put me right to the left of where they came out. However,
better yet, it put me RIGHT NEXT to the backstage entrance!! First off,
one of their bodyguards took my bouquet of flowers & note that I had for
Brian backstage. Then, I saw John Norris from MTV. Then when the show
finally started the guys were right there over my section! I had an
awesome view and I could see the guys clearly. Then during "Quit
Playing Games (With My Heart)", Brian flew right over my section...I was
in 7th heaven! Then he made funny faces into the camera when he came
down...wiping his forehead with his hand and giving big sighs of
relief! He continued to make funny faces into the camera for most of
the night, including sticking out his tongue! They wowed us with
flawlessly going through the chair routine! The guys wowed us with
their slick moves for "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", "That's The Way I
Like It" and "We've Got It Goin' On".
Brian completely rocked the house when he got on his pole/ladder for
"Don't Want You Back"! He was rocking back and forth on it, and then he
got on top of it and was bouncing up and down!(are you trying to give me
a heart attack Brian?!) And of course, they made most of us cry when
they sang "The Perfect Fan". They did a great job during "All I Have To
Give" too! And they sang "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely"
beautifully! Then, during the beginning of "No One Else Comes Close",
A.J. waved to my friends and I!! Then later in the song, since the part
of the stage they were on revolved for that song, Brian waved to me!!(I
know it was to me because I was the only one in my section jumping up
and down and waving at the moment!) That alone probably would've made
my night...but more happened. While they were changing for their next
two songs, I got to meet Andrew Fromm, the writer of "I Need You
Tonight" & "Spanish Eyes"!! Then, Nick made us all scream (really
loudly) when he sang "Baby, it's the way ya make me, kinda get me go
crazy, never wanna stop!" Then, after the completely rockin'
performance of "It's Gotta Be You", the dancers came off stage, walking
right past me! So, I got to slap all of their hands. I think they were
a little surprised that we all wanted to touch them though.
Then came
the event that completely made my night! After the guys put on an
absolutely slammin' live version of "I Want It That Way", the guys went
under the stage...but then exited right by ME!! So, I stuck my hand out
between the two security guys, and first came the absolute greatest
moment...I got to touch BRIAN! Of course, he was being a tease, so he
was running ducked down...but I have really long arms so I was able to
touch the back of his head, neck, and his shoulder. Then, because I was
so busy flipping out because I had just gotten to touch Brian, I
completely missed A.J.! :( So, I stuck my hand back out and got to
touch Kevin's shoulder/upper arm...that boy has got some BIG muscles!!!
Then, their sec urity guard stepped in front of me so I couldn't touch
Nick or Howie, but I yelled out, "Hey Howie!" and he looked up at me and
smiled! Then, when the band members walked by, I yelled "Yeah Tommy!"
and he turned around and waved! So after all that was over with, I
spotted Leighanne, and waved to her! She smiled and waved back! So,
then my friends and I wandered around the floor and lower level so that
we wouldn't have to fight the huge crowd. That's when my friend went
over and talked to a crew member and got a big handful of confetti off
of the stage for me! (the two friends who were with me, weren't really
fans...but I'm pretty sure I converted them!!!)
So, all and all, everything was totally amazing both nights!! The Boys
are awesome performers and they put on wonderful shows! (my mom went
with me the first night and she absolutely loved it too!) Plus, incase
the Boys read this, I want to send out a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Brian &
Kevin. Even though I've known about Brian's engagement for two or three
weeks now, I'm really proud of him for announcing it and being
straight-forward and honest with the fans! I support you 110% Brian!!!

Hello, I just wanted to say that I attended the Backstreet Boys back to back
concerts on February 14th and 15th. I thought that the guys put on a great
show each night. On the 14th my night started off with a laugh when Nick got
stuck at the end with his surf board which he just stood there and laughed.
I also got a kick out of it when A.J. lost one of his shoes on stage while he
was dancing so he kicked off his other shoe and continued in his socks. I
also thought that A.J. put on a couple of pounds too but he still looked
great.
I really liked Nick's new hair cut. I hope that he keeps this new
look. The boys were sweet both nights and the fans loved it when they kept
telling us "Happy Valentines Day". Howie was Howie and I kept seeing him do
the signs of the cross before he flew in the air. Its too bad that he is
afraid of heights. I think he was a great rapper. Brian was such a cutie
but I missed his facial expressions that he usually did during the concerts.
Kevin was outstanding. He can really play the piano well and his voice was
amazing. I thought the band looked great and they played well. The dancers
were awsome to watch and they have lots of talent and energy. The 15th was
also a good night. Basically everything was the same but what they said was
a little different. I got some great pictures with my camera and was happy
to hear thats when Brian and Kevin got engaged while they were in Albany, NY.
I think that is awsome and wish them all the luck. I was happy that I got
to spend Valentines Day with them and the next day also. I was also
fortunate to get to meet some of them at the hotel where they were staying
and I think they are good people with great hearts. The performance was
breath taking and I will always have memories from the concerts and I will
continue to keep the Backstreet Pride alive until I see them again.

WHAT'S UP WITH NICK AND A.J.?? You want the answer
read down.
Okay everyone, be prepared this is more than an
concert review, this is our Albany/Backstreet
Experience. Well to start things off, we ended up
staying in the same hotel that the Backstreet Boys
were in. And I'm sure most of the people in Albany
know where this was because it couldn't of been more
obvious even if there was a sign with flashing lights
that said "BSB are staying here". When we first got
the hotel while checking in we saw a very suspicious
looking person sitting in the restaurant area that
happen to look a lot like A.J., well we were fooled
for a few minutes but it turned out to be an aspiring
A.J.. we're telling you the facial hair and even the
eyes made him a good decoy, but it was very amusing to
see him walk by and for the girls to take a double
take or even take pictures of him, thinking it was
A.J.
But anyways... on to the real Backstreet Boys.
Our first encounter of the day was when we happen to
come upon the floor that they were doing their MTV
interview on. The elevator door opened and we stepped
out and looked over to a person sitting on the couch
and were like "Oh look, it's Howie" (what was amazing
is that we were very calm and didn't move a muscle,
time froze for a minute, I swear!!) Just as he looked
over to us, security jumped in front of us, and said
"This is a restricted area ... don't do this again or
you'll be kicked out" (May we add that this was not
the BSB security, but the one for the hotel, they were
rude) Then we went back into our room and decided to
go eat at the "special" McDonald's (inside joke, ask
the boys if you have a chance, they might have an
idea).
The elevator we took decided not to stop in
the lobby, but on level B (this was not on purpose),
where the Backstreet Boys were. Once again, the doors
opened and we saw Brian there talking to someone. I
think he had the feeling someone was watching him and
looked over to us and turned away really quickly,... I
think he was afraid for some reason (don't worry
B-Rok, we are normal fans). Thinking our Backstreet
sightings were done for the day, we decided to go down
to the pool for a swim. Just when we were about to
get into the pool, we heard a lot of commotion, so
being the curious fans that we are, we went up the
stairs to the B level and there was Kevin signing some
autographs (we didn't have anything for him to sign,
so we were SOL, but we did have a camera). Kevin had
to go, so then we stood there for awhile ... during
which this time a guy fell down a whole set of stairs,
sorry we had to add it because it was so funny ...
guess you had to be there. Then we spotted Howie once
again, who was making his way over to this growing
group of fans ... then came in Nick, then A.J., and
then Brian and Kevin.
They all were signing
autographs, workin the crowd, ya know all the cool fan
stuff (such nice boys they are!!) Oh, and we have to
add this, what's up with some of you "older fans"
getting your autographs and not moving back so the
younger kids can get their chance... SO NOT COOL! Now
don't go thinking we're teenyboppers, we are all 21
and found this rude, don't hog the boys, especially
because of the younger kids, they enjoy it more than
you do. And if you do see them in this type of
situation ... DON'T FREAKIN SCREAM, it's not only
annoying to the boys, but also to the other calm fans.
In the words of Kevin "Just Relax!", they are human
beings after all. And that was the end of our
sightings, until the concert that night, which was the
second concert. As for the concerts we went to, I'm
sure you've read enough reviews...so you all know what
happens. The shows kicked butt, and they were great
as usual. Oh and when Howie said that from what he
can tell from the hotel that Albany has got it going
on ... he was talking about us!!! (LOL, don't burst
our bubble please) We would like to Congratulate both
Kevin and Brian on their engagements!! Keep the
Backstreet Pride Alive!! (Let's prove Carson wrong,
don't lower your standards to NSYNC just because they
are "single")
HAPPINESS IS THE ANSWER TO THE NICK AND A.J.
QUESTION... just an interesting observation made at
the concerts.
Sincerely,
The Three Little Devils

I had never thought in my life i would be going to my favorite bands
conert but it finally came true. i went to the concert with my cousin
stacy, my aunt, my mom and my neighbor and her two daughters. no one
wanted to drive to albany from my house in massachusetts, which is only
like an hour from albany, so we rented a saburban ( i think that's how u
spell it) with a driver. he picked us up at 5:30 and off we went. i
wasn't to nervous but really, excited! we finally got the the pepsi
arena around 6:30. it was sooooooo crowded. well anyway, i bought a
shirt ($30) and a program ($20) and then went to find our seats which
were really good. they weren't up front and weren't nose bleed seats
either. right in the middle. i thought they were good. especially for
the money we spent on them. well anyway. around 7:30 these dj/rapper
guys came out. i can't remember their names, but they kept sayin VIP.
so maybe that was their name. they rapped and did some djing and stuff
like that. they were ok. then a singer named rakelle ( don't know how
to spell it ) came out around 8:00. i did not enjoy her. she had a
real kiddy voice and had a really tight outfit on which wasn't doin her
any good cuz she wasn't exactly a barbie doll. then she got off around
8:15. so i'm waitin and waitin. then on the big screen thingy right in
front of us ( i'm sure there's a technical name for that screen but i
dunno what it is) an advertisment came on for um...o god i forgot the
web site. o'well. this web site was sponsoring the tour and had a
whole thing on with clips from the bsb concerts and OMG i went nuts.
well anyway. at about 8:30 the band came on and the lights went down
and i knew this was it. the band played something and the stage lit up
with all green lights around it. it was really kewl. then i heard the
star wars music playing and i started screamin. on the screen in front
of us i could see the guys startin to fly in, but i couldn't see them.
i was freakin out. then my ma pointed over to the right and ou t of
this box thingy came the guys on the serf board things. OMG. they were
finally there. i was jumpin up and down so much i dropped my camera. i
almost started cryin then the lady in front of me found it for me.
thank god. so i took a pic of them comin in. they landed on the stage
lookin all serious. a close up of kevin came up on the screen and the
other guys TRYIN to act serious except nick. he was smilin a little.
then they walked around the stage with the dancers like marching like
soldiors so everyone could see them. then the music to larger than life
came on. and they were dancin, and singin, and i was screamin and
dancin and singin. they can dance soooo damn good. then they sand get
down. that's a good song. i loved it when aj started rappin. :o)
then the guys went under the stage to change except nick who introduced
himself and welcomed us to the show. then he said do u guys notice
anythin different. then he scratched his head and was like o yeah i cut
my hair. it looked ok. not great. but ok. then kevin came and
talked a little. he looked good. then aj. oooo i love him. he said
sometin about all the fine lookin ladies in the house and how we'd all
keep him warm on that cold night. :o) then howie said someting. i
dunno what. just the usual i guess. thanks for comin and so on. then
brian came. he was cute. thankin everyone for their love and support
and prayers. they sang as long as u love me and did the chair routine.
it was soo cool. got some good pics of that. i can't really remember
the order of the songs so sorry. i was kinda in shock.
when they did
quit playin games the flew around. that was the best part. no one was
flyin in front of us but aj was to the left of us and howie was to the
right. howie was throwing flowers. i wanted one but couldn't get one.
aj was hangin upside down and howie was doing a bunch of back flips. i
wasn't really payin attention to the other guys. they came back to the
stage and howie was fallin down cuz he was dizzy from doin all the
flips. lol. the sang don't wanna lose u now. which was done good. and
don't want u back. that was really good. they were hangin on those
ladders and stuff. it was kewl. they sang we've got it goin on. then
the guys ran off the stage and there was a thundering noise and
lightining so i knew they were gonna sing backstreet's back. and they
did. they came out all in white. all the dancers were in white too so
it was hard to tell a bsb from a dancer. they sang all i have to give
with the hat routine. they did the perfect fan and brought a mother and
daughter on stage. i was sooooooooo jelous. they did back to your
heart. the brought down the white piano and kevin did a solo with
mindi. the other guys sat on the stage together singing. but i was mad
cuz during the whole song they sat on the same side of the stage. they
didn't move around. i could c them but not too well. only on the
screen. o'well. i don' care. at one point ( can't remember when ) they
said good night and everythin g. i knew it wasn't over though. it was
funny to watch the people who really though it was over leavin. lol.
they came back and sang show me the meaning of being lonely. they did
that really well. they had the girl dancers dancin with read dresses
on. the guys were on this thingy that came out of the middle of the
stage. then they changed again. they sang it's gotta be you. then did
the dancers battle.
that's when they introduced the dancers and
musicians. the girl dancers are so trampy. i don't like them. they
were all over the guys and everything. well anyways. aj was on our
side and itroduced mindi and the dancers. when everyone else was
introducing their people aj was like dancin and doing really weird
stuff. he's soo kewl. o' at one point, i think it was in the beginning
of the conert him and nick were doin this really weird dance. it was so
cute and funny. lol . then they sang that's the way i like it. that's
a good song. then they left again and more people thought the conert
wa s over and left. then they came back and sang i want it that way.
that was good. i love them soooo much. then they said good night for
real this time. :o( aj was talkin and nick had his arm around his
shoulder just bein goofy. this may not sound funny to u but i thought
it was funny. someone threw a pack of twinkies on the stage and nick
picked them up and aj was like o twinkies. he said it in a really funny
way. nic was chewin on the bag tryin to eat the bag. lol. then they
all went around with the dancers bowin. they had really kewl outfits on
too during the concert. they had those vest things on in the beginning
then these long black coats. aj had on a cowboy hat thingy through most
of the show. they had the pink outfits on. those were nice. at the
end i heard that they used to wear pajama bottom pants or somethin. not
anymore. nick had on just some cargo pants and and a football jersey
with the number 33 i think. howie had one on too but it looked more
like a hockey jersey. brian h ad a nice long sleeved shirt with pants.
aj had on cargo pants with a yellow tank top. o he looked good! and kev
had on green cargo pants with an orange tank top. he has a nice body. i
mostly saw aj, howie and nick.
i din't see much of brian or kevin.
they didn't come to my side much. i could only see them on the big
screen. kev didn't do anythin funny or weird. to mature for that i
guess. i could see on the screen that brian was doin some funny faces
and stuff. he's funny. well that was my backstreet experience that i
will never forget.

i'm sure everyone heard about nick's new do and the mis hap that he got
caught on his surfboard and was stuck but the cocnert was awesome....
on the 15th Aj ripped off his shirt nick wore aj's cowboy hat sideways and
they were just so cute! brian had a basketball, signed it and then trew it to
a girl in the crowd... but the best
i was at the bsb hotel on the 15th in the afternoon! now anyone that was
there knew it was a hetic day.. i got to the crowne plaza in albany at about
1130 am and was there till530. bsb did do an interview with mtv there and
leighanne and mandy(darkhaired) were both in the building. i actually talked
to both of them, leighanne while she was walking tyke who is now huge 4
pouynds of him! compardd to the little one they know have who only weighs 2!

Albany NY Feburary 15th
One word. Awesome. I went there to expect a great show. The opening acts
were these 2 Freestylers. Then Rochelle (Is that her name?) Went on stage and
sang for a few. Finally The Guys came out on surfboards singing LtL!! It was
Great! At the end, They introduced all the dancers & Band members and played
IWITW. Tley all looked good! They all sang good! And it seemed that there
were "Sides" That each of the guys were on. Nick was on my side. Anyone who
is going to the concert It is worth it!!!!

The lights are going down.
A single scream.
Others catch on.
Soon, this room is your world, and that puff of smoke coming from that box is
your heaven.
Forget all your heartbreaks, Sadness, and Physical and Mental Oddities.
Everyone is beautiful. Everything is beautiful. Life is beautiful.
This is the first thing you feel every time the lights go down. Every one of
your senses is pulling you in a different direction. Then ... you see it. A
little bit of Brown, Dirty reddish blond, Blond, Dark Brown, and Dark Brown
with Streaks. It's their hair! Your Heroes Are HERE! Your mind goes blank
and all you can do is scream like the rest of the crowd. Here they come.
I've gone to 2 of my dear, sweet, talented, good looking band's concerts.
And let me tell you ... both times you feel it. It's like electricity going
through your veins and every limb of your body. Your chest feels like it's
going to pop because your heart is pounding like mad.
The buffalo concert was held on November 14, 1999, at the Marine Midland
arena. I was not on the floor but had 8th row tickets in the 100 section.
Yes, Nick and Brian were both sick, but It was still amazing. My Brian
Thomas Littrell that I had held so close to my heart for 2 years, blew a kiss
to me. I thought I would never see a concert better, or even as good, as the
one I had just seen.
But I was wrong.
At the Albany concert, There was crying, laughter, joy, screaming, and more
screaming locked into one room. I, Shannan (13 years old), was there with my
cousin, Deanna (11, her favorite is Howie), my Mom, Kathy (her age is not to
be told, but she likes Kev), and my aunt, Darlene (same age theory as my mom,
except she likes Howie). Every one of us had the time of our lives. I
wasn't in the 8th row, but I did have just as an amazing (or even better)
view as before. I had a box. Deanna isn't the one to go crazy, but no one
could hold it back.
It was definitely a better concert than before. I can't remember everything
because it's all just slurred together but I could never forget the few main
highlights.
At the beginning, when the fly out of the box, Nick got stuck in Midair.
When everybody else landed, he was still just hanging there. He made up for
it by striking flying poses. Everyone was laughing and screaming. After
they did their first couple songs (which both parents and daughters joined in
on), they out and each said their own little speech. Nick made it clear that
he got a new haircut. We made it clear that he looked GOOD. Kevin thanked
us gratefully for being their that night and welcomed "Each and every one of
[us]." Howie AJ, and Brian all asked us to be their Valentines. We accepted
(with a bit of enthusiasm). I was Brian's Valentine! Well, ... later in the
show they did their flying extravaganza during "Quit Playing Games". That
was one thing that got the crowd really pumped. Everyone was throwing their
stuffed animals they had bought to them and the Boys would kiss them and
throw them into the crowd. One fan was even successful enough to smack Kevin
(who was doing somersaults in the air near me) right in the head with a box
of chocolates ... showering the crowd with what I like to call "Chocolates
from Heaven". Brian actually came out near me!
The Next highlight was probably when the brought out the silver ladders.
They boys climbed on them and were hanging upside-down for the longest time.
Later, we could tell Kevin Got Yelled at for hanging upside-down "too long".
I didn't have any problems with it, that's for sure.
Next, They came out in salmon colored suits and did the hat dance from the
music video "All I Have To Give". But it even got better! They all sat down
during either "No One Else Comes Close" or "Don't Wanna Lose You Now" (Deanna
and I can't remember) and the stage spun! It was awesome! Though it may
sound unlikely, it got better still (for me)! When Brian came to my side, he
looked in my general direction. I (being my outgoing self) leaned over the
people in front of me's seat, stuck my bright neon blue and gold sign that
read "Be Mine, B Rok" with glow in the dark marker and pictures of him on it
way in the air to get his attention. Since he was looking at me (as I hoped
at the time) I did as cool and calm and collected wave as I could right then,
hoping he was actually looking at me and he would wave back. To my
uncontainable surprise, he waved right back. My mouth dropped and I stopped
waving. He smiled ... obviously noticing my surprise and waved again. Since
the stage was still spinning... He was gone. I told my cousin and my mom.
Next time he came around, I did the same and he waved again. My cousin had
the same sign as I only hers read "Howie Be My Valentine" and waved hers in
the air. Brian noticed it and poked Howie who was sitting next to him and
pointed at her sign. Howie waved. Deanna went nuts.
Nothing after that incident could ever "Come Close" (hehe), but they still
did amazing. Kevin Played the piano, Howie did a rap, and they introduced
the band and the dancers by having a dancing "war". They wowed everyone.
This concert was not as loud or big as the Marine Midland Arena concert, but
it was definitely a concert My cousin and I will remember the rest of our
lives.

2 hours online. Credit card. Determination. That's what I needed to get
to this year's 2000 Valentine's Day Backstreet Boy's concert. I
certainly got there! I maybe went through the most trouble of anyone. 4
different friends all backing out on me, and no ride to the concert.
Eventually, I got my aunt and 8 year-old cousin to accompany me. YEAH!
(Sarcasm) My aunt can be less that friendly at times, and my cousin can
be incredibly shrill. But I insisted to myself that I was going to have
fun. Luckily, we had a snow day Monday, so we could leave early on the 3
hour ride to Albany. The car ride was uneventful, (Yippy!) and my uncle
dropped us up in front of the venue. We wandered in search of a
bathroom, (Fun).
While there, I made tons of new friends. I love talking to people!
:) Then we bought concert pictures. THERE WAS TONS FOR SALE! All
expensive. Here's my hint to everyone. Don't buy a shirt before the
concert. They cost $30's then, and afterwards, when you are walking out,
there are men standing there yelling "Shirts half price! Shirts 10
dollars!" Much better. The had the tour laminates on the end of the
Backstreet Boys necklace thing, again, and a dog tag on a chain.
Buttons, Bucket hats (sorry, those were $30 as well!) posters, glow
sticks, binoculars, $20 dollar programs (My advice? Skip em. They are
just pictures. I bought one, then bought it back to the guy. He was
nice, and gave me my money back) There are 2 group 8 by 5's (one you've
gotta really search for) and one of each guy. Only A.J. and Howie's are
clear. Finally, we waited in line, and the security was... well,
unfriendly. They kept opening and shutting the doors, and enjoying the
screams and angry faces. When we were in, we went straight fo r the food
(The lines get horrendous later).
Our seats were awesome. Just off the floor. So there was no one
standing in front of us. Perfect view. We had a while to wait, so I made
a few more friends :). Then a man came out and introduced Rockell. She
has an interesting voice. Check out her site at www.peeps.com/rockell/.
She sang "When I'm Gone" And "In A Dream". After she was gone, a bored
16 year old (i'm approxomating) starting dancing and working the crowd
from the floor. He took his shirt off, causing screams. People were
taking pictures and everything. Security made him put his shirt back on.
Then, once he'd stopped dancing, a woman called him over and handed him
something. It looked like a pass to me.... Everyone get their boyfriends
to dance for the crowd! (LOL)
We had to wait a half hour before the BSB came out, but eventually,
greeting by deafening screams, they rode their surfboards out. I don't
know if Nick got stuck or something, but he was just coming out when
everyone else had landed. This whole part of the flying thing was lost
on me. They were completley on the other side of the arena, and it
didn't last very long. But that was the very worst part!
I know tons of other people have talked about the song list and
stuff, so i won't get into that. Except that when they flew over me, it
was A.J. and during the song, "Quit Playing Games." I waved at him, and
he waved back at me, pulling goofy faces. He's my new favorite :) He
threw stuffed toys and emptied bottles of water on everyone's heads. But
he made retarded faces at me. I feel so special! My picture of him
didn't turn out very good, but I have my memories. My cousin waved
franticly at Brian, and he waved back, so she jumped up and down all
over me, really excited. Not thinking he would see me, i crossed my arms
over my chest and glared at him. He winked at me, and I thought, opps,
he can see me. Oh well! Nick looked very nice with his new hair. When he
first came out, he was like, "is there something diffrent?" and everyone
screamed, "Your hair!" Then he said again, is there anything diffrent?"
And we screamed "your hair!" Again. Finally he said, "Oh, that's right!
I cut my hair!" ok, a little extr a blonde there, huh?
Toward the end, Brian had a basketball, it was cute. He was sort of
bouncing it and not paying any attention to anyone else. Nick took it,
but Brian took it back later.
It was a great concert, over all. The dancers were awesome. During
all the costume changes, Mindi played the Sax. She also played during
Kevin's piano part. SHe's awesome! Very Very good player. (she looked
kind of weird with her pom pom hair doo though...
I suggest that everyone who has a chance goes to this concert. One
of a kind!

I just wanted to tell all you you adoring backstreet boys fans that i saw
there show on valentine's day and i must say that the five hour trip to get
there was well worth it..Nick got his hair cut and he looks so hot, i took 12
rolls of film with me and use 9 of them i will be sending in some of these
picks for you to admire. this was my second show as we saw them in buffalo
new york back in november. the guards are so nice and they will give the
guys anything that you give to them. i had like five gift bags full, so if
you want them to have something just give it to the guards.
they started the show with larger than life of course, nick got stuck in the
air on his surf board and it was great here his hanging over the crowd not
knowing what to do so he was playing and waving at all the girls near him.
then get down and i must say that nick i getting just like aj boy was he
getting nasty on the stage(not that i'm complaining)lol. i'm not sure of the
order of the rest of the songs as i was to intent on getting brian's
attention.
We (me 29 year old mom, and 3 girls wore glowing in the dark star
hats. and letme tell you we made the news in november and again in albany,
the crazier you look the more they look at you. brian waved and patted his
head while singing it's gotta be you and he was smiling so big he made my
heart melt i have a great picture of that too. not that i'll ever give it up.
they wished everyone a happy valentine's day and when they were flying over
us they were throwing candy and flowers to the audience. when they all i have
to give, back to your heart and quit playing games they wore the pink zoot
suits you see them in in the posters that i'm sure you have. and boy did they
give their all. they closed the show with i want it that way and let me tell
you they looked so good in their normal clothes and not all the glitzy stuff
just wearing what the were confy in. they started throwing stuff out to the
audience that was all over the stage including all of the confetti that fell
from the dome. all in all i will never forget the wonderful memories of
being noticed twice by the one i admire the most BRIAN. SO DON'T FORGET THE
MORE YOU DO THE MORE YOU GET NOTICED. WE HAD A MILLION AND ONE COMPLIMENTS ON
OUR HATS IT WAS JUST GREAT.
WELL TILL THE NEXT CONCERT THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY AND LOOK FOR MY PICTURES
HERE ON THIS PAGE AS I WILL BE PUTTING THEM ON IN A DAY OR SO..

February 14th. Valentine’s Day. And not only that, but also the day me and 3
of my friends went to see the Backstreet Boys! Finally, after trying my
damnedest to get tickets, I am finally there. I didn’t get to go see them in
Boston because Ticketmaster blows. And then I almost catch pneumonia after a
hellacious tryst trying to buy tickets for the show in Albany. I had to
traipse all over Connecticut and Massachusetts trying to get tickets (which,
as you can tell, I got. WOO HOO!!!). But let me tell you, it was well worth
the struggle.
First and foremost, the one thing that I have to say is…IT KICKED MAJOR
@$$!!! There is no way anything could ever top a Backstreet Boys concert. It
was THE best. OK, lemme start from the beginning. And just so you know I was
very elated during the whole concert, actually I was almost to the point of
euphoria, so I could have the song order wrong. But I think for the most part
I got it right. So anyhow, my mom brought us all the way to Albany, almost a
2 hour drive, for the concert (thanks Mom!), which she wasn’t gonna be able
to see because there was a four ticket limit and we would have needed five.
Well we got to the Pepsi Arena around like 6:30 and we got some programs and
t-shirts and stuff. We found our seats (which were on section 214, row K,
seats 1-4, if you wanted to know). Even though we were in the corner and it
seamed like we would be far away, we weren’t. The seats were really good.
Actually anywhere you sit is a great seat. That really surprised me. Then at
like 7:30 the lights went down and a girl named Raquel came out. She sang 2
or 3 different songs, including her single In A Dream. Then the lights came
back on and we waited. And we waited. And we waited. The crowd got rowdy and
we started doing the wave and chanting “Backstreet Boys”. And in the spot
where the Backstreet Boys fly out there were some like security people or
something, and they kept waving and stuff. Everyone in the crowd thought it
was the BSB. But eventually we figured out it wasn’t them.
Finally at about at 8:30 the lights went down again and the whole arena went
crazy psycho, including me. Then they came out on these kickin’ spaceboards,
and started to fly towards the stage. But then NICK GOT STUCK. Poor Nick was
left hanging there. He put his hands on his hips and hammed it up. His face
was like “OK you can make me fly now”. And finally he started moving towards
the stage. All of them looked so HOT!!! Nick cut his hair and it makes him
look so much better. I love it. And AJ (my favorite) looked better than ever.
Then they went into Larger Than Life. After that they did Get Down. Then they
went under the stage.
Nick came out by himself and asked if we noticed anything different. He said
something like “I can’t really figure it out. Oh yeah. I got my hair cut. Do
you like it? -- crowd screams -- I'll take a vote later”. It was cute. Then
AJ came out and said something about it being Valentine’s Day. He asked us if
we would be his valentine. Everybody screamed. Then he said something about
there being so many beautiful ladies in the audience. What a flirt!!! Then
Brian, Kev, and Howie came out and said their hello’s. Then they all came
back out wearing I think white or blue suits, and did The One, As Long As You
Love Me, and Don’t Wanna Lose You Now.
At that point my mother came in the arena. I had no idea what she was doing
there. Then she told me what had happened. Some how she finagled herself a
ticket from some guy. She only paid $20 for it. And it was a really good seat
(section 106, row L, seat 1). She found us and showed me the ticket. I traded
my seat with her and left my three friends to go sit down there. (Sorry
Kristen, Kristyn, and Nicki. I had to. It was so close!!! And if you were me
you would have done the same!). Anyways, I was running like hell to get over
to the new seat. It was during Quit Playing Games With My Heart, so I missed
half the part when they were flying. And I was so mad because if I got over
to the seat in time Nick or Kevin would have been like right above my head!
AHHHHHHH! Sorry, I lost it there for a minute. I’m ok now, really. So, back
to the concert. They went right into We’ve Got It Goin’ On. During the song
AJ lost his shoe! He did a little kick thingie and it came flying off. It was
cute. He was like in the middle of the rap part thing and he was like I LOST
MY SHOE! So funny. He kicked off the other one and finished the rest of the
of the medley segment with no shoes. Then they went into That’s The Way I
Like It. That was so good. Nick and AJ like ripped off their over shirts and
were in tank tops. Let me tell you something, NICK WAS SUCH A SEXY THING!
OMG, you have no idea. He was like doing all these pelvic thrusts and doing
these little sexy things with the girl dancers and basically acting almost
like AJ. Hee Hee Hee!!!
The bestest part, my favorite part, was when they did Don’t Want You Back.
They were climbing on these ladder thingies. It was so coolbeans. They all
were incredibly hot doing this song. I loved it. After they did that they
sang Perfect Fan. You know the drill for this song. Each of the 5 guys
brought up a mother and a daughter on stage. I dunno how they all could be as
calm as they were. I would be flippin’. Anyway, that was really sweet. After
that they did my favorite song, Back To Your Heart. Kevin played the piano
for this song. I almost cried. It was the SO awesome. At this point I ran out
of film in my camera. I only brought 4 rolls of film. I knew I should have
brought more.
Next they did another outfit switch. They were wearing pink suits now. And
they were all in the middle of the stage. I do believe they did Spanish Eyes
at that point. Then they did I’ll Never Break Your Heart and All I Have To
Give. I really enjoyed the dance routine for All I Have To Give. Next was Show
Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely then No One Else Comes Close, I think. It
could be the other way around. Actually I’m pretty sure it was the other way
around. Anyway, near the end of Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely the guys
did a dance routine with the female dancers. It was pretty good. Then they
went to change again.
The band started to play Backstreet’s Back. Then the dancers came out and did
the opening routine to that song. Then the boys came out dressed in white and
silver outfits. Very sexy. Nick and AJ were way fine. They both did kinky
little dances. OMG!!! Hee hee hee.
After that they changed again. They came out in normal looking street
clothes. Nick was wearing something that looked lie a football jersey or
something. AJ and Kev were in tank tops. Brian was in a baseball looking
shirt. And Howie was in a black hooded sweatshirt. They started to do It’s
Gotta Be You. It rocked because in the middle of the song they kinda stopped
and they dancers did like a battle of the sexes kinda thing. The male and
female dancers did a dancing face off. It was cool. Then they introduced the
band and dancers. Each of the boys introduced one person in the band (except
Kevin he introduced 2 of them) and 2 of the dancers. Then they would do a
little free-styling. It was really cute when Howie did a little rap when it
was his turn to introduce. Nick was helping him out. I enjoyed that. Then
they went back into It’s Gotta Be You and finished out the song. At the end
of the song, confetti fell and they said thanks for coming and goodnight.
Then they all joined hands with each other and the dancers and bowed. Some
people started to leave because they thought it was over. I knew it wasn’t
because they still haven’t done I Want It That Way. And that’s when they
came back out and started to sing it. They were still wearing the same
outfits from It’s Gotta Be You. AJ was teasing the audience with a bottle of
water he had. Finally when it was his turn to sing his verse he got everyone
who was in the front rows wet. It was so cutieness. Then he got another
bottle of water and got everyone on the other side wet. They finished the
song and said goodnight for real this time. My heart fell. It was over. I
didn’t want to leave. But I had a long drive ahead of me. Plus my mom made
me. LOL.
All in all, the concert was the best one I’ve been to so far (and I’ve been
to 3). The Into The Millennium tour was by far THE best! It was really cool
that it was in the round. That way, where ever you sat was like a really,
really good seat. And they moved around the stage a lot, so you got to see
all of the guys at least ten times. Plus the Backstreet Boys are so
incredibly talented. And not to mention that they are all very, very, very
good looking guys. Especially AJ!!!

Well the concert Valentine's Day was awesome to say the least! My son and I
drove out from Massachusetts and were totally thrilled with the great stage show
they put on that night!
The opener, Roquelle, wasn't anything to write home about. She basically stayed on
one side of the round stage and the dancers (2 of them) never moved around at all.
So I thought that was really unfair to the people around the arena.
But then the lights went down, smoke began to pour and Star Wars theme was
playing. The girls were screaming and the boys appeared on their boards! Nick
was the last to arrive to the stage. He stayed back while AJ, Brian, Kevin and
Howie went to the stage together. It was kind of cute because he stood there with
his hands on his hips like 'Capt. America' or something, ha! He finally made it to the
stage and the concert began.
Nick did his same intro. about his haircut like he did in PA. He looked really cute,
as always. I didn't think he was so buffed though, maybe a little chunky but no
matter what he still looks fine as ever!
They all changed outfits 4 times total throughout the concert. They looked hot in
everything. Now Nick is my favorite so I was thrilled that for the most part of the
concert he was on our side of the stage. When they wore the black leather type
pants though, his were really snug around 'you know where' ... not sure if they were
supposed to be that way or the pants are just a little tighter they should be ... he
looked great!
During the 'Perfect Fan' they did their normal of bringing mothers/daughters on
stage. I was really impressed with Kevin who sat and talked to his pair alot. The
other guys stayed standing on the stage and singing.
One of my favorite parts was when they were flying over the audience, throwing and
catching stuff. It was so interactive.
Howie did the MC routine with Nick which was cute. I have to admit, I was a little
disappointed that AJ wasn't his normal rowdy self. He did a few things but nothing
like I had expected from him. Of all of them, I would say that Nick really played to
the crowd the very most. He really seemed to be into the whole show more than the
other 4. Not to mention, he's growing up too. It was great to see him shake his stuff
and carry on unlike the concert videos depict of him.
Well, thats about it, I'm sure everyone that night enjoyed it as much as I did. It went
by so fast..... Can't wait to see them again when they put out another album. They
definitely put on one of the best stage show performances I've ever seen, and thats
quite a few in my time!
Sincerely, Patti

As the song goes "I,ll go anywhere for you" I will.
I went last night {Mon.} to see our favorite boys perform in Albany. What can
i say they were totally awesome. i have seen them twice this year once on
Long Island where i am from and this past Fri. night at penn state. both of
those shows were fantastic but the one Mon. night just seems to stand out.
they were so full of energy and confidence it just filled the arena. for
those who haven,t been to a concert yet it is well worth the wait and
anticipation. they will not disappoint you and for those who have been before
and will be seeing them again get ready for the thrill of a lifetime.
now i won,t bore you with all the same stuff you have heard or read about. i
will say they have changed the show alittle. they have a few new costumes
that are really cool and have changed a bit of their moves and some of their
vocal arrangements are alittle different but only for the better. boy, can
Nick sing and yes his hair looks great he is just soo gorgeous. kevin looked
hot they all looked hot!!!
Well if i had to rate this show it would be off the charts so go and see for
yourself and let me know what you think.
One last note i have always wanted to meet them or at least see them up close
and guess what i did. i got to see Aj Howie and Kevin at the hotel and they
really are like normal people just like you and me.
So please keep the pride alive and show your support they definetly deserve
it.
thanks, lynne

All I have to say is that the Backstreet Boys know how to put on a show!!
This was my third concert on the Millennium tour and the boys put on an
excellent show, as always!! and the best part is that it was on Valentine's
Day!
At first I didn't know if my friend and I would make it because the weather
was really bad, but we made it with plenty of time to spare! The only thing
we were disappointed in was the opening act. We had heard that Jessica
Simpson was the opening act, so when we saw Raquel (or whatever) we were
upset. She wasn't very good or orginial, and I only vaguely recognized one
of her songs, but she was only the opening act so it wasn't that big of a
deal.
By now, you all know the order of the songs so I will mention only the
highlights! Brian, AJ, and Howie wished us all a happy valentine's day- aj
especially turned on the charm-- he asked if anyone would be his valentine,
and if anyone could keep him warm on the cold night! The crowd went wild!!
Nick got his hair cut and it looked really good- i was so happy! It will be
a good luck for the grammy's! nick actually asked the crowd if we noticed
anything different and he said, "I got my hair cut. do you like it?"
other cute moments include the time when nick kicked aj in the butt for
some reason or another, nick fixing kevin's microphone, aj pegging flowers
at howie, brian dancing with the rose during "show me the meaning", brian
and nick playing with the basketball during "I want it that way", howie
rapping as "MC Freaky D", aj playing the violin during the "perfect fan",
howie getting sexual with his pole, kevin's agressive head nods, brian
putting on the white hat during "i want it that way" and playing with a
little tyke, brian ducking when everyone was throwing roses at him, brian
and nick singing together during "i want it that way", nick's robot moves
during "larger than life", kevin singing upside down on his pole, brian
kicking his leg during the perfect fan, nick playing the key boards with
dennis gallo, nick handing a girl in the audience a rose, kevin talking to
his girl during the "perfect fan", kevin said it was "hotter than hell",
aj's many pelvic thrusts, aj pegging his cover to his water bottle at dennis
gallo and laughing, aj saying that mindi was his "tatoo artist", nick and
howie talking to each other during "back to your heart",nick looking over to
where we were sitting during "quit playing games", guido sitting on dennis's
keyboards, kevin's scar, kevin's orange wifebeater's, aj's yellow wife
beater, seeing nick's tatoo, brian's cute outfit in the end, the blue sleeved
shirt, when nick was introducing his dancer, he said the only girl with
"spanish eyes", the crowd singing during "I want it that way", and my
favorite part of the entire concert was when the boys stood around in a
circle and sang "don't want to hear, don't want to hear you say" and they
were all bent over, and putting their hands in the middle of the circle.
howie had a rose that he kept on putting into the middle of the circle.
Other moments include howie throwing kisses, nick singing in "show me the
meaning", brian kicking his leg during "perfect fan", brian singing "and i
know" during "i want it that way", brian bent over singing his part in "it's
gotta be you", when kevin asked if there were any mothers in the audience,
then he asked if there were any ladies in the audience, aj saying that there
were alot of beautiful ladies in the audience, kristen (the dancer) pushing
nick during "that's the way i like it", and so many more, but this is
getting long so i will sign off. lets just say that it was the best
valentine's day in my life! tracey

Last night was one of the best nights of my life. Let me start from the
beginning. The Concert started at 7:30, doors opened at 6:30 (I was there at
6) Anyways....Finally after what seemed like forever the lights went out,
Everyone got all excited and started screaming.....It was only the opening
act. It was this girl Raquell (s/p?) Anyways...she only sang 2 songs then she
was done. It was anther 30 mins till bsb finally came on. They Came on to the
Theme song from star wars. It was really funny though cuz Nick got stuck and
couldn't fly on stage w/ the rest of the guys. Then They Did "Larger Than
Life" "Get Down" and"The One" . Then They all talked to the crowd about
Valentine's Day, and Nick asked how we liked his hair. They did a couple
other songs then they did "Quit Playing Games" They flew over the audience
for this. I was soo close to Nick. A couple more costume changes then they
did "No One Else Comes Close" and Howie read our sign!! it said "No One Else
Comes Close" To BSB. I was so happy. Kevin's piano solo was amazing. It
really showed there true talent. For There first encore they did "Show Me The
Meaning" and "Its Gotta Be You" and introduced the dancers and band. When
Howie did his "rapping" me & my friend were rolling on the ground. They They
did a costume change and did "I Want It That Way". It was amazing. The whole
show was awesome and it truly showed how talented they are. Sorry its so long
:) Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive!!!!!

It's Monday morning 7AM...great ANOTHER Monday morning! Then, the fact hit
me, I could be at Pepsi arena in Albany, New York with my valentines the
Backstreet Boys! SO I go to school and I'm just totally physced and I get
cameras from ALL my friends, after all, I do have 10th row... So I leave
school at 12 where my dad is there to pick me up. I get in the car and we go
pick my friend up, and then we go back to my house to wait from my Mom. Well,
my Mom gets home and she thought my outfit was really funny! I had jeans, a
tour T-shirt, a vest w/ BSB pins and stickers all over it, my BSB hat, those
passes that are like fake, ya know what I'm talking about right..., a glow
stick. So it's now like 12:30 and we're leaving my house. We're from
eastern MA, it took us like 4 hours to get there....but that's OK! I won't
tell you about that! OK, with sign in hand We went to the arena, and in the
garage there were like a lot of people so I went and asked someone what was
going on..they said that the BSBs had left, and that they were coming back!
So we waited there for a little while, and the were on 2 busses. The first
one got back first, and that had AJ, Howie, and the dancers on it. So we
waited a little longer, and there was a van and Brian and Leighanne got off,
this time there were no dancers, but I think Nick was there but he had a blow
up football helmet on LoL!
OK so we walked around a little longer, and we
saw a guy w/ an ALL ACCESS pass, and he told us to follow him! So we
did....he wanted to get some people passes to get into the arena and set
up...but we got pushed by a bunch of other people, so he ran out in with the
person in front of me!!!!! I was crying! w/ the pass, you got a VIP
invitation to the aftershow party! So we were looking for a door to get in
and the lines were sooooooooo long! So being the individual I am, I started
my own line, so I was first in the arena. And then I met some, friends, 3
seniors from Buffalo, and Al, he sells merchandise (HEY AL REMEMBER US) OK
well after that I finally got down to our seats which were in FLR-6, row-M,
seats 9 and 10. The show still wasn't going to start for a litlte while,
but better early than late! So FINALLY about an hour later, Raquell came
out, all I have to say is I REALLY wish that it was Mandy Moore! OK so
anywayz.....about 45 mins after that, BSB came out, and the croud screamed!
Everyone was soooooo loud! They did a few songs and went down to change.
The kept going down to change and coming back to sing! It was great. The
concert was actually a lot like the one in the fall, everything was the same,
except the last costumes, which I really liked. They looked like they came
from AE or AF. They were really cool! So once they came out w/ the pink
suits, I HAD to go get a some good pics of them, so we went up a little
closer, and we ended up in the FRONT ROW! I got a beanie baby after the
show that AJ was playn with! When they were introducing the band, nick and
Brian were playing b-ball, it was really funny! To sum it all it was the
best night of my life YAY! (Today wasn't the best morning though!)

I just want to say that I am nearly 19 years old and I have been a fan of
the Backstreet Boys for years and I finally last night got to see them, on
Valentine's Day no less. It was a great experience and I am glad that I
made the trip home from school to see my boys perform. Nick did the same
haircut routine that he did at the first shows of the tour by asking if we
noticed anything different. Then AJ asked all of us to be his valentine,
awwwwww. Each of the boys asked us for coming and wished us a happy
valentine's day. The music was excellent. I personally enjoyed listening
to the ballads more, but the dancing was great. Nick especially seems to
have improved his dancing skills. He moves his body a lot more than he
used to :) His new haircut I also must add is amazing. He looks gorgeous.
He is my favorite, can you tell? So, you can imagine how delighted I was
when Nick flew right over my head during Quit Playing Games. I had a 20%
chance of having him fly over me and I was lucky enough to get my wish.
All in all it was a great night. I am sooo glad that I finally got to see
them. It was nice to finally experience Brian's goofiness, AJ's flirting,
Nick's well everything, Kevin's style, and Howie's Latin flair in person
rather than watching it on TV. I wish I could have stayed in town for the
second show tonight, but it was a concert I will never forget. The guys
really proved their talent last night and yet seemed like ordinary guys at
the same time as they interacted with us and each other on stage. Thanks
guys for such a wonderful show!!

From Jamie's Backstreet World
My sister and I had quite luck that we got to go see the boys this time.
We found out on February 6th, 2000 that we were going on the 12th to
their concert! We were auctioning for tickets at eBay.com and we won
them on Sunday nite. We ended up paying a lot more than we probably
should have but our seats weren't that bad!! We were about 20 rows up on
the side section.. Perfect view and very close to the stage. Well we
didn't get our tickets until Friday which had me quite nervous
considering the guy received my money on Tuesday.
We left my house around 11am on Saturday morning. It took about 2 hrs to
get up there at State College. As soon as we got there, we checked in at
our hotel, The Rodeway Inn, and we ordered a pizza to our room. We
chilled in our room til around 4pm. Then we decided to head out and try
and find the Bryce Jordan Center considering neither one of us knew
where it was at! We started driving down the road.. not even about 2
blocks from our hotel was the Atherton Hotel.. and it had 2 tour buses
out front!!!! Of course we were like oh my gosh and we went to park in a
lot but missed the red light.. then another tour bus is turning to park
behind the other one.. and the bus almost hit our car.. my sister and I
closed our eyes we were that close. So the light finally turned green
and we parked in a lot across the street. We walked over.. and we're
standing outside among about 60 other fans. Fans clogged the doorways..
all outside the buses and everywhere!!! We stood outside in the bitter
cold for awhile as the bell boys were bringing out their luggage..
putting it in the buses.. I was gonna jump in but decided my sister
might not appreciate that hehe.. So we decided to just go find the Bryce
Jordan Center before it got too dark.
We got to BJC around 5:20 pm and it was sooo crowded already.. The doors
didn't open til 6pm so we decided to walk around. We walked to the back
lower parking lot where all these trucks and buses were...and low and
behold it.. Just as we reached the lot down there, the tour buses
started coming down the hill. We were standing behind the police line
(the lady kept yelling at us) and the buses pulled up about 45-50 feet
in front of us. The first bus pulled into the building and the only
thing u could see were feet jumping out.. Those feet belonged to the
guys. Of course everyone else was standing in line except for my sister
and about 10 other fans down on this lot. Then that bus backed out and
the other bus dropped off the dancers. So we're still standing down
there just in case they'd come over, but no such luck. Michelle and I
waited til everyone cleared out and then I called one of the security
guards over and I asked if there was any way that I could get my bag to
Nick. She said she could get it to Nick for me because I said there was
stuff in there for the guys for Valentine's Day. So she opened the gate,
took my bag and she walked over and put it on their Tour Bus!!!!
Around 7:30 pm, the opening act came out. Her name was Raquelle and she
wasn't bad at all. Finally around 8:30ish-9 pm the Backstreet Boys came
out. They came out of an explosion and were flying on surf boards to
Star Wars music. The first thing I did was look for Nick. He has his
hair cut EXACTLY like Aaron now. Its short, spikey and messy and very
sexy. They landed on the stage, walked around and posed for every side
of the stage (Because the stage was set up in the center of the arena)
and my pics turned out great! They sang every song from Millennium, all
their singles from their debut US album, "Get Down", and "That's the Way
I Like It"!! The concert kicked. I cried during "All I Have To Give" and
during "Don't Wanna Lose You Now".. those are my favorite songs. Their
dancers are so awesome! A few times.. since as some of you know, the
stage sinks down and rotates and stuff.. A few times the stage sunk down
so they could hop out and change.. well the stage didn't go back up a
few times and at one point, my sister and I saw Nick and Howie shirtless
changing their clothes!! Nice view!! Most of the time we were on Howie
and AJ's side of the stage. When the boys were suspended throwing roses
and teddy bears at one point in the show, Howie was 15 feet if that from
our faces. He was trying to throw me and my sister a rose and the girl
behind me caught it. He tried again and the girl in front got it, so he
just blew us a kiss, pointed to us and smiled. I was like dying he
seemed so sweet. During "Don't Want You Back", the guys climbed these
fences and it was pretty phat as well. Oh and, Mindi, the saxophone
player from their band, I believe she is pregnant!!! She looked so cute
up there!! She's really pretty! She had her hair in pig tails and was
wearing the coolest white outfit that I can't even begin to describe,
but it was phat!
During the "Perfect Fan", they brought up mothers and daughters and the
girls looked soooooooo nervous. The girl w/ Nick kept losing it I felt
so bad for her!! He kept like hugging her and walking back to her!! It
was so awesome of him.
At the very end of the evening, the guys came out to sing their last
tune, "I Want It That Way", and they were dressed in Penn State Jersies
that had their last names on the back and all their shirts said "00".
They all looked so sexy. They sang the song and it was so powerful. The
concert was definitely by far the best concert experience that I've
encountered out of all 4 that I've ever been too. It was so great!!
Thanks guys for making me have the best nite of my life!!!!
I was also talking to a few girls that had been their on Friday nite and
they said Friday nite the guys didn't have the Penn State Jersies-said
to have been a gift to the guys! *as you may know Brian is a Penn State
fan!!* It turns out the guys stayed at the Nittany Hotel (the NICEST
hotel up at State College!!) and the Atherton. They were up at State
College from February 8th (a Tuesday) thru February 13th (Sunday)
practicing. The guys were spotted all over town from Kevin at Mellon
Bank, Nick and Howie at a store selling Penn State gear, the guys eating
McDonald's and Arby's.. they were all about town and walking freely!!!
Also, my friend Justin went on both nites, and he said on Friday nite
after the show, the guys weren't tired so they asked the guards to open
one of the auxilery gyms and they played some games of Basketball until
the wee hours of the morning!!! Some fans got to watch too!! I think
that is so phat!!!! I wish I would have gone on Friday nite too!! They
seem so awesome and I wish I could have met them!! Well all in all, we
had a blast and by far we will be visiting them their next stops in
Pennsylvania anyday!

I wrote a review for my Backstreet experience from
when they came to the MCI Center in WAshington, Dc -
But nothing can compare to this past weekend, at the
Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State, my fourth BSB
concert. I finally made contact, of some sort.
When myself and my two friends, Michelle Williams and
Dana Brown, first arrived in State College, PA, around
5:30 on Friday, Feb. 11, we walked into our slightly
used motel, the Imperial Motor Inn, where we were
stationed right across the street from the overly
elaborate Atherton Hotel. As we got out of the car
after our 4 hour drive from my home town in MD, we
could see that we weren't the only BSB fans that had
made similiar reservations - though we were over 21
and without parents. As we walked into the office to
get our keys the woman at the desk simply stated,
"Don't tell me you are here to see the BAckstreet Boys
too!" We couldn't deny it. After all of the
traveling we had just done, we were more than proud to
admit that our admiration for the boys had caused us
to make the long trip. She then informed us that they
were staying right across the street. I couldn't
believe it! I was so excited. Unlike before, we
wouldn't have to spend time trying to track them down.
Finally fate had given us our chance.
Well, as we proceeded to get ready to follow our next
tip - that the boys would be at an over 21 club that
night, we were unpacking and Michelle saw Brian cross
the street to the Arby's that was right next door to
us. I couldn't believe it. I saw him from the window
and when I opened the door - Brian, and they two guys
he was with (we are not sure the were Backstreet boys
with him or not) had bolted across the street. That
was to be the only glimpse of Brian I would get for
the weekend, excluding the concert, but there were
better times in store for us that night.
We did some looking around to try to get our barings
in this town we had never seen before. We decided
that since the guys were staying right across the
street that we should make a sign for them to see.
When we were coming out of the shopping center I spot
a tour bus. I decide to follow the bus. Why not, we
had done it before. They head towards the BJ Center
and I follow as close as possible. They try to lose
me by going in and out of narrow areas, but I stay
close, but when I realize how close to their
performance time it was, I let the bus go. Even
though it wasn't OUR concert night, I knew that other
fans may get figity if I was the cause of the delay.
Give up my chance to see the BSB, meet them in
person... There would always be another chance.
Then, after that we decided to head back to the hotel
- but not before I handed one of my DEMO tapes to the
guard at the gate with the buses. He wasn't sure that
he would be able to see them, but he said he would try
to get my tape to someone. He wished me luck and we
returned to our hotel.
As we prepare for our late night venture to the club
scene, I think I see people get out of a van at Arby's
and I see fans run to them. Beliving in my woman's
intuition that I would see the boys that night, I
instruct my friends to run over and check it out.
When we get there we don't see anyone important. I
turn around and spot a tour bus pulling up in front of
the Atherton Hotel. We rush across the street on my
friend Michelle's impulse that AJ is aboard. When we
reach the bus, we are commanded to step back. Being
of a stubborn mind, I move no more than an inch and
await the arrival of whomever is on the bus. First in
line and next to the door I see band member after band
member exit the bus. I hear some fans near the rear
yell out "AJ" but I can't believe that my favorite BSB
could be on "this" particular bus. But as I look up
and focus my gaze, I see Alexander James McLean start
his decent. I tell my friends he is on and I turn
back around to face him. He attempts to ignore the
rambling, screaming fans surronding him. And right
before he walks past, I stop him. I say "hey!" He
looks at me, straight in the eyes, with a questionable
look on his face. I slowly pull my demo tape out of
my pocket and hand it to him. He looks at my picture
on the cover and reads the writing below "Aisha
Johnson's Demo Tape Song #1." He looks up at me,
smiles and winks and says "Thanks!" He takes the
tape. I am estatic. I don't show it in his presence
though.
I couldn't beleive that I had actually given AJ Mclean
my demo tape. I would greatly cherish his opinions
and I hope that he gets back to me.
We go back across the street to find out from a
reliable source that the boys would be at the Player's
Nite Club later that night, 21 and up. So we get
ready and head over. I had a feeling we should check
out the bar at their hotel, but my friends are ready
to get the club. We enter at about 11:30 and the
crowd is receptive. At about 12:30 I see the BSB
dancers strut in and in a closed off section of the
club sits four dancers and Howie Dorough. He didn't
acknowledge or speak to any of the fans. It was his
personal time, yet no one seemed to care about that.
Myself, I kept dancing, hoping to get another glimpse
of AJ.
We left that night with visions of Howie on the dance
floor and an absent feeling from the lack of
appearance from the other 4, though you couldn't blame
them. After ther crazy reception Howie received, I
would hope they would think twice about ALL showing up
at one time.
I returned to my room with happy and hopeful thoughts.
We had stopped by the bar, yet none of the BSB were
there. Though some of their male dancers were. I
could only hope that the next day would bring just as
good luck. I fall asleep with the clear memory of
AJ's smile, focused on me, that will stay with me for
an eternity.
Saturday came and went with a flash. My friends and I
attempted to get a glimpse of them before they left
for the concert, but apparently someone had published
in the local newspaper that the boys would be staying
at the Atherton - so there was a massive crowd. And I
kept checking around back because I had a sneaking
suspision that they would try to trick the crowd, and
sure enough - they went out through the back - with
the help of some of the hotel staff and area police
department. Unfortunately for us, I chose to ignore
my intuition this time around.
The concert, as usual, was awesome and a blast - which
everyone knew to be inevitable. The set up was very
similiar to the concert from the last leg of the tour,
though outfits had changed a bit. The guys sounded
great and I remembered seeing Howie at the club and
AJ's smile the night before and the thought that he
may listen to my demo later that night on their way to
Albany continued to spin in my mind.
After the concert, we waited on an off street with a
few other BSB lovers to follow the bus. About an hour
after the show a bus exits. I get the car ready and
we are off. The first bus we follow is the band's. I
am sure AJ is on it and we can see their female band
member Mindy, but no one responds to our honks and
attempt. Then another passes which we are sure the
others are one, but we don't even get a glimpse of its
occupants.
As I slowed down the car, I watch the bus pull away.
I can't believe that it, this weekend, this adventure,
is all over. I can't believe that this is it, or is
it? After four BSB concerts, I continue to get closer
and closer. Though the boys management, the Firm, and
Public relations office, MSO, continue to deny me
press access, I will obtain my goal someday. And who
knows, if AJ likes what he hears on my demo maybe he
will get in touch with me. I could be opening for BSB
yet.
Everything is a hopeful dream, but as proven by this
weekend - dreams do come true. AJ has my demo tape,
doesn't he?!?

My name is Maddie Smith. I'm from Windber, PA. I'd like to tell you
about the best day of my life, the day I went to go see my favorite 5 guys in
the world, the BACKSTREET BOYS. It was 2:00pm and my dad and I went to pick
up my friends, Steph, Kerry, Kerry's sister Jen, and her daughter Laiken. We
met up with the rest of our "crew" at my dad's friend's shop. We left from
there around 2:30 or so. Now we had a Suburban full of 4 screaming girls,
Marisa, Jess, Steph and myself and two very unexcited, unanxious fathers,
Marisa's dad and mine. Kerry, her sister and her neice took they're truck and
followed us there. We all knew this would be the best day ever!! All the way
there we listened to my Backstreet Boys CDs. We all sang along really
anxiously and couldn't wait to hear these songs live. Jess and I were the
most hyper-active!! We were soo hyper and stuff it wasn't funny!! Around 3:30
we stopped at Denny's and we hardly could eat because of how excited we were.
Almost all of the other people were starring at us because we had the largest
table (we had ONLY 9 people) and for the fact that we came in laughing and
singing to BSB songs. I'd have to say I was the most hyper person out of all
of us. After we were done eating it seemed like it only took us like 10 more
minutes to get there....but we didn't get there till 5:30.
When we seen the signes "Bryce Jordan Center 1 mile" or something we all
started to really get hyped!! I was like shaking sooo bad!! This was the very
first Backstreet Boys concert that I'd been to and I just didn't know what to
expect of them. I mean everytime I hear them on the radio or see them on TV I
scream really loud and like almost make my parents deaf. I was jumping up and
down the whole walk to the place. I was singing BSB songs the whole way. My
friends were singing along with me and then they seen all the people looking
at us and then they stopped. When we arrived on the big platform thing Jess
and I (the 2 with the biggest mouths) sang really loudly to "I Want It That
Way", "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)","As Long As You Love Me" and that's
only a few. I was the one who had everything and took me 3 hours to get ready.
It's now 6:00 and the doors were opening."Thank, God" says some of the
people around me. I was like tell me about it!! It took forever just to get
in with all of the people pushing and shoving and everything!! When we got in
all 5 of us automaticly put our stubs in our pockets to keep them safe. Then
we tryed to look around for our section..224, Concourse Level, Row A. When we
did find it we automaticly put our stuff down under our seats and dashed for
the nearest shop place. When we found one Jess, Marisa and I bought the same
shirt. Then we all bought a program. It was really cool!! We then went to the
bathroom to do our thing and then put our new shirts on. I love my new shirt.
Then I decided that I wanted to get buttons. I bought them and then went to
get some water to drink. Then went back to our seats. We waited in our seats
like forever!! Well, that's what it seemed to be. We also had to go to the
bathroom again and got glowing sticks. They are soo cool!! While everyone was
waiting we all did the wave. It was a time-passer!!
The opening act was a 3 person group (2 guys and a girl) named Rockell.
(I have no clue how it's spelled) The girl, Rockell was pretty and she had a
good voice. The two guys were good dancers!! They were pretty cute too!! The
whole crowd really respected them. And I respected that!! That was cool!!
They only had 2 songs but they were pretty up-tempo songs that make ya wanna
get up and dance!!We then had a half an hour intermission where I had checked
to see how much I was shaking and I was shaking pretty bad!! I mean I
couldn't wait!!
Finally the intermission was over and we had seen the band members
walking up to the stage to the "Star Wars" theme. Then we seen the 10
dancers. Then like a couple minutes later we seen a HUGE cloud of smoke and
out came the BACKSTREET BOYS!!!!! They were flying on surfboards!! It was the
greatest!!! I was totally excited. I was screaming sooooo loud!! Then when
they started to sing I was taking pictures non-stop!! I couldn't help it!!
Then when they sang the next songs I was still freaking out!! I mean it was
totally the phattest!! Then Kevin was flying right in front of us!! He was
like 2 feet away from me!! It was like the greatest!! You could tell he
really enjoyed our crowed!! Then they sang more songs...I took more pictures
and had a good ol' time!! Then when they sang my favorite song, "I'll Never
Break Your Heart" I was looking at BSB and only BSB. I was crying too. I was
like this is my song and I totally love it and they're singing it to
me...well that was what I was saying to myself. Then Jess had poked me and
said, "Maddie" I looked at her and she was like aww your crying. I was like
practicly bursting with tears!!! I mean I usully don't cry this easily but I
did then!! When that song was over I got all adjusted and back together. Then
Kevin was playing his piano for "Back To Your Heart", Steph loves that song!!
I screamed "GO, KEV!!!" when it got all silent!! It was funny!! When they
sang "It's Gotta Be You" I freaked out!! That song was done very well!!!! I
thought so anyway!! It was sooo cool!! They introduced all the dancers and
the band members like in the middle of the song. One of the dancers had a
"Princess" shirt that is just like Jess's!! I thought that was cool!! Then
when AJ announced Minda Abair I looked at her hair with my binoculars and
noticed that our hair was done the same way!! I was like oh my gosh that's
cool!! Then when we had to do the "oo ooo" part towards the end of the song
me n Jess were saying it really loud!! It was fun!! When they sang "I Want It
That Way" all 5 of them came out in they're own Penn State jerseys!! All of
them were number 00 but they had they're last names on the back. I thought
that was really really cool!! I liked how BSB was wearing blue and
white....just like our school's colors....ya know?? I thought that was really
cool!! I figured that they wanted to do something different!!
When the show was over I tried to go down close to the stage and try to
give a hat to AJ, which I had bought for him. I couldn't...that made me, and
still does make me mad!! Oh well I guess I'll just have to give it to him
another time!! I found a piece of confetti that had fell on the floor, I
picked it up, as a soveneir. I thought it was cool!! Then I went up and met
up with the rest of my friends. When we went outside I had NO coat on or
anything!! I was just wearing a t-shirt and my JNCOs. I wasn't cold. I was
outside screaming out BSB songs and just acting really really unusual!! My
friends thought I was high or something!! When we left the whole place all 4
of us girls were sleeping. We were sooo tired. But we all had sooo much fun.
It was 1:00am when I got into the door of my house. I went upstairs got
situated for bed and found my confetti. I put it in a safe place...so I would
know where to find it in the morning. I have a little photo album now with my
stub, sugar, and that piece in it. I'll always remember that night. That was
and always will be one of the best nights of my whole life. And AJ, if you're
out there, please email me and I can try to find a way to send you you're
hat. Thank you!! Have a nice day and see ya!!!

Hi everyone I went to the concert on 2/12/99 in PA! I am a huge music
fan and have been to many shows and I have to say this was the best one
I have ever seen! Not only was the show entertaining, moving, and
excited these boys have major talent! They sang beautifully and danced
amazingly and they are so friendly and personal you feel so close and
involved in everything. Everyone already knows the songs they sing, and
most of the costumes are the same except tha end one I think! The guys
all looked refreshed, healthy and happy but Nick had a bruise on his
face and his eye was swollen you could tell when they went up close on
him. Does anyone know how he got that! I think we all can figure out
what happened but until he makes a statment what goes on between him and
his girlfriend is there business I just hope he's okay! Everyone looked
hot and Nicks n ew hair cut looks pretty dang good! PeaceAmy

Hey! Hey! Hey everyone! Saturday, February 12, 2000 was and probably will be
the greatest day of my entire life!
I (along with 6 of my friends) went to see the Backstreet Boys at the Bryce
Jordan Center in State College, PA. It was the first BSB concert I've ever
been to and it was absolutely AMAZING! The opening act in my opinion wasn't
that great but oh well. We had to wait about a half hour before the guys
came out. They were supposed to come out at 8:15 PM but didn't come out
until around 8:45 PM. My one friend asked the usher what the hold up was and
he said that MTV was backstage interviewing them.
Anyways, so the lights dim and smoke fills the air...screams come from every
direction and you see Kevin, Brian, AJ, Howie & Nick hovering above this
black box on boogie boards and being lowered to the stage. The camera moves
to Kevin's face and he does his "eyebrow thing" and everyone goes nuts. I
thought I was gonna die. He's so damn hot!!
All of their costumes were awesome. I didn't mind seeing them all decked out
in suits (even though they were pink). They looked mighty damn fine!
When Kevin was lifted up on the platform with the baby grand piano it kinda
got quiet so I decided now was my chance. I screamed "KEVIN" at the top of
my lungs. I'm sure he heard me :) I think that's when I lost my voice. Oh
well, it was WELL worth it!
During one song (not sure exactly what song that was) a girl in the audience
held up a sign that read "TAKE YOUR PANTS OFF!" and Brian saw it. He was
like "ME!?!?!?" He gave one of his goofy looks, smiled and blushed a little.
Howie had to tease him a bit about it but not for everyone else to hear. It
was funny.
We had awesome seats, about 10 to 15 feet from the stage. I had my eye on
Kevin most of the night. There are only bits and pieces that I can remember
and one is when Kevin did his "ladder dance". He was right in front of
us...damn I'd have loved to have been that ladder!
Nick was hoisted above our heads during "Quit Playing Games With My Heart".
I was kinda disappointed because of course I wanted none other than Kevin to
be above me. Kevin was off to my left so I pretty much watched what he was
doing. Black leather really does a body good!
Remember reading about Kevin's pants falling off during "The Perfect Fan" in
NC last year? Well, I was doing some major praying when he was up there on
stage with his mother/daughter couple because he was right in front of us!
Man what a nice ass shot we would've gotten if that would've happened...none
the less...his booty did some major shakin' the whole night long :)
When they came back out to do "I Want It That Way" they were all sporting
PSU jerseys and they looked yummy. I think Kevin, Brian and Howie were the
most proud of theirs. I couldn't really see what Nick and AJ were doing.
My advice to future BSB concert goers is this: make sure you take time out
to realize what's going on. Sit back and let it all sink in. I will never
forget this night as long as I live.
The only thing that would've made the night better would've been meeting
them. Hopfully I'll be able to go to many more Backstreet Boys concerts and
get seats like I had Saturday.
(I can't wait to get my pictures developed. I took 4 rolls of pictures.)
If you've got any questions just ask. I'll do my best to answer them for ya.
Until next time...KTBSPA!!!

We got to the venue at about 6:30 and the line was moving constantly to get
in, which was good, cause it was so cold outside anyway.
Well, we got in the place and there were soooo many people, that I had to
hold on to my cousin so I wouldn't get separated, which did happen, but I
caught up to her. We found where we had to go in and started walking towards
the portal and kept walking and walking and walking, until we were at the
floor. Well, this kid stops us and looks at our tickets to see that we were
where we were supposed to be and after he was done, we started walking away
and he yells at us. He says, "Wait, I have to take you to your seat." And
were we like, "oh, ok". We went on to explain that they had to do that
because they had to make sure people were in their correct seats. So we get
to our seats, which were the last 4 in the second row, right where Nick is
strapped into his flying cords. So I was extremely happy at this point and
the whole railing that guided him was right above me. So we start looking
around taking it all in and seeing that the stage is about 15 feet away from
us. We're still looking and then we see this lady with a picture of her and
Kevin around her neck. We asked her where she got that taken and she was
telling us that she went to the show in Washington DC and asked one of the
security for his pass and he actually gave it to her. So she got to go meet
the guys. Well, we waited for awhile and at about 7:30 the opening act comes
out and it was some girl named Rochelle...I didn't know her, but she started
singing some songs and they sounded familiar...couldn't tell you the names
though. So after two songs she leaves and next thing you know, it's 8:45 and
guess who comes walking into the stage area....You will never believe this.
But I saw her face and the glasses....although she had brown hair now, which
could have been a wig, it was MANDY. Now that just ruined my whole evening,
but she didn't stay in that area the whole time...she left and came back a
few times throughout the show.
Well, by now the lights had gone down and everyone was screaming...I was
just getting my camera ready. Here came the dancers holding these poles with
lights on them and then came the band. My aunt said hi to Mindy and Vanessa,
my aunt's friend touched Dennis and my aunt said hey to him when he came by
and he say hey back...lol. Next thing you know, smoke is coming out from
this box that is across the stage from us and a countdown
starts..10.9..8..and so on. Then this big huge rummble comes and the smoke
turns red and the Star Wars theme is played and out come the boys, heading
for the stage. After they got out of their harnesses, they started walking
around the stage and looking at all the people. They got to the side on our
left and Brian and Nick were the closest to us....OHMIGOD they were so
freakin close. It was funny watching them too because they were walking so
stiff and as they started to come our way onto the side where we were you
could see Nick and AJ counting to themselves for how many steps they were
supposed to take before the turned to look at the croud. It was so funny,
everyone else was screaming, but I was just standing there smiling at how
funny they looked. So they go around to all the posts and then the music
starts and they sing Larger than Life and then right after that they did Get
Down and went into the middle of the stage, the part that spins. Then they
did The One..going to each part of the stage. At this point the people in
front of us keep moving over away from us, so there is this clear line from
us to the stage..It was great. So this mom and daughter keep moving over
during The One and we can see them and everything. Howie and Brian weren't
really on our side at this time, so I was shooting pics of Nick, AJ and
Kevin. AJ was thrusting right in front of us and my cousin got a pic of him
in mid thrust. Let's just say it's her cherished possesion at this point. So
after The One, Nick stays out and does his little introduction to the people
and he stands right in front of me! I was in heaven. There was no one else
in front of me so he had to see me. And he stayed there for awile. He was
asking the crowd about his hair and if we liked it. As if we wouldn't. He
also wanted us to scream for him. He said something to Dennis about how he
thought that the second night could do better than the first in screaming.
Well, let's just say it got louder after that.
After him, AJ came out and
stood and talked in front of us telling us to scream as loud as we could for
the rest of the show, then Kevin, who was to our right, though he came in
the middle a little bit. Then Howie, who was over in the back of the stage,
which with the middle part and all the instruments in the middle, I couldnt'
see. Then it was Brian and after all that, they did As Long As You Love Me.
Well, during the chair dance, Howie was on our side. I hate myself for not
getting a pic of that, but I was too busy yelling "Go Howie." He was looking
and smiling though. So after that, the guys go down under the stage and
change while the dancers are doing a little dance to keep the flow going. It
was really good, but the one guy dropped the chair.
Well, the guys come back up in black leather and there is Nick....and his
little, let's call it his happy creature, in all his glorry. This is where
Mandy walks out again so I turn to Tiff and start shakin my head
yes..telling her it was her and I look back up and Nick was staring at me.
I'm like, "Sorry, didn't mean anything by it." ...lol. So they sing Don't
Want To Lose You Now and then that goes right into Quit Playing Games. In
the beginning, Nick and AJ were up dancing in the middle part of the stage.
Tiff got a pic of that..it was so cute. Well the time had come for them to
fly....this is where I was getting so freakin happy. They strapped Nick in
right dead in front of me....and all I did was watch and look. I saw his
eyes, they are so blue. I have a pic of him...I zoomed in and it's really
good, but if he was looking up, talk about the greatest picture that could
have happened. Well he flys over us and as he goes way behind me, I start
taking pics of Kevin hanging upside down and then I look over at AJ and he's
spilling water all over his crowd, Tiff got a really good pic of that. So I
see that AJ is starting to come back so I look over at my area and here
comes Nick. He comes back right in front of me and they drop him right
there. Aaaaaahhhh..talk about heaven. So I put my camera up to my eye and
he's looking right at the lens...I take the pic, he points at me (my aunt
later tells me that she saw him do it too) and starts going up the railing
again, but before he leaves he drops a rose. But, I didn't catch it because
he was moving and he dropped it a split second late so the chick behind me
gets it. I was about 6 inches away from having that rose. That sucker was
meant for me...that's all that matters to me at this point..lol. I got the
pic, but it's a little blurry since he was moving, but I love it anyway.
Well, he comes back and and they put him on the stage and take him out of
the harness and the one dancer gives this salute to him and gives one back
with this smirk on his face. After this song, the lights go down again and
Don't Want You Back comes on. I heard that music and I have to tell you I
was really happy. I wanted to see that pole and Nick meet...lol. Kevin was
in front of us, but I got to see Nick cause his was on my left side. Well, I
got pics of Kevin hanging upside down and my aunt and her friend were
holding up this sign that we made that said ,"GOOD LUCK AT THE GRAMMY'S"
upside down so he could read it...lol. I was looking over at Howie standing
on his pole and then I looked over at Nick who was dancing beside his and
then started climbing on it. So I got a pic of that and then he gets off and
I'm keeping my eyes on him. What he did next would get anybody going...lol.
He grabs his pants in the groin area and proceeds to rotate his body in a
cirlular motion. I'm telling you, I was a VERY happy woman at that point.
So, that song is over and you see the guys ripping these pads they had on
for the Don't Want You Back Song...you'll see them in the pics later. Then
the music starts for The Perfect Fan. The guys each take a girl and her mom
up on stage and walk them around. Nothing new to that...nothing really
happened except for Nick letting his girl sing a part of the song. So that
song is over and Kevin goes towards the piano that is coming down from up
above and starts playing a little solo with Mindy, their saxaphonist and
then the guys come back out and sit right in front of us and sing Back to
Your Heart.
At first when the guys were just sitting there, my aunt and her
friend had the sign up again, you could see Brian looking over and sqinting
his eyes to read it. And his eyes got really big and then he pointed to
himself and Linda, my aunt, and I were shaking our heads yeah and I started
freaking out and I looked over to my aunt and I saw this girl with this sign
behind us that read, "Take off your pants" so I automatically thought it was
about that sign. So that wore off. Then Nick taps AJ on the shoulder and AJ
looks over and gives the thumbs up so I give one back. Then later I was told
that some girl behind us had this sign, "AJ, I'M LEGAL!" so we thought that
he was pointing to that. But then I thought, why would be give her the
thumbs up..I mean, I would laugh at it. But then Tiff was like, maybe Nick
saw it and that's why he taped AJ and then instead of seeing the "I'm
LEGAL!" poster he saw ours and gave the thumbs up. Well, they sang the rest
of the song and went under for another change.
They came back up and were dressed in white and started off with Everybody.
Nick was right in front of me and he sang "Am I Sexual?" right there. And
then after that they went into We've Got it Going On and they were on the
other side for that so I didn't see it. So then they start in with That's
the Way I Lke it. They were on the other side for a little and then for
Brian's line they came over to our side. Nice nice nice. So they all lined
up on the corner that we were right in front of and AJ starts doing this
thing with his hands like he was saying "na na na na na na" it was
hilarious. Soon after that, he went over to the side of the stage on my left
and ripped his shirt off. He started to walk towards us so I was hoping he's
let it fly over where we were, but he turned around and threw it out to the
people over to our left.
After that was finished the guys went down and changed into the pink suits.
They came up on stools and sang Spanish Eyes...Howie was looking again. And
Brian was right there starring at us. He saw the sign. It was the coolest
thing. We see him starring over for the longest time and then out of nowhere
comes this "thank you" mouthed. It was so funny, Linda and I start
screaming. Then after that song, I'll Never Break Your Heart came on and
nothing happened during that, though, since I was taking pictures, I missed
the part that Kevin waved and said thank you also. But I have this picture
that looks like he's consentrating on the sign. So No One Else Comes Close
comes on and the middle starts to spin showing all the guys. After that was
over, the guys went underneath to get these coats that went with their
outfits and hats. They came back up and did All I Have to Give on the other
side of the stage and then came over to do the hat dance. When they all were
supposed to take their hats off, Nick didn't..it was funny. During this
whole thing, I start screaming "Go AJ!" and the people beside us on the side
hear us and start in. If they heard me, he had to hear me, but he didn't do
anything about it like last time when he smirked at the Philly concert I
went to. That's ok though...I got a pic of him with the hat anyway.
Well, the guys finished the song and go to the top of the stage and start
singing Show Me the Meaning after Howie gives a little intro to the song
talking about Dennis Pop.
They start singing and dancing with the girls and
Brian is crying. Right before Brian came down to dance with his girl, he
started wiping his eyes. I had a pic of Nick dancing, but the idiot guard
moved his head so now all I have it a pic of half his head and his hand. It
was clear when I looked at it. Well anyway, they finish the song and go back
up to the top and start thanking everyone for coming to the show. They go
under again and the lights go down and I notice people on the lower level
are leaving. I, up till this point was eyeing the empty space in front of us
in the front row, so I said watch out to my aunt and walked up a row. Tiff
followed me and we were in the freakin front row! I mean right there. So the
guys come back up...and this is where it starts getting good. It's Got to Be
You starts playing and the guys are everywhere. AJ comes over and stands 5
feet aways from me and opens his eyes big and wide, it was so cute. I wasn't
up against the fence, but I was close enough..lol. He then went over to the
side of the stage to my right and went down into the sound booth area and
was right there for the fans. Lucky people. So, next, Nick came over to us
and stands right there with this water bottle and asked if we wanted to see
the dancers battle. After that was over they started introducing their band
members and dancers. Kevin went first and I took a pic, but it came out
blurry. Nick was over on the side just sitting drinking water, one leg
loungin' on the part that lifts the middle part of the stage. After Kevin
was Nick but when he introduced Dennis he went over to the keyboards and
said, "I've started taking up the keys. Do you want to hear something?" so
everyone screams and he starts banging on the keys, not really making
anything but a loud noise..it was funny.
At this point Brian and AJ are at
the top of the stage holding their ears. Plus, the tow were up there
dancing, snapping their fingers and moving their heads at the same time.
That was pretty funny. Then AJ introduced his side then Brian, then Nick is
just standing on the middle part that's lifted, all by himself and he's
facing away from me. So I take the camera and take this pic of his butt.
It's so funny the way it came out. All you see is Nick and his butt....it
makes me laugh everytime I see it. Well, then here comes Howie up with Nick
and he goes to do his little rap. I got a pic of that. So they sing the rest
of the song and then come up to the end of the stage to bow. All this
confetti is coming down and I'm flashing pics and they are right there and I
keep moving up to get closer. They went to all the sides and then came back
around and right at the corner where I was standing AJ and a dancer and Nick
were standing, getting ready to bow. They were right there! I got a really
good pic of Nick and AJ picking on the dancer. Well, this song ends and the
guys go down again and everyone starts leaving. My aunt and her friend move
up with us and bring the sign. Out comes the guys to do I Want it That Way
all dressed in Penn State jerseys. They all had the same number (00) and
their last names on the back. Brian decided to come over to my side finally
so I'm flashing pics of this guy until Nick's line "Don't want to hear you
say." So I put my camera over to his side cause he's over to my right and
right when he goes to say it, he holds the mic out for the people to sing
it. I was mad because I wanted a pic of him singing that...so I was like,
you idiot, and I put the camera back on Brian again...lol. But before all
that happened, while AJ and Kevin were singing, Brian and Nick were just
sitting on the stage on our side just relaxing. This next part is a little
blurry cause so much happened at this point, so I really don't remember
exactly when this happened.
I think that the guys were goofing off again and
the song wasn't really over, but AJ gets this water bottle and comes over to
the stairs that were about 10 feet to my right. He takes a swig of it and
then gets this look on his face and a smirk. I knew right then what he was
going to do. I got a pic of him right before he looked away and then quickly
put my hand over the lens. Next thing you know, water is in the air and
falling on me and Tiff and my aunt and her friend. We were like, "we have AJ
DNA on us"...lol. So he goes back and then Kevin comes up and I have a few
pics of him at the stairs. Then next thing you know, I see this bodyguard
bringing a guy around off the steps and I moved up against the fence and
held out my hand. Here comes Howie and I touched him! I had my hand run down
his fingers. Then Tiff who was two people down from me, grabs his wrist and
lets his hand slide through her's. Well, after that happened he went back up
on stage and they all went to the middle again and it started rising. They
were getting us to sing the song for them and as they were coming down after
the song was over, Howie and Nick were moving back and forth causing the
thing to shake. That was funny. It took awhile for the part of that stage to
go down so as everyone else was going down, AJ jumps off of it and runs off
the stage. He started putting his hand out for everyone, but this was on the
other side of the stage. I wanted for him to come over to our side so badly,
but he didn't. And just like that, it was over. The lights came back up and
everyone started leaving. I went back to get my coat and water spots were
everywhere from AJ...lol. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay and watch
them some more, but I couldn't. We later found out that they were in PA
since Wednesday staying in a hotel (The Atherton Hotel) down the street from
us, but unfortunately they left that day at 5:30. We found the club that
Howie went to the night before and the hotel that they stayed in. They were
taping this concert for a broadcast over the internet from Pay-Per-View. I'm
on it...I think. A camera man came around and I saw the camera and moved
into its view and waved. If that is for the guys to see...lol..I look like a
moron, cause my eyes got really big and I smiled really stupid and I was
waving so much. Total embarrassment. We *think* we saw Leighanne there, but
she walked by too quickly, so we couldn't get a good look.
Well, that's all that I can remember for now. Hope you can use this review
for your page. I'll try to get those pics to you if you want them.

I just saw the University state concert in P.A. and it was soooo good!!!
I went with my friend and it took us 4 hours to get their from Philly,
but it was really worth it!! The concert was awesome and their were a
few differences from the last millennium tour in it. my friend and i
were a foot away from AJ too!! what happend was we were trying to track
the boys down all day, we were next to their tour buses and everything
but still we never saw them!!! so when we got to the concert my friend
and i were down by the garage were the buses were just standing their
with all the other girls hopeing to get a glimpse of the boys. So after
an hour or so we gave up and decieded to head on back. so we crossed the
street and then we heard all the girls screaming so we turned around and
here one of the tour buses was driving right next to us!! then we see AJ
waving and smilin at us!! and he wasn't waving to the grass! we were the
only two standing there!!! and then their tour bus stoped! my friend and
i just stood the ir like zombies lookin at him, LOL! then finally we
started screamin, waving and all and i took 2 pics of him, then the bus
started driving again....so we chased it! hehe! i must say that was the
best BSB concert ever, and i'll never forget how AJ waved at me!! :-)

I just had to add to all the great reviews the one thing that I loved
best about the second Penn State Concert on Saturday night. The Penn
State Football Jersey's for I Want It That Way! I didn't even go to that
school and I loved it. They all looked so cute! Kevin and Brian looked
like natural football players! It was like a fantasy come true. Then
Howie threw his out into the section right next to mine as they were
leaving from under the stage. If it had been Brian's I would have had to
gone in after it!
The rest of the show was awesome of course! My second one for this tour
and it flew by! Before I knew it I was trying to figure out how many
songs were left, and it was only three! I had fifth row seats so I hope
my pictures turn out! I was nervous about taking them even though no one
ever checked for cameras, but I didn't want to piss the guys off. But
they joked with everyone whenever they saw a camera, Brian held up a
make believe camera a couple times.
Other highlights, I had Nick in front of me for Don't Want You Back and
he was incredibly hot and sexy doing a kinda grinding move with his
ladder. AJ for my favorite song As Long as You Love Me, he is such a
great dancer and I am glad his hair was all one color, Kevin flew over
us for Quit Playing Games with my Heart, a girl two over from me got a
stuffed toy he threw! And last but not least, Brian was right there for
The Perfect Fan! It was an incredible night! I went by myself and I
would do it again in a heart beat!!

Hi, everyone it's me again. I told you all I was excited about going to
the second show and wow. Those five guys amaze me all the time. I had
fourth row seats again next to the section I was in Fri. night. I was
right in front of the point on the back right side of the stage where
A.J. flies from. This tour is the best yet. The guys really seemed
pumped up. A.J. and Nick were being so funny during "Quit Playin'
Games." They were making up their own dance doing something totally
different from the other three guys. I could see the smilies on their
faces as the crowd screamed for them. They are all soo adorable. One
thing they did in this show that they didn' t do on the fall tour was
during "I'll Never Break Your Heart" the band stop playing while they
sung the chorus acapella. It was beautiful. If anyone reading this is
going to one of the shows, just take a minute during one of the songs
and just listen to their harmonies and it will blow you away. The one
thing they did a little different Sat. night from Fri. night was that
when they came out for "I Want It That Way" they came out wearing Penn
State football jerseys with their names on the back. They were so proud
of their shirts. They kept turning their backs towards us to show us
the backs of their shirts.
Brian was acting like he was playing
football up on the stage. He bent down like and quarterback would and
when he stood up he acted like he got knocked down by someone and then
he had this huge smile on his face. It was the cutest thing. And what
I thought was so neat that they didn't do on the fall tour was after
they sang "I Want It That Way" they all were down on the stage
interacting with the crowd kinda acting like they didn't want to leave.
When they finally did go back on the center of the stage where it raises
up, they took their final bow and as the center was lowering them, they
all turned inward toward each other like a huddle and sang"Don't wanna,
Don't wanna hear you. Don't wanna, Don't wanna hear you." It was
really nea t. I will never forget these two nights as long as I live.

This is the first BSB concert that I have attended and it was amazing! I
ACTUALLY INTERACTED WITH TOMMY AND BRIAN! First things first though. We
arrived at Penn State at 5:00 on Saturday and the first thing that we did
was go to our hotel. When we arrived at the Ramada Inn on Atherton we did
not like the looks of it so we rode up the street. All of a sudden I see
this commotion with two big black buses and tons of people out in the front
of the Atherton Hotel (it's one of the classier hotels at Penn State). So
anyway, my mom was driving and we past it so I screamed turn around. By this
time, we were already about two blocks away from the hotel. The buses and
the lights created some what of a traffic jam so my sister and I jump out of
the car with the cell phone and race down two blocks meanwhile people in
their cars were looking strangely at us and some smart alec guy mockingly
yells out the car window they're there they're there. So anyway we made it
to the hotel and the place was packed with people and cops. Everyone was
standing around the door of the hotel.
No one was allowed in because at this
hotel the doors open up to three elevators each manned with a hotel worker
and the lobby is accessed by the elevators on the first floor. So anyway we
stood out there because the buses were in the front. Some people were around
back by the delivery bay of the hotel. I walked all around the hotel looking
for vans but there wasn't one in site. So after going back to the front I
found out that they taped off the area with police tape so I was sure that
they were going to come out because one of the buses was still there. So we
are all waiting then a group of people break through the tape. Evidently, AJ
and Nick were going to come out of the front, while Kevin and Brian and
Howie went out the delivery bay in the back, but when Nick saw that they
broke the police tape he was too nervous to come out. So they all left out
the back of the hotel. Everyone said that they all ran into a black
suburban except for Howie who signed a few autographs. So a word to the
wise, IF YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE STAYING, GO STAKE OUT THE DELIVERY BAYS AND
NOT ONLY LOOK FOR VANS BUT BIG SUBURBANS!!!
By now it was about 5:30 and
everyone cleared out very quickly. Of course I called for my mom to come
back to pick my sister and I up so we waited outside the hotel doors. All
of a sudden this boy comes out from the hotel and stands next to us after I
said hi to him. He was standing inside the yellow police tape, in front of
the bus's door, and kept going in and out of the hotel before the guys had
left the hotel. While he was standing in front of the bus door when we were
hoping that they would come out he was telling us that he was the son of on
of the bus drivers and that is why I wanted to talk to him after the whole
mayhem ended. He said that they all arrived on Wednesday in a black jet at
the airport at Penn State and his father and two other guys drove up the
three black buses up from Florida. He said that he saw Howie eating a lot at
Arby's across the street, met AJ early one morning when he was coming in
from a party, and Kevin in his hotel room. He told us their room numbers and
that they each stayed in their own King Suite. By the way after he came out
of the hotel he waited with us because his father was supposed to send a
ride for him. He was saying how much they bumped up security for this leg
of the tour. Then he started saying how they even have this guys who walks
around in plain cloths with a dog around their hotel so that he can see
where all of the fans are and if there are any potential threats.
All of a
sudden I realized that I saw a guy walking a dog with a blue leash and that
the dog had curly hair. So I said to him does the dog have curly hair and
he said yes then he said that he has a blue leash so I figured that he was
probably telling the truth. Then I asked him where they like to go during
their breaks and he said Arizona and Washington. He confirmed my suspicions
that Nick is goofy (I'm not trying be cruel he still looks great and has a
great voice). He said that Brian and Leighnne aren't engaged. We talked
about some other stuff then I had to go because my mom came.
NOW FOR THE CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were only a few
differences between the last leg of the concert and this leg. First of all,
Nick cut his hair as you probably all know and it looks wonderful!!!!!! AJ
also looked normal and his hair was kind of spiky but it was black. He was
also much calmer during the concert. The rest of the guys looked the same
and really clean cut. They sang the same songs and wore the same costumes
except for the pajamas that they used to wear. Now they wear Abercrombie
and Fitch outfits! The NEWEST part of our concert though, was that they did
one last costume change before "I Want It That Way". They went under the
stage and put on Penn State Jerseys that had their names on the back!!!
Because this arena is smaller the other difference was that they all came
out of the same black box which was amazing because all five were right
above my head and only a few feet above me!!! We had 8th row floor seats
in section S1 and we had the two seats next to the aisle so we were able to
stand partially in the aisle during the concert. This was the section on
the opposite side of the flat side of the stage.
Anyway I came armed with
two signs. One sign said TOMMY, WE (with a BIG HEART UNDERNEATH with
WWW.BSBBAND.COM written inside). Tommy was facing us throughout the concert
so I held it up once during "Larger than Life" and guess what HE LOOKED
RIGHT AT IT POINTED AND WAVED!!! Then I held it up two more times and HE
SMILED AND POINTED AT ME!!! Then I figured he saw my sign enough so now it
was time to hold up my sign for the guys. In the beginning Brian was
primarily on our side! This sign said GL! (good luck) & WOW US AT THE
GRAMMYS (because they are up for 4 awards and are going to perform). So
anyway I kept holding up the sign. I don't think he really looked at it
until he stopped on the stage so that they could attach him once again to
his harness. Then he flew over us once then stopped over the stage facing
me. HE WAS LOOKING RIGHT AT ME READING THE SIGN, I COULD TELL. Then he
gave me this confused funny Brian face (you know what I'm talking about).
So he's still looking right at me, and I'm mouthing GOOD LUCK!!! GOOD
LUCK!!! Then after that someone threw a teddy bear at him and he caught it.
Then he sailed toward me and threw it down at me. Of course I had to leap
for it because everyone wanted it. So I got it and it was this little white
bear holding and a red I love you heart. I couldn't believe that we were
actually interacting!!! Unfortunately somewhere towards the end of the show,
after my sister and I kept trading off holding it we think my sister put it
down to reach for another camera and SOMEONE STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I
couldn't believe it!!! Oh well it was only a bear and the interaction that
I had with him while he was looking me straight in the eye and just that
fact that he threw it to me is what is important. I JUST WANT TO SAY TO THE
PERSON WHO TOOK IT THAT YOU CAN TAKE THE BEAR BUT YOU CANT TAKE THE
MEMORIES!!!!!
Then at the end when they all ran by I reached out to try to
touch them but they ran by too quickly but then the band members just walked
by because no one was really interested in them so I screamed Tommy we love
the web site at the top of my lungs as he walked by. He turned around and
looked but it was so noisy he couldn't tell who said it but at least he
heard me. Overall the concert was amazing, all of the guys sang and danced
great and rotated around the stage. AJ lifted up his shirt, felt himself a
few times, tore his shirt off and did some funny ballet moves on stage. He
was also flirting with this girl in the front row because he kept bending
down looking at her and singing to her. Then at the end he flung his water
bottle around getting her and the people in the next row wet. Brian was
just himself. He was smiling and made funny faces and really tried to
interact with people that had signs. He made faces and made hand motions
toward them. He ended up with a basketball by the end of the show and was
doing tricks with it. Howie was really sweet and energetic throughout the
whole show and during the dancers' dance off he played the drums behind the
drummer. Nick was just acting normal from what I could see from my side of
the stage.
My biggest disappointment though was that Kevin seemed to be
going through the motions but not really trying to interact with the crowd.
Maybe that's is just the way it looked from my side of the stage. I would
like to know if anyone feels the same way. He played the piano brilliantly,
and he looked so fine in all of the outfits, especially the ones where he
was wearing tank tops! The band was excellent!!!! Tommy and Mindi were
amazing. Everything about the show was excellent! By the way, rumor has it
that Nick was seen at Penn State with a bruise on his face by his eye and
that he is back together with his ex. We can all put two and two together if
that's true. On the jumbo screen his right cheek bone area looked kind of
dark and puffy even through the heavy make-up. Did anyone else notice that?
I had such an amazing time and the concert really allowed me to meet so many
people from all over the country. It's amazing how these guys and their
music have brought so many people together!!!

Hi everybody,
First off, I will be posting pictures of both nights on my website, when
I get them back. I dropped them off today (Sunday), so whenever the AOL
You've Got Pictures thing is done, they will be put up. Go to http://members.xoom.com/rveghte.
Keep checking back if they're not there when you go, they
will definately be up. Please do not steal them. If you want to use them,
just give me credit for them.
I was lucky enough to get tickets for both shows at Penn State, and it was
awesome!!!!! I went with 3 of my friends and we drove up on Friday. We had
a sign up in our car that said "honk if you love bsb" but nobody honked, but
it was hick country on the way up, so whatever. Anyway, at the concert on
Friday, we had really great seats! My dad is the accountant for the
assistant manager at the Bryce Jordan Center and he gave us part of his
allotment. Thank you Al! We were in the section right above the floor in
the second row. We couldn't have been more than fifteen feet from the stage!
I had signs to hold up for AJ, but he never looked up at us, so I didn't
hold them up.
I'm not gonna bore you with boring details, since the concert was the
same as the last tour, but I'll tell you some of the highlights for me.
First of all, I had stuffed animals for all of them to throw up on stage. I
tried to throw this dog up for AJ with boxers, but it ended up hitting a
security guard. However, he gave it to an usher to take backstage. We
waited til the end of the concert to throw the rest of them up. During "It's
Gotta Be You" I threw up a little monkey for Brian, and he actually picked it
up and started dancing with it!! IF ANYONE HAS A PICTURE OF BRIAN DANCING
WITH MY MONKEY, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT Raquela690@aol.com!! My camera ran out of
batteries and I couldn't get a picture of it. I would be so grateful if
anyone could make me a copy or scan it for me! Nick's beany baby got up on
stage too and one of the dancers gave it to him. He threw it back into the
audience, but Brian kept his.
Another great part was when Kevin flew over top of us. He was so close,
I could almost touch him! He kept making all these fish movements and
spinning and doing flips! It was so awesome! Nick got his haircut! It
looks so much better now, but he's still a little pudgy. Howie looked pretty
much the same. AJ definitely looked hot!!!!!!! He said that there were so
many beautiful women at Penn State and maybe he would go to college there
next year. (yeah right) He definitely did a good job at the concert. My
favorite songs they did were Get Down, That's The Way I Like It, I Want It
That Way, It's Gotta Be You, Everybody, We've Got It Goin On, Larger Than
Life, and All I Have to Give. They really had a lot of energy. AJ bounced
an animal off the stage once with a pelvic thrust, it was so great! He also
ripped off his shirt.
On Saturday, I was up in the second level, but in the first row, so I had
a great view! I could see the whole stage, and more of them at once. The
highlight of my night then was when Brian was flying near our section, and he
looked up and waved right at us. I also bought another present for AJ and
gave it to an usher before the concert to give to him. When AJ asked how
many people were here the night before, I was one of the only people in the
place to scream, I felt so lucky! The concert was pretty much the same,
except at the end during I Want It That Way, they were all wearing Penn State
jerseys with their names on the back. It was so cute! They really looked
like they were having a great time up on stage. I think they liked
performing for a college crowd. These two nights were probably the best
experience of my life! I would definitely recommend going to one of these
concerts!
If anyone cares, I'll tell about my hotel experience. We went driving
around after the concert on Friday looking for their hotel. We went to the
Penn Stater and looked around and the Nittany Lion Inn (where they were
staying a few days before) and looked around, but we couldn't find them. So
we went back to our hotel room and my friend starts calling these hotels
asking for band members' names. She called the Atherton and asked for Tommy
Smith and they put her through to his room. Nobody answered and we thought
it could be a coincidence, so we tried calling Kristin Denehy's (the red head
dancer and AJ's ex fling) room and they also put us through, but she didn't
answer. We thought the boys would be staying there so we went to the hotel,
and there were all these girls there. Apparently Howie had gotten out of a
cab and security rushed him right up the stairs. All the guys were staying
on different floors and security wouldn't let any people out of the elevators
unless they were staying there. They were making everyone leave, so we left.
The next day we decided to go back to the hotel to wait for them to
leave. We went around 12 and ended up staying there til 5. There were all
these rumors about different boys leaving at different times and stuff so we
decided to wait a while. During this time, Mindi Abair (the sax player) came
out and I got her autograph and a picture with her. Tommy Smith came out too
but he was really rude, and I just took a picture of him. I also talked to 3
of the girl dancers around 3 and got a picture with them (Kristin, AJ's ex
was one of them), and they told me they only had an hour to pack, so we kept
waiting. I also got a picture with one of the guy dancers. The security
people came out and told us that they boys were leaving around 5, so we
waited a while longer. They made all the girls make a path from the door to
a tour bus, and they roped us off with police tape. After they did that, the
bus left without they guys even getting on. Apparently they had come out the
side exit or something and the whole thing was a decoy. So we missed them,
but it was a fun experience anyway. I hope you guys like reading about my
fun-filled BSB weekend!

This is my 2nd BSB concert I saw them last time in '98 in Allentown.
Well when I left my house to go to my friend Megan's house about 5 min.
later I realized I forgot my ticket. I couldn't believe I had everything but
my ticket.
While we were driving we decided to make a sign that said, "Honk if you like
the Backstreet Boys!" It was to crowded driving but we got a couple cars and
a few trucks. We also got some thumbs down but they don't know what they're
talkin' about do they? :)
We got to the Bryce Jordan Center right as they were letting people in. We
got in, bought our programs and went to our seats. They weren't exactly
close the stage but it was a great angle you could see almost all of the
sides. I honestly don't think there was a bad seat! We trying to find my one
friend Kayla we looked up and there she was. We were screaming to her at her
seat and got her to come down. We went down to the stage to see if we could
get our picture infront of the stage. The nice security guy took our pic.
Nothing too exciting happened. When we got back to our seats we saw Tommy
checkin' his keyboards, if we would have waited a little while longer we
could've gotten our picture with him. Oh well. While we waited for the show
we did the wave a couple of times that was kinda cool.
Enough about my boring experience you probaly want to know all about the
show! The opening act was Raquel, she toured w/ them in '98. Nothing
exciting. Now the BSB. Well I never saw this concert before but from what
I've read about others It really hasn't changed. They came out flying on the
snowboards as usual to the "Star Wars" music and began "Larger Than Life."
Nick got his hair cut! And what can I say it looks GREAT! What am I saying
they all looked GREAT!!! They introduced themselves. Like we don't know who
they are :) AJ said that maybe he'll come to college at Penn State next
year! I doubt it but it definately got screams. According to howie "Penn
State definately got it goin on tonight!" I had to laught cause he always
says that wherever he is. lol
They did the same songs in the same order. Amazing! We screamed, sang, and
danced the whole time it was so AWESOME!!
When they sang "The Perfect Fan" they brought the moms and daughters on
stage, which was sweet. AJ danced around like a ballerina and him and howie
pretended they were playing violins. It was so funny At the end of "Quit
Playing Games" they were flying around. AJ was on my side. Most of the time
he was upside down throwing water on everyone! He was probaly about 10 ft.
away from us when he was flying. Nick was pretending he was super man or
something lol!
When they were introducing the dancers and the band. Nick was saying
something about a new rapper I forget the name he gave him but it was howie
and he had a hooded sweatshirt hiding his face and he started rapping
introducing his dancers and band member. It was so funny hearing him rap! :)
At the end during "I Want It Thay Way" they all came out wearing Penn State
jersey's with their names on the back.
That's pretty much it. But it was the greatest night of my life. I'll never
forget it. I hope all of you were lucky enough to get tickets. If you think
you have bad seats trust me there is no such thing!I recomend bringing a lot
of film. I used up 3 rolls. I didn't manage to get a pic of them in the
jerseys cause stupid me took all the pictures to early. But I 'll try to
find one and scan it along with the rest of my pics when they develop! If
you think you have bad seats trust me there is no such thing!

Last night I went to see the Backstreet Boys in State College, Pa and it was
so awesome! They opened the night with Larger Than Life. They flew out on
boards, landed and the whole night started! Nick cut his hair and it looks
awesome! I loved it! The guys sang all of the songs off of Millennium and
they sang all of their hits off the old one including As Long As You Love Me,
Quit Playin Games, Get Down, I'll Never Break Your Heart, We've Got It Goin
On, All I Have to Give and Everybody. They also did That's The Way I like it!
The Chair routine looked awesome and they did a routine with these ladder
things which was so cool! Kevin hung upside down off of his ladder for the
whole 2nd verse of Don't Want You Back. All of the guys looked really hot and
did a really great job at the concert! One of the most exciting points of the
evening was when Aj stood in front of us and tore his muscle shirt off of his
body and threw it into the audience and stood on the stage with no shirt.
That was the greatest concert ever!!!!

hey whats up
well i was one of the lucky people who got tix to a bsb concert.
Before i tell ya about the concert i just wanna tell ya the impact bsb had at
PENN STATE. Ok first of all every hotel was packed with screaming teenage
girls. You couldnt drive down the street where bsb was staying because it was
so crowded. My cousin who goes to penn state said that it doesnt even get
that crowded up there when they have football games. Now lets get to the good
part, the concert.
i am just going to skip the opening act because she wasnt that good.
After she was done the fans had to wait the longest 3 and a half hours of our
lives till bsb came on, but it was worth it. This concert was the best one i
have seen them do. They had so much fan interaction then when i saw them in
September. They were so funny to. When they introduce the band and stuff the
other guys just stand around waiting for there turn. But when they were doing
this AJ was up on stage danceing weird than play fighting with brian. AJ also
got some of his beautiful ballet dancing in too. This ended with a rap by
"freaky D" as nick called him . Nick looked hotter than ever with his new
hair cut.
At the end of the show bsb came out singing I want it that way in
Penn State jerseys and that got the crowd more excited. They did an extra
verse of the chorus of IWITW too.
This was truly the best concert i ever been to and what made it even
better was that it was my B-DAY. KTBSBPA!!!!!!

Hi! I was at the Penn State concert last night and it was AWESOME! We
had great seats (10th row in the lower level). It was pretty much the
same as the last tour, except they don't wear the pajama pants anymore,
they wear like normal street clothes. The highlights were:
~AJ RIPPING his shirt off and chucking it at the audience! (If you're
the lucky girl that caught it, CONGRATS!)
~Howie did his rap thing again! Yeaaaah!
~I got to see Nick's new tattoo and his HOT new hair cut! Yum Yum!
~One of the dancers had on a shirt that said "I Love Boys" and when
brian introduced her he was like "That means I love the backstreet boys
right?" it was really cute!
~And Kevin proved his sweetness, there was a very small boy in the front
row and his dad picked him up and Kevin bent down and talked to him from
the stage and shook his hand, it was sooo cute!!
My favorite part was at the end where all the boys came out to sing
IWITW wearing Penn State jerseys that had "00" and there last names on
the back! It was too perfect! It was another great bsb concert and I'm
so happy I got to be there!!!

hey im crystal and i went to the the BSB concert on saturday febuary 12,
2000 at university park, PA. All i have to say is OMG!!!!! this was my first
bsb concert and it was so amazing! The first thing you notice is that Nick
cut his hair short and spiky, if you ask my opinon it makes him look a little
chubbier :-( He got i cut in state college on the wednsday that they came in.
All the bsb looked so good. AJ hair was regular old brown, brian's hair was
cut shorter than usual, howie looked the same and kevin well he looked
amazingly hot as always! I cant remember to many of the details of the
concert, my friend Gena says i was in shock most of the time! I know that
they dedicated SMTMOBL to Denis Popp, it was amazing when they were singing
it, it was like ur in a different world. Back to your Heart was my favorite
part of the concert, Kevin rises up out of the middle of the stage on a white
grand piano and starts playing a song with thier sax player it was so
amazing, then the other BSB came out and were sitting on the lower stage,
kevin started playing BTYH and it made u want to cry it was so amazing.
Everything was so amazing if you're going to one of these concerts you're
going to have a perfect time. I had a sign that said " I LOVE KEV" during
one of the songs he pointed at it and waved and me and my friend gena went
absolutely wild! its so amazing!!! Ohh yeah almost forgot Kevins @$$ looked
so good!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are not enough words to descibe how u will feel at
the concert. University Park is the Penn State College so when the BSB sang
the last song IWITW the had Penn State Football jerseys on it was so cute
well thats about all i can remember,
Talk to ya'll later BSB4EVER

Hi all! Just got back from the opening night of Into the Millennium at State
College, PA. Some random girl with dark hair opened for them, she only sang
15 minutes...not that impressed. Then a 30 minute intermission/sound check
and let the show begin! The played a commercial for myc.com for the
internet webcast later this spring. These 2 shows in PA were the ones they
are filming to be wecasted later. They showed concert footage and played
LTL in the background.
My seats were upper level, row 6 but AMAZING!!!
Wow...wow....wow.....absolutely incredible.....bring biniculors...it was
like being on stage. I could see facial expressions. I'm not even
exaggerating. It was awesome...ok and I've been saying for months that I
could die happy if Nick ever cut and spiked his hair. Guess what....oh
yes...HE DID IT!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! When he was doing his intro everyone
was going nuts. So he says, 'I don't know, I think something's
different...but I'm not sure...nah, maybe not." Then he runs his hands
through his hair and says, "Oh yeah, I got my hair cut. You guys like
it?" We went nuts.
During AJ's intro he said he has always wanted to got to college, maybe
he'd go to PSU (ya right). I already got my pix back....yeah for 1 hour
develping. My mom took her really good camera and lens and I have
incredible pix, esp. considering we had upper level seats. The show was
exactly the same as the 99 tour. The guys looked great! Brian's hair was
finally shorter too, and not orange-ish like before! It was kind of
blondish again and not as curly. AJ's hair was all black and semi short,
Kevin's was normal and Howie's was slicked back all night but his
ponytail was shorter. The only difference in the show was they didn't
wear the dragon pajama pant for It's Gotta Be You and IWITW. They had on
sports type stuff..not jerseys, but sporty clothes. Have you seen all
the sports type shirts they had at American Eagle this summer? Anyway
they were those colors, like dark orange, mustard yellow, dark blue,
dark green.... AJ had on a yellow "wife beater" and orange pants, Nick
had a olive green football style jersey with a #33 in orange and orage
stripes on the sleeves and blue pants, Brian had on Blue pants and a
gray long sleeve shirt with blue sleeves, Kevin hand on a dark orange
wifebeater and dark grey pants and Howie had on a black wife beater and
blue pants.....It was absolutely spellbinding. the whole show.
The only thing was..NICK didn't sing my fave line! "DON"T WANNA HEAR YOU
SAY-yeah ah ah ah" He goes, "you sing it" and put the mic out to
theaudience. grrrr.... During the "You are, you are, you are, you are"
part, right before that line, they sang "Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania,
etc." Very cute. MY recommendation. Bring binoculars.....I'm totally
serious. I could see everything, like I was standing right next to them.
Better than front row because you can see the whole stage then zoom in
with binoculars. They're especially great for looking at the screens.
Talk about up close! Well, I could go on for days but I'm exhausted. If
you want details about anything else, feel free to email me! Now I'm
counting down to March 9 in Cleveland!!
Back to reality!

Well I attended my second BSB show on Friday night and all I can say is that
the guys just keep getting better. The show is very similar to the first
except for some costume changes and a few of the songs are performed
differently. When I originally saw them in Philly they did a shortened
version of "That's the way I like it", but this one was the full song and
Nick was hillarious during it. The boy was really moving during this show and
he was really sexy.
I also wanted to say that I was fortunate enough to be in the guys hotel
while they were there and I meant all of them. They were all really cool and
down to earth, plus they were all willing to sign a copy of "Millenium" for
me. AJ was on my hotel floor and he was too cool to explain, he was even kind
enough to take a pic with me (my favorite!!!). They are truely "Larger Then
Life" and very gracious to fans, they made my dream come true.

Backstreet Boys - February 11, 2000 - Bryce Jordan Center
Hey Everyone! My name is Danielle and this was my first "Into The Millennium"
Concert by them. Well I was very impressed and amazed! This concert was
awesome! Not to mention the FIRST BSB CONCERT OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM! Well I
got there around 6:30 and immediately went in. I bought some souvenirs, a
tour book, a glow stick (everyone had these) and a heart to write on, the
money from these hearts went to the foundation Brain started for people with
the same thing he had with his heart. Well I was in Section E2, Row 6, Seat
027, and really the $50.00 I paid for it was definitely worth it! Before the
concert started they threw beach balls and balloons around to keep us
occupied! We also had started the wave and everyone started chanting
Backstreet Boys! Well around 7:45, the opening act came on, I'm pretty sure
her name was Roquelle or something. Well after that we waited about 20-25
minutes while they prepared the lights and all. At around 8:05 the Backstreet
Boys Video thingie, came on the screen and everyone started to scream then a
little after that we saw the dancers behind us, then the Star Wars Theme
started and the dancers walked forward right past us! Then the Backstreet
Boys came out on their famous "surf boards" flying in the air. They then
landed and started marching around the stage. Then they started singing and
dancing to "Larger Than Life." After that they sang "Get Down" and "As Long
As You Love Me." Not to mention the famous chair dance!
When they started to
talk a bit. I remember AJ said, "It's a little cold outside tonight, but I
know all you ladies will keep us nice and warm!" And I remember Nick when he
came out to talk to us, he scratched the back of his head and said, "You guys
notice anything different me?" Then he said, "Oh Yeah I got a haircut, How do
ya like it?" There was then a loud roar of screams! By the way he looks
hotter then ever with this haircut! It's sorta short and he spiked it up with
gel in the beginning but by the end it was slicked back. I don't remember the
whole order of the concert but, they sang "That's the way I Like it" & "We've
Got it Goin' On." Then for "Quit Playing Games" they got attached to their
cords again and flew back and forth and NICK was on MY side! YES OH YES! (You
can now tell I love NICK!) He was so hot! * Note: my friend had binoculars
and they focused really good and we were looking through and you could see
the sweat dripping from his face ahh yes! * Okay well then they sang "Don't
Wanna Lose You Now" I can't remember if this was before or after "Quit
Playing Games." For "The Perfect Fan" they brought mothers and daughters on
stage, it was really sweet! They also performed "Don't Want You Back" with
the ladder dances! Kevin was on my side and he was hanging upside down! Then
they did "Everybody" they were all decked out in white and silver can you say
"hot!" Then came "Back to Your Heart" where they lowered a piano from the
ceiling and Kevin played it while the others sat and sang, they had on black
with leather pants! They also performed "Show Me The Meaning" & " Spanish
Eyes" and the middle of stage started to turn! Kevin also did a piano solo
with one of their band members. They introduced their band and dancers to
everyone and they all did their own free style dancing! They then did "I Want
it That Way" and had everyone sing!
I enjoyed myself so much! It was the best
night of my life! I had so much fun! Well if you have any questions or wanna

Just to give a little background.. We are 2 crazy chicks!!
Jodi is from Ohio, and flew into the show, to meet her GREAT friend Jen from
PA... By the way.. We are part of that exclusive group of *older* BSB fans...
No, Not that old!!! 25 and Up!!
Now, All I wanna know is Where the party's at...
Jen (Sambo1970@aol.com)
A long time ago..in a galaxy far far away....
In a little town called State College PA...The BSB came to play!
Ok...sorry...we're being silly..LACK OF SLEEEEEPPP!! It started with a
four hour drive..thanks to the traffic! Then we tried to find a parking
spot for about another hour!! Jen's expert driving..finally saved us!
(Which will come in handy..later in the story!) The Show: There was only
one opening act...No EYC! And the boys actually came on at 8:15!! It was
wonderful! Jen quote: "All I remember is the camera on Kevin's face...He
looked in the camera, lifted his brow, and I died!!!" Jodi's favorite
part: "AJ..being the ham he is....booted a stuffed animal across the
stage... But NOT with his FEET!! We all know and love that!!!"
OHHHH...Nick got his hair cut!!! He looked HELLLLAAA fine!! He is very
BUFF BUFF BUFFF! Howie was gettin his groove on!!!!!! Brian was his
usual sweet self! Kevin "Mr. Work the Crowd" Flew about 20 feet from
Jen! And he reached for the crowd..and missed by about a foot!
ARRRGGGHHHH! *Sound of Jen hitting the floor*THUD! And of course...Mr.
Freaky Deaky (AJ for those of you who don't know)...ripped his shirt
off! *sound of Jodi vaulting over all the people down to the stage*
WHOOOOSHHH! There were 3 new dancers....Swoop, RoRo and Neph were
gone!!! Fly, Anthony..and A new girl..(we forget!) Otherwise..it was
pretty much the same show! FABULOUS!
NOWWW: The after show! We drove around the town aimlessly trying to find
the band, crew..or the Boys! Jen...with her driving skills...took a
wrong turn! AND WHAT A TURN IT WAS! Guess what we found? The
busses!!!!!! So...after much debating, we went into the hotel across
from them! Had a drink...and milked our waiter for info! (Props to Brian
from Reading) YAAAAY Jen: The only one with the guts to ask any
questions! We tried to act stupid...like we didn't even know the BSB
were in town.. HAHAHA YEAH RIGHT!! But the guy wasn't dumb! Heehee! He
told us where the Boys were staying, and even gave us directions!
Whoohaha! We drove directly to the hotel..and parked in the underground
parking lot. We got in the elevator..and picked a random floor! We got
off...and walked around the corner, and to our surprise..there were a
couple dancers! Well...we were a little surprised, and excited...so we
walked down to that end of the hall! Dead END!!
BUTTTTTTT: Jen and Jodi turned around...and a "golden door"
opened...there was a brilliant light..and a lot of smoke...and remember
that song Dream Weaver? (Thanks Martine!) Well...that was playing...and
who walked out of the door...1 foot away from us? AJ AJ AJ AJ AJ AJ!!!!!
OMGGGGGGGGGG. Jen looked for Jodi..Jodi looked for Jen...OMG! Jodi
looked directly in his eyes..and had to move out of his wayyyyyyy!
Needless to say..we were both in shock!! It only lasted for about 5
seconds..but it will last a lifetime for us! It was an incredible night,
and we didn't get home until about 4:30! AM!
Love, Jen and Jodi!

My friend and I drove from Toronto to State College, PA for the first
concert... it was great, just like the last time--it was worth the
loooooong drive. As you can see from what everyone else has written,
things were pretty much the same, with a couple costume differences
(they didn't wear the PJs this time), and they didn't play the
Backstreet's Back video (which I really liked seeing at the Ottawa
show).
Two points worth mentioning: One "flaw" with the show was that Brian
and Howie sounded flat during some songs. Not that big a deal, but it
was a noticable. I suppose they're entitled to an off day...
The other thing was that nobody introduced the opening singer. I didn't
find out her name till visiting backstreet.net. (that can't be helping
her career out too much?)
Did anyone else notice AJ's shiny ring that really looked like a wedding
band? DID AJ GET MARRIED? He seemed a lot more calm than normal, which
was quite nice. Still fun, but more mature.
As per other comments: Nick's new haircut is very flattering for him.
It looks great. Well, they all looked great, as usual.
Finally, I just want to say that everyone we encountered in PA was so
NICE!!!!! They went out of their way for us at restaurants, our hotel,
and even at the parking garage, and they were more polite and friendly
than Canadians are known for being!
This was a fantastic concert, and the whole experience was so much fun.
I can't wait for Hamilton and Toronto now!

I just got back from the most amazing night of my life! I was at the
Backstreet Boys concert at Penn State University. The boys were no more
than ten feet from me. I couldn't believe the seats I had. The show
was amazing. They opened up with "Larger Than Life" (of course).
Everything was the same as the fall tour except their last costumes were
different. They sounded incredible! They were all being hams up on the
stage. A.J. was acting like a ballerina dancer at one point during "The
Perfect Fan." I even got Brian to wave at me!! I can't pick a favorite
part of the show because the whole show is so incredible. I really
admire they for putting their hearts and souls into their performances.
And, the best part is I get to go back tomorrow night and see them
again! I can't wait!

Hi there. Just thought I give you a quick look at the second leg of the
Millenium tour!! I was at the FIRST BSB concert of the year 2000!!! Feb
11 at State College PA... (GO PENN STATE ) Anyway... it was wonderful!
Roquelle opened for then again... (not sure if i spelled her name
right)...And it looks like she had her baby. The Boys came out at about
8:00. Opening with Larger Than Life, they flew in one their sky boards
to the sounds of Star Wars!! The band looks great. Alot of people cut
their hair.... INCLUDING NICK!!!! He looks great! He aked the audience
what they thought too. And his tattoo looks really nice. AJ seems to
have calmed down a bit, while Howie is getting crazy! Brian will be
Brian and Kevin is as hot as ever! They did Get Down and As Long As You
Love Me. the cahir dance looks great! Then they came out wearing all
black leather..... HELLO!!!
Don't Wanna Lose You Now slowed things down a bit. Then Quit Playin
Games was next. Now this was great.... They all got harnessed in and
flew over the audience. I know everyone is doing it, but it is a great
idea who ever started it!! (wasn't is Garth Brooks??) They each flew out
like "spokes of a wheel" .... We got Nick on our side. AJ seemed to have
the most fun with the flying business! Then they pulled up a Mom and
daughter set per member and did The Perfect Fan. So Sweet!!!! They
disapeared under the stage again and came out for Don't Want You Back.
They attached ladderish looking things to the stage and climbed all over
them. Howie seemed to get a little carried away... :-) Kevin hung upside
down for the second chorus. A new change of clothes for
Everybody-backstreets back... they all came out in White and Silver.
That song mixed with We've Got It Goin On. Then it was time for the pink
and grey suits... Back to Your Heart, Show Me the Meaning, Spanish Eyes,
and All I Have to Give. Somewhere in there Kevin played his little piano
solo that was on A Night Out... Oh yeah, it was right before Back to
Your Heart because he played piano for that song as well. They changed
one last time....that makes 5 times... into "normal looking clothes" if
you will, and did That's the Way I Like It...MY FAV!!!! They introduced
the Band and Dancers... Then they closed with I Want It That Way.
I am not sure on the exact order of each song but that was the jist of
it....Here the full list of songs done... not in order: Off Millenium=
Larger Than Life, Don't Wanna Lose You Now, Perfect Fan, Don't Want You
Back, The One, Back To Your Heart, Show Me the Meaning, Spanish Eyes, I
Want It That Way, No One Else Comes Close, It's Gotta Be You... and
Kevin played his piano solo. Off Backstreet Boys= Get Down, As Long As
You Love Me, Quit Playing Games, Everybody, We've Got It Goin On, I'll
Never Break Your Heart, All I Have to Give and also off of Backstreets
Back= That's the Way I Like It.
It was WONDERFUL! The Circle Stage worked great!!! They made sure the
got around to everyside so everyone got a chance to see them!!!
Hope you liked my littel review!!!

I went to the first concert of this tour. The show was
opened with a lady who was not named. Then they did a
light check after that and checked every light. Then
they played the star wars music thet flew out on surf
boards and the Backstreet Boys walked around the
stage. The first song was Larger Than Life. Then the
songs followed in this order: I'll Be the One, Get
Down, As Long As You Love Me, Don't Want To Loose You
Now, Quit Playin' Games, Don't Want to Back, Perfect
Fan, Kevin's untitled song, Back to your heart,
Backstreets Back, We've Got It Goin' On, That's The
Way I Like It, Spanish Eyes, I'll Never Break Your
Heart, No one else comes close, All I Have To Give,
Show Me The Meaning, half of It's Got To Be You,
introduction od band and dance members, the rest of
It's Got To BE You, and he last song was I Want It
That Way. They flew over the crowd looking really hot
in leather! I am going tonight again to the Sat.
concert and I will send my review.
I have been to the Lexington Kentucky concert, too and
I think they were both EXCELLENT!!!!

Oh My GOD!
Tey were really on last night, as they opened the first show for the last
leg of this tour. This time there was only 1 opening act and I think it was
Raquel the girl who opened for them on their '98 tour. Then there was a half
hour intermission and they came out at 8:15. They did everything the same as
the last leg, but they were really pumped and into it. they didn't seem
nervous or anything. And Nick got his hair cut. I know but he really looks
more mature like he is coming into his own. I think it was the college crowd
that had them pumped up. And this crowd was respectful and you could actually
hear them sing. well I can't think of anything else to say but IT WAS BEST
ONE I HAVE BEEN TO. ( and I have seen them 3 times)

Well, where to start?
We waited outside in the freezing cold until they opened the doors at 6.
But, see, they didn't open the doors at six. Some lady in line puked,
and held everything up :\ But that wasn't the Boys' faults, of course.
We were in a section of seats that we kind of at an angle from the
stage, and we were sure they were going to be bad. But when we got in
there, it was total shock. They were great. Two monitors to look at, and
a fair view of three of the five points. I don't think there was a bad
seat in the arena, actually.
Some girl opened, I didn't catch her name. She's the Britney Spears,
Christina Aguilera type. Nothing outstanding about her. Her 2 songs
weren't too bad. She came on at 7:30.
The guys came on at 7:30, to the Star Wars music of course, and on their
rockin snowboards. First thing everyone noticed: Nick's hair. He just
got it cut. It's still as gorgeous as ever though. It's shorter than it
was, short enough that it fluffs up on its own. The back was shaved
close to his head. When he did his little introduction, he rubbed the
back of his head and said, "You guys notice anything different about it?
Yeah, I forget what it is..." It looks good, period. Nice change for
him.
Anyways, as they got off the snowboards and started doing their marches
around the stage, Kevin kind of wiggled his eyebrow, and everyone went
crazy. It's amazing how much power they have over us, just moving one
eyebrow.
They started with Larger than Life, and, of course, sounded great. They
seemed to be really happy to be back on stage. I don't really remember
the set that well...it was good, that's all I can say. Oh, they did a
medley type thing with Everybody, That's the Way I Like it, and We've
Got it Goin' On.
Oh my God, when they flew. It's during Quit Playin Games, and Nick was
sitting on the corner of the stage nearest to us. They get all hooked
up, and Nick starts flying right at us. When he got the top of his
pulley thing, we could see the sweat on his face. As you all would be
too, I was freaking out. I mean, he was right there. I thought I was
going to have a heart attack. This girl behind me put her hand on my
shoulder, I guess I looked pretty excited. My mom took pictures, but
they make him look like he was farther away.
I don't know if everything they did at the show is going to be the same,
since that show is going to be the one they use for the webcast. They
introduced the band, and the dancers and everything.
Howie almost tripped over Nick once. Nick was laying on the top of the
raised platform, and went to get up. Howie almost fell over him, heh.
Nick did that thing where he lays on the stage and just jumps up, too.
Pretty impressive. Oh, and AJ's shirt was off at one point. Not exactly
a bad thing :)
So, overall, they just sounded great, and they dance so well. They
definitely put on a show that will you make you giddy days afterward.

Last nite I attented the first show of the second leg of the Backstreet
Boy's "Into the Millenium" tour. To everyone who's been to a show on the
first leg of the tour, don't expect much of a difference. It was pretty
much the same show, awesome of course, but one new thing on Nick
everyone should look out for. It's kinda hard to miss though! To
everyone who hasn't been to one of the Into the Millenium shows already,
you are in for a huge treat!! Lots of pyro, flying, and of course great
music and hot guys....haha!!
Thanks for reading this review!

Hey BSB Fans!
I went to the first BSB concert of the new Millennium last night and what
can I say other than it was INCREDIBLE! But then again I never had any doubt
that it would be amazing. This was the third Into the Millennium concert
I've been to so there weren't really any surprises. Sorry to dissappoint
anyone, but the show is exactly the same as the Fall tour. The only
difference is the the costume at the end of the show, at the other 2 concerts
I went to they were wearing what looked like pajama pants. At the show last
night, they were all decked out in Abercrombie and Fitch. Kevin looked
mighty fine in a tight orange wife-beater, and army green pants. Nick was
wearing a black and red football tee with the number 33 on it. Brian looked
soooo cute in navy and gray with a matching cap.
ATTENTION ALL NICK FANS!!!
Nick has cut his hair!!!! He looks even hotter than before if you can
imagine that. He was so cute too because in the beginning of the show when
he was talking to the audience he said, "Hmmm , do any of you notice anything
different about me??", meanwhile he's scratching his head..then he said "Oh
yeah! I got a haircut!! How do you like it". That's when I went deaf because
everyone was screaming. I, personally loved it, it makes him look older. No
more split down the middle, his hair is short and kinda spikey (with gel).
Everybody else, looks basically the same no change in Brian, Kevin, Howie, or
AJ. The order of the songs during the performance is the same and the dancing
is the same, so its pretty much the same show. They rocked the house last
night, they will rock the house again tonight, and every other show that they
do..cause they're the best, and we all know it! If you wanna know anything
else about the show, e-mail me and I'll answer your questions.

The feb. 11th concert was amazing! jessica simpson didnt open for the.
someone with brown frizzy hair with to boy dancers. after she went
ofstage the crowd started to chant "bring on bsb" then one side would go
"backstreet" and the other would go "boys". some of us got to hit the
ball around. people were doing the wave. the lights went off. everyone
got on their feet and screamed. the dancers came out through the
audience on the left side of the stage with torches to the theme song
from star wars. they walked around the stage then the rockets when off
and the ufos were spinning. the lights where flickering. then suddenly
all the head turned to the right side of the stage. bsb came out of a
black box on flying skateboards. they were doing tailgrabs and flips.
they landed on the stage and got unhooked form the skateboards. they
walked all the way around the stage. then they started to sing "larger
than life". im not sure of all the orders they sang the songs but they
sang all the songs off of their "millenium" album and for "back to your
heart" kevin was on the piano, "we've got it goin on", "quit playin
games", "ill never break your heart", "everybody", "as long as you love
me", "all i have to give" (they wore pink suits for this one. they
looked fffiiiinnnnneeeee!!!), and i think they sang "get down"
and "anywhere for you".
the stage was in the shape of an octagon and
there was a trap door in it. the middle of it would come up and rotate
around. nick got a brand new hair-do and you could his new tatoo which
is on the right upper arm. aj quoted ...."im thinking about going to
collage. i think ill go to state collage..." those probably arn't his
exact words but something like that. for "the perfect fan" they pulled
out 5 pairs of mothers and daughters. the backstreet boys took the
daughters and walked around the stage with them. for one of their songs
they had poles with well, poles coming out from the sides. they would
climb all the way on top and sway back and forth. for another song they
got strapted ot the harn ests and flied aorund the stage. they did a lot
of flips on them. howie threw roses. aj threw water into the audience.
they introduced the band and dancers. the concert ended with "i want it
that way". they said "...we don't want to go. we're having to much
fun..." then the bowed and thanked the audience for a wonderful night.
they went into the trap door and ran in this hallway with gates so the
audience would'nt get out.
I would like to thank the secuity guard who took my present to the back
boys. thank you once again.
I hope you who read this will enjoy the concert as much as i did!

Just wanted to let everyone know about some updates in the world of the
Backstreet Boys. I went to Bryce Jorden Center last night to see that
kick-off of the last leg of their world tour. It was unbelievable. For all of
you Nick fans, HE CUT HIS HAIR. It's still shaved underneath, but instead of
sort of long and hanging, the top is cut short and spiky, almost like
kevin's. It looks great! I'm sure that you guys have read so many reviews of
the concerts that you most likely know the normal stuff, but something last
night really struck me. The guys seem to be so extremely close. I know you
might read stories all the time of the guys breaking up or that someone is
starting a solo career, just something that suggests that they will break up.
Not by a long-shot would any of that happen after what I say last night.
Anyone can tell that they are certainly brothers. One of the best parts of
the concert was at the beginning of QPGWMH. They were standing on top of the
raised center part of the stage. AJ and Nick were facing me side and they
where talking to each other. All of the sudden, AJ starting doing really
wierd dances. Then Nick did it. Then they were both doing them together. It
was sooo funny. They were so adorable. Last night was one of the best nights
of me life. They guys were totally awesome, as well as the band and the
dancers. Hope all of you guys get to see it if you already haven't!! If
anyone has any questions, feel free to e-mail me at BpCjP99@aol.com.
Thanx for reading!!
Keep the backstreet pride alive!!
