A lot of people are angry saying that "Bsb are not breaking up" but did the NY times say that in ANY part of this article?? I sure didn't see anything so I think people should just calm down. And many say that they are lying, well, who are we to say that they aren't? The music business has always been a kind of dark one. Just because Bsb are so loveable and are the best singers in the world doesn't mean their jobs are any different than other musicians before them. They never lied, or said anything offensive (I personally think). The article was mostly about what happened between the boys and their record companies anyways. I just think this article isn't that big of a deal to be so angry over. If anybody is mad at me for saying what I said, go ahead, but everybody is allowed to have their own opinion. :) Have a nice day/night! I have no hard feeling at him for doing so, I think its a great thing. Just becuase he did this dosnt mean he is leavint the rest of the boys in the dark, he just talked to Howie and said that we could be expecting a BSB album as soon as next year, I dont know why you all are whinning, blah blah Nick did this blah blah nick is being selfish. The boys have been threw so much, and time and time and time again they have over come, and rasied above and went on strong, so BSB is not over, BSB will never be over as far as know. Nick will not leave the guys, the guys will not kick Nick out of the group, if the did, whom ever did the move, Nick leaving or them kicking him out, it would be the biggest mistake of there lifes, Im sorry but we've grown to love BSB as 5 not 4, we have all been threw so much together and I could never see BSB giving Nick the boot and having a replacement or even just as 4. You have to think about Nick though. He stayed whit thoes guys for his solo, but him in the group moved on right. And I think they may use Nick as a puppet to get back at the other 4 for leaving, keeping him busy so he cant work with the other guys, and then people will point the finger at Nick, and put the blame oh him. This article did explain a lot about the hits ch.1 being out so early, and tix prices so high. I know we won't like all the things that were said in the article (it hurt me to know that the boys were unhappy) but it speaks truth. Their management, record companies, etc. weren't thinking as carefully or professionaly as they should have. BUT, I think this article is slightly opinionated since it's pretty much all Kevin's idea of how everything went down. It could have all been told differently by the others. But altogether, I think this article really gives people and inside look at how celebs are mistreated often by their management. First of all, I didn't read this article from the New York Times, I read it in the Toronto Star in the Entertainment section and I was completely shocked. Sure I'm a Backstreet Boys fan, but I haven't been keep up on any of the latest news. I didn't even know that Nick was coming out with a solo album. But I never expected it to be so bad. I'm not sure if the media has made things out to look so bad, but you know what? I don't think they have. I went onto www.backstreetboys.com where I used to go to take a look at certain updates on concerts and new songs etc.. etc.. and that site, it's hardly up and running anymore? What happened? And if infact Nick Carter did deliberately go for his own career with the Firm and had the boys in the dark, I think that's horrbile of him to do. And if they break up because of his selfish and careless judgement, I don't know if I quite frackly want to buy his solo album. The boys have had horrible publicity in the past 8 months. A.J. in rehab, and a while ago when the other boys got married, it's just showing they have grown up and gone their seperate ways. It actually is making me sad to think that their careers might be over. It's not like they don't have enough money to live off of for the rest of their lives. I think, if anything, A.J.'s rehab stay gained the Boys more respect from other musicians, fans, and even people who weren't BSB fans! And the thing about Nick leaving the group! They don't realize that just because this band may be one of the most successful bands ever [thats something you can't argue.. think 5Million]they ARE PEOPLE! I find this devistating, since I believe that they are a very talented vocal group, who are still very capable of coming back to the top. I think it is unfair to compare them to other bands and their success, since there are many talented artists who also deserve credit. The spotlight has simply drifted off of them, and focused on a more popular band. However, I wish the best, and hope to see them do very well in 2003 upon their next release. As for the boys, I think that they should continue to work together and be supportive, instead of taking a selfish turn. It upset me that Kevin critisized the Black and Blue album, and that Nick has lost their support, due to a decision which could be beneficial to his career choice. It really seems that things will continue to go down hill from here, if they continue this way. I learned that even though BSB isnt in the spotlight right this second everyone still loves them enough to put in their two cents about the article. And that to me shows that we all still very much respect and love BSB and they're music. They took a break because they were tired. Some times you just gotta sit back and rest. Hey it's better then burn-out! They also mentioned that A.J going to rehab destroyed their image. Well think about. At least he admited he had a problem and did something about it. If he didn't tell everyone there would of been romurs about it and eventually everyone would of found out. Then the media would of said "BSB lies to there fans." I think A.J handled it well and from me I have nothing but respect for him." I'm glad for BSB that they have been able to hang on for so long and survive the neverending battle between themselves and *NSYNC. BSB even made it into the Guniess Book of World Records for the album "Millennium". They have gone through a lot of problems and al least have kept there fans up to date with what has been going on and not been afraid to admit them. I think one thing that people don't realize is the they guys are human too and will at times tend to make mistakes like the rest of us. We have to understand that and support them anyway we can. I believe that eventhough they are doing seperate projects, doesn't mean that they are thinking of breaking up. Look at Lance from *NSYNC, he's trying to go up in space, and there's been no news of *NSYNC breaking up, so I don't understand why people are constantly always picking on BSB.
