Honestly guys, we all know you're not supposed to take the media seriously... I caught them fudging a bunch of facts in that article, if they can't even get the facts straight, such as the date the tickets for the B&B tour went on sale, how can we even take what they say seriously?? It's all for attention.

It is disgusting what people will do for money, This article made me ashamed to be part of the human race. Who treats people like that? "Could you please schedual your open heart surgery around the tour because we're not making enough money off of you and we want you to risk your health and your future well-being so that we can take advantage of you and screw you blind." WTF? These 5 guys deserve so much more respect then they get not just for their music but for all the shit they have gone through. I'm have never been more proud to call myself a fan of theirs. They will get what they deserve. i have faith in that. KTBSPA

Man. all I can say is that the BSB are WAY too good for the Music Industry. I makes me so sad to read about the way that they have been treated when THEY are the reason that so many other people have had success. I mean the article said that The Firm used the profits it made from BSB to make its self into the Empire that it is today. And Jive was not a very big label before the BSB became successful. The BSB were what allowed them to expand into the most successful independent label in history. Without BSB they wouldn't have gotten so big. Also BSB helped Mtv with TRL, and all the Teen magazines, and just the Music Industry in general by bringing back the Pop trend to music. Just remember that before BSB hit it big the Music Industry was in a major slump. I know that this might sound arrogant or biased since I'm a BSB fan but frankly it's the truth. These people who have been taking advantage of them and manipulating them should really be thanking them for everything that they have done. Instead they are just treated like disposable waste. It honestly makes me sick. I am so proud to be a fan of these five guys. They have survived this long in this brutal business and I know that they are capable of a truly legendary career. I have never looked up to them more than I do now after reading this article. KTBPA

I think that each of the members of BSB will eventually do solo projects whether it be acting, producing, writing or singing - BUT they will always be the most successful Pop band ever. I hope they will continue to make music together - but if not, I will still follow their careers and remain a fan forever. As for Leighanne Littrell - she does have a right to show and voice an interest in her husband's career - any other wife would of their husband would whether he be in show business or not. Just think about when and if they have children - His Family will come first. Mine would.

After reading that article I realised (not that I didnt already) just how hard the boys work and how many obsticles they have had to overcome and they have done and become stronger for it.
I keep hearing that people think there should be an album out before the end of the year and that it should be before Nicks solo album, but I dont think it needs to be that soon. There was quite a considerable break between Backstreet's Back and Millennium and Millennium turned out to be their most successful ablum. So, I dont think they need to release an album right now. That doesnt mean I dont want one coz I will listen to anything the boys want to release. I will be a BSB fan forever and I will support them all through their future projects.

As for Nick releasing a solo album, I think it is a great thing. I personally cant make a comment about it being the right time. If Nick feels that to him it is the right time, then I respect that. it has been in some articles that he said he started writing over a break, so if he has put so much effort and attention into his album, then he should release it when he feels the time is right. He is doing it for his fans. he wants us to know the real him, what he's about and how he feels and deals with issues. he has put his heart and soul into this ablum and from what has been heard so far, it will be amazing. I personally cant wait to hear it.

Wow, i just read over what all of you guyz had to say and i was so impressed. i do believe that bsb has the strongest and most supportive fans. a lot of ppl are angry at nick for releasing a solo album rite now, but i think it's great, b/c if nick releases his solo album first, then the crowd will probably focus on bsb too b/c nick is a member of bsb. if anything, nick releasing the solo album first will help bsb sell more albums and make this album EVEN STRONGER. and i really liked the point on what jacob shared on sayin how bsb does somany great things just like nick with saving the ocean and howie with the lupus found. but once when something like nick gettin arrested happens, it immediately gets scrutinized and the criticizm begins. knowing all the things that have happended to the boys, i am def. going to stand by them during their whole music careers. i have a feeling their new album is going to be the best. and bsb is not going downhill. they're not over. and n'sync isn't better. PROOF: on jojo's rear end countdown for 2001, KIIS FM IN CALIFORNIA, BSB STILL NAILED THE #1 SPOT AND N'SYNC CAME IN 2ND. KTBSPA. the boys are stronger than ever.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya know, about two hours ago I posted what I thought about the article and the boys, and since then I have read all the opinions before mine and after mine. I agree with a lot of what has been said but I also disagree with some things that have been said. For instance, I agree when people say that they don’t think Nicks solo project is a good idea, but at the same time I support it. I mean Nick isn’t going anywhere. He is doing something different by himself. Last time I checked that was called a “SIDE PROJECT”. A lot of you have been saying it’s bad publicity and to some degree I understand that considering all the BS that has been going on. But think of it this way: Bad publicity is better than no publicity at all. And right now BSB can use some publicity. As far as his album goes, I support him 110% because I know he isn’t “going solo” he just doing something solo. And now that I think about it, I think most of you are hearing and seeing the word solo and immediately think it means Nick is quitting. Lets define solo: alone, by one’s self, without help. Hell! I’ll even get the dictionary’s definition for you. ……. Ok here it is: solo adv (1712): without companion: alone (fly~) That’s it. Word for word! Now, look at that again. Please, tell me where it says “leaving” “breaking up” “over”. Oh you can’t because it’s not in there. So lets get the “solo” means “leaving” out of our head realize he his just experimenting ….no big deal!

As far as everything else goes: why don’t we just forget about what the article said. Most of us already knew that anyway, and anybody that lets what that article said affect them or get to them needs to calm down, because what a reporter says doesn’t have the power to change our support for BSB. I get teased a lot by friends (mostly guys) because I am a fanatic of them and I show it. Every year, the same kid asks me “You still like the Backstreet Boys” and every year I have answered “NO!” Because I don’t just like them, I love them, support them and most of all I respect them. I don’t let other peoples opinions matter tome or affect me in any way, shape, or form. I believe that if you’re a true fan, you’re always a fan. So instead of critiquing what other people have said and getting pissed of at each other and the writer, we should just ignore it and keep on loving the guys that give us fantastic music. We should keep on supporting them in anything they do. The Backstreet Boys are always there for us through their music so lets be there for them through out support, and faith in them. If anyone doesn’t quite follow what I have been trying to say, it’s as simple as this

KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!!!!!

That’s all we have to do! Just keep supporting them and everything will be ok.

P.S. I’d love to know what you think of what I had to say, so please let me know.

Hey Fans,
Does anyone know what happened with the group after Nick said he wanted to do a solo album? I mean really know what happened? We're all critics since we each have our own opinion, but what about the rumors? First, the guys were cool with it, then Brian told Nick to leave the group bla bla. These r all rumors. Does anyone have the inside scoop? No. We don't know what happened and waht the heck's going on, so we just believe what we choose to. These things r getting way out of control. Imagine the position the guys must be in. Thede situations are wild and it's hard to know the real truth. I've said this before and I'll say again: the only thing the fans can do right now is KTBSPA, support our fave group like crazy, and vote to get them back to their place and throne, the no. 1 position on da charts. These are the prices to fame, so we gotta trust the Backstreet Boys.

Hey BSB Fans!
I, also read the article and thought that it was very informative. But at the same time it made it sound like our boys are not happy with their lives and that they never get along anymore, and we all know that, that isn't true, i mean just because they argue and disagree sometimes doesn't mean that they are going to break up, that's just them being normal ppl, everyone does it all the time. They've always said that they will be together until they decide TOGETHER that its time to part, nowadays it seems as though they have to keep repeating themselves so that fans don't get the wrong idea, because the media and critics keep doubting them and keep making some wrong accusations. I also think that sometimes critics and media blow things way out of proportion, i know some ppl might disagree with me and say that I’m only saying this because i'm a BSB fan, but it happens to so many celebrities not just the Backstreet Boys and a lot of times it's unfair towards them and their fans.
I hate the fact that even though Backstreet Boys have been in the music business for almost 10yrs, ppl still don't respect and appreciate them and what they stand for, i know they feel that they've accomplished so much, but every time they have that high the critics and the media just try pulling them down again, But then they do something that proves that their just as strong as anyone else.
They've always tried their best to make us, the fans happy and we definitely appreciate, respect and love them for them. Certain comments that are made shouldn't be made sometimes because they hurt our boys' feelings, they the critics might not know it but it does. I'm glad that the guys never doubt themselves and that they never let ppl like the media put them down. I'm glad that they'll always be there for each other no matter if they are a group or not, it's not up to critics to decide whether they should be the Backstreet Boys, it's up too them and us fans, cos' as long as we support them and love them they can get through anything good or bad.
As far, as their record company is concerned and past management, I think that they just did major bullshit in certain decision making, they obviously didn’t care what the guys thought and how they felt, they did it for the money and only the money, although they did do some really great things for the guys, they mess it up when they decided to do things with out BSB even agreeing.
I think that for them everything happens for a reason, and they obviously have had there ups and downs, including Brian’s Heart Surgery, Howie’s sister dieing , AJ losing his grandmother, AJ admitting that he had a problem and getting help, and Nick’s arrest, and so on, but that stuff only makes them stronger.
I think that if Nick wants to take this chance and release a solo project then he should do it, I mean I don’t agree with him staying with The Firm but, I do think that if he wants to do it, then he should be able to. I’d support any one of the other guys if they decided that they wanted to do a solo album. This album doesn’t mean that they are breaking up, Nick is a very talented guy. And as for the girl that said that Nick doesn’t have the greatest voice, then why the hell is he in the group?? Why the hell would they have picked him if they didn’t think he was good? They are all unique individuals and they bring their own style into what makes up the Backstreet Boys. There all doing their individual things with their charities, and probably when the time comes some of the other guys are going to want to started making solo albums and possibly even start acting and we shouldn’t be mad and think that they are over.
As far, as Nstink is concerned they can just kiss BSB asses, cos’ they know they can never amount to anything and achieve what BSB has, the respect from certain well respected musical artist, the talent and obviously the millions and millions of fans from all over the world.
I remember when Muchmusic use to have BSB days, and they would have hours and hours of non-stop BSB videos and concerts and interviews, I hope that one day they can start doing that again, because I know that would be amazing just to see the boys from the beginning to where they are now. I completely support any decision that they make, because they are the ones that make me happy and make me want to listen to music.
Last but not least, we should never believe stupid, one-sided critics and we should never let them tell us fans that OUR BOYS have been undone and are slowly disappearing, if the BSB want to take a break they should be able to do that, I mean they did it when they were done with the Backstreet’s Back tour and then they came out with Millennium and practically shattered records around the world, so who says they can’t do it again? They are the Backstreet Boys, they can do what they want, they should be able to have lives and make their own decisions, and whatever decisions they make we have to support them and make them feel good, and we need to just forget about the critics and their rude, meaningless, and uneducated remarks. Because BSB are the ones who are Larger Than Life, and too us they’ll always be like that.

The Backstreet Boys Will be back Bigger than ever! And Nstink and and those lame ass critics and ppl who hate BSB will just be shitting in their pants when they see what our boys can do.

Thanks for Listening to my comments
And KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!!!!!

I posted earlier today, and I have read over all the entries since I posted.I just want to say that even though I think Nick should have waited 'till maybe after the next tour to do a solo album I still will support him, and I still will get his CD. I don't know about you guys but I have stuck with the guys through worse trials then this and I will stick with them(ALL of them) to the very end, whenever that may be. I am so glad that so many BSB fans seem to be uniting behind the guys, and supporting them, that is exacly what they need during times like these. Thanks for reading another one of my babling entries. Peace and KTBSPA!

p.s. Amanda, your entry was kind of harsh, but it's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

i think that the article made the boys sitution look a little on the bad side.it didnt talk about the boys music, nor the talent, nor the fans. it talked about the buissness, money,& managment of the boys.at first, all the stuff it was saying, like the boys were havnig managment problems & weren't making as much money as they were made me kinda mad. i thought "but the boys are as talented as they were yesterday." but then i realized that i was getting worked up over nothing. i read that ym febuary 2000 aritcle with the boys. in it, Brian said that its easy to get cuaght up in the politics of the buisness. & what he said was true. just look at us. some of us are getting nervous about the boys future. but fact is, just becuase they swcth mangment, doesnt make the boys over. its just a little problem that the boys have overcome, obviously. right now, they are in the studio recording their next album & everythings going to be fine. & we can't really base what the boys furture is gonna be like from what lou pearlman says, i mean look..he did steal money from the boys. & about nicks solo album...he has said time & time agian that even though he is doing a solo project, the boys aren't breaking up..& i believe him. one last thing..i did not think that black & blue was a failure..i thoguht it was a great album.

2 words basically sum my feelings up: Thank god! Ive always known there have been a lot of finacial problems surrounding the boys and their management companies, but i havent really understood it all. a lot of it was hidden from the public. Im very happy this person decided to explain it (and he explained it very well.) i think a better title could have been chosen...i mean, the boys really havent come undone, in my opinion. I dont think the boys are breaking up, especially for money purposes, they always say they love what there doing, and i dont think money would get in the way of that. I AM kind of upset with nick. The backstreet boys have given him everything he has (again my opinion) for the past 10 years and i think his actions have in a way were "backstabbing" the boys. I'm amazed at lou pearlman (he is a sick man)and jive. they are so cruel...especially when it came to brian's heart surgery. I think the bsb were right to leave them, they need to make more decisions for themselves. All in all i like the article i though it was great

I feel that everything that the Boys have been through will only make them stronger. They all have wonderful voices and are very talented individuals. I know that the article said the boys weren't thrilled about Nick's solo album and as long as he (Nick) realizes that the group comes first and this solo project comes after that, then everything will be okay. People can be organized and do more than one thing. We, as the fans, must support the Boys anyway we can.

Hey BSB Fans
I have mixed amotions about it but I also understand the Pearlman issue. I think that it is great that Nick is doing a solo album and I think it gona be great and maybe even better because I know when AJ did the Johny No Name thing everybody got a kick out of that. I think there is alot of talk about them maybe breaking up but I just think alot of it is BS and I know that the Backstreetboys work very hard at what they do. I am shore that they are gonna come out and do something to surprise us all. So keep the BSB Pride Alive and stop the Trash talk....

Let's be blunt-Brian and Kevin have been off the better part of two years being married and AJ has spent that time in rehab and getting engaged. That is their right to do, but was Nick supposed to put his life on hold? Those three seem very selfish to me. They want time off for married life and Nick has no say, but he makes a solo album and thats out of line. NO! You snooze you lose. How many of us get off two years for a honeymoon? I think it's less that Jive is a bad record company (look at Britney, Nsync, Jennifer love Hewitt) and more that a few of the BSB have gotten lazy. And Leighanne has no business interfering. None of us buy her records and Jive and the Firm didn't agree to represent her. Just what Brian needs-someone who can't even make it in enetertainment telling him how to run his career. Ha ha!
