Who even said Nick would tour by himself? If he's touring with BSB, he could throw some of his solo stuff in there...it'll be like a double concert...Wango Tango had a whole bunch of acts, so can BSB!! First of all, I didn't read this article from the New York Times, I read it in the Toronto Star in the Entertainment section and I was completely shocked. Sure I'm a Backstreet Boys fan, but I haven't been keep up on any of the latest news. I didn't even know that Nick was coming out with a solo album. But I never expected it to be so bad. I'm not sure if the media has made things out to look so bad, but you know what? I don't think they have. I went onto www.backstreetboys.com where I used to go to take a look at certain updates on concerts and new songs etc.. etc.. and that site, it's hardly up and running anymore? What happened? And if infact Nick Carter did deliberately go for his own career with the Firm and had the boys in the dark, I think that's horrbile of him to do. And if they break up because of his selfish and careless judgement, I don't know if I quite frackly want to buy his solo album. The boys have had horrible publicity in the past 8 months. A.J. in rehab, and a while ago when the other boys got married, it's just showing they have grown up and gone their seperate ways. It actually is making me sad to think that their careers might be over. It's not like they don't have enough money to live off of for the rest of their lives. I guess I just thought they'd be around for a long time to come. That's all I had to say. While most of the things the author wrote were true, there were many things that were purely false! I mean look at the title! How a Pop Sensation came UNDONE? Excuse me, but I didn't hear any of the BSB say they were over, did you? NO! And the statement that said A.J.'s rehab stay damaged the groups image! I think, if anything, A.J.'s rehab stay gained the Boys more respect from other musicians, fans, and even people who weren't BSB fans! And the thing about Nick leaving the group! They don't realize that just because this band may be one of the most successful bands ever [thats something you can't argue.. think 5Million]they ARE PEOPLE! I find this devistating, since I believe that they are a very talented vocal group, who are still very capable of coming back to the top. I think it is unfair to compare them to other bands and their success, since there are many talented artists who also deserve credit. The spotlight has simply drifted off of them, and focused on a more popular band. However, I wish the best, and hope to see them do very well in 2003 upon their next release. As for the boys, I think that they should continue to work together and be supportive, instead of taking a selfish turn. It upset me that Kevin critisized the Black and Blue album, and that Nick has lost their support, due to a decision which could be beneficial to his career choice. It really seems that things will continue to go down hill from here, if they continue this way. They took a break because they were tired. Some times you just gotta sit back and rest. Hey it's better then burn-out! They also mentioned that A.J going to rehab destroyed their image. Well think about. At least he admited he had a problem and did something about it. If he didn't tell everyone there would of been romurs about it and eventually everyone would of found out. Then the media would of said "BSB lies to there fans." I think A.J handled it well and from me I have nothing but respect for him." I'm glad for BSB that they have been able to hang on for so long and survive the neverending battle between themselves and *NSYNC. BSB even made it into the Guniess Book of World Records for the album "Millennium". They have gone through a lot of problems and al least have kept there fans up to date with what has been going on and not been afraid to admit them. I think one thing that people don't realize is the they guys are human too and will at times tend to make mistakes like the rest of us. We have to understand that and support them anyway we can. I believe that eventhough they are doing seperate projects, doesn't mean that they are thinking of breaking up. Look at Lance from *NSYNC, he's trying to go up in space, and there's been no news of *NSYNC breaking up, so I don't understand why people are constantly always picking on BSB. I did not think that Black & Blue was a bad album, and for crying out loud he should have kept that to himself. People have enough bad things to say about the boys without one of the members saying not so positive things about their work. Nicks going on his own is not a surprise to me, seeing as the mother he has. I think she has used him to further Aarons career along. She is for the almighty dollar and NIcks album if it does well should net him in alot of money. He wouldnt have to share with 4 other guys. Will there be a Backstreet Boys without Nick. I doubt it. Can they get it together enough to do another Album? I dont think so. Before when it was mostly just them it was easier. Now with Nick getting close to his mother again, wives & girlfriends getting involved, they are no longer a team like the used to be. Remember the Beatles? Who exactly broke them up. Anyway the article was misleading about NSyn passing BSB up. They sold over 5 million CDs. We all know how good Nsycs No Strings did, but how well did their last album do. Not much better than BSB, and BSBs Millineum was the highest selling Album in its first week. Black & Blue surpassed that. I still think that the Boys could do a fantastic new album , but the press, TV you name are still making fun of them. Even Nsyc is getting it now.
