I am glad to see that most BSB fans are keeping the faith for the boys! Nick's solo career is a move he feels he needs to make now, so who's to say he's wrong,it may be too late to try it later and than you wonder what if. I know it will all work out for the best, don't worry. I like his new single and think it will do well, especially with the BSB fans backing him 100%. I don't give any credit to the articles about in fighting among BSB, yes they fight and get mad with each other, who doesn't but that's a far cry from being mad enough to break up. I agree that BSB needs this next album to do well. If it does they will get to finish their contractual obligations, if it doesn't do well the record company may end the relationship prematurely. So when it's released, KBSPA!! Black & Blue was a very good album, but lacked the promotional push and I agree the Call, Shining Star or Get Another Boyfriend should have been the 1st single. They needed a release with a beat like Backstreet's Back or Larger than Life. Unfortunately, their creative idea to go around the world to promote the album wasn't really supported as it should have been, except by MTV. I loved the BSB concerts(all 3). And I think AJ absolutely has to do a solo album, it would be awesome!! If he doesn't it will be a shame to not let the world hear that beautiful voice!! BSB will eventually take the time to have children and have a "normal" life. Brian & Kevin have stated that they want to postpone starting a family until they can be home to raise the kids. That's how it should be and N'Sync hasn't reached that point yet but it will happen to them also. My last point is that I totally agree with those who say that BSB is more talented than Nsync (not that it's Nsync's fault, it's not) It's the fault of the music industy slimes that play these games and pit the groups against each other in the media light in order to get high ratings or high album sales. They could care less who's out there making the money, as long as the money keeps rolling in. None of us are in that business and have no idea what pressures artists are up against when making decisions about their careers. Remember, they are 5 awesomely, talented guys who can all sing individually let along perfectly harmonize as a group and that fact alone beats out any no talent show business puppets with temporary high record sales, hands down!!!

The Backstreet boys are not over. People need to realize also that BSB did not lose fans because A.J. went into rehab or b/c Kev and Brian got married. Fans supported and still support A.J. People also need to realize that you can not just sell a mag. by putting N'Sync [Lip'Sync] on the cover like most do. HELLO PEOLPE! BSB is still here, they are still strong. If anyone feels diff. talk to a fan. I think that their concerts were pretty full too. And my concert was on Rosh Hashana and one week after 9/11. BSB came in with "Everybody" and won't leave untill the fans sayso. Not when writters say so. KTBSPA~!

I started likeing backstreety boys 4 years ago when I was 9 (I am now 13). I thought they were the greatest thing that walked the earth.All my parents said was ''someday you'll hate them'' and all I did was ignore them. Well I am not crazy about them like I usewd to be but I still like them and their music and I also think Nick is hot! I couldnt ever stand N'Sync! I thougth they were wierdos and copycxatters! Backstreet has faded now cuz of having Brian and kev married already and A.j being inrehab and now engaged leaving only 2 of them single and the way its going Howie and Nick are gonna go fast! I will nevermake fun of A.J and his decisoion to go to rehab. I personally think it was a good one! He needed help we all do I mean he might be famous have tons of money cars a huge house and Good looks to die for but inside he is a real person! And to all people that dissed him for ''4get you''!Kevin and bRIAN were in love they are normal they were gonna get married someday! I was talking to a girl and she said she didnt like them no more cuz of them getting married. That pi**** me off!But anyway Backstreet boys are fading maybe not Nick maybe he will be succseful with his new solo albumbut maybe Justin will and he will suck who knows. It is a big sacrafise! I will buy Nick's album and any new album that BSB as a group put out! If Nick leaves the band I will loose alot of respect for him!!!! But BSB are cool and they came out with alot of good songs! The backstreet boys have to grow up. They cannot just be teen bops forever. They have thier own style and currently working on the new album. If they say they are not breaking up then they are not. They have always been honest with their fans. They are trying a new sound or approach to their music. They have the music that parents do not have to worry about their kids listening to. They have the clean sound. (not like Emenim and Marilyn Manson. Emeniem has an album about hanging and urination It is filty white trash)So Nick is doing a solo album and other projects..that does not mean they are breaking up.

I've got a question : What if the BSB really break the records AGAIN with their new cd and Nick really beats out Justin, but the media SAY that they didn't and we have the whole B&B thing again? And WHY does everyone think Nsync is so good, and not breaking up? Lance Bass is going to OUTER SPACE people!!!!!! And Justin's doing a solo thing 2. ANd people r disn our boys? That gets annoying after a while. No matter what the media duz 2 the Backstreet Boys (Lord bless them)we should be thankful that we have their music and the guys have stuck through all this. If the Backstreet Boys really ARE reading this: I've been one oof ur biggest fans since I was 7 years old, and I'll always be a fan no matter what. Thank you so much for sticking through this. BSB IS fading..anyone can see it. "Chapter One" debuted at FOUR the first week, selling less than 200,000 copies. I was stunned when i saw the mtv show on the billboard charts. I was like "WHAAA????? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" You can't expect them to stay on top forever. THey reached the top, and now they have to come down. Ever heard the saying "What goes up, must come down?" Name one thing that goes up and doesnt come down (besides your age). Personally, I wish that that saying weren't true. I wish they COULD stay on top always, cuz ya know everyone wants their favorite band to be number one. But look at the bright side. Nsync is disappearing too, right? Yeah. they sold 1.88 copies of Celebrity the first week, as opposed to their 2.4 million of No strings attached. and they slipped to number two the second week. poo on them. and by the way, jessica--they sold FIVE million copies the first week, not FOUR. One million is a bigg difference.

I am sorry but NSYNC had it easy they had the doors kicked down for them by the BACKSTREET BOYS and that thing about not giving BSB a break so instead of booking them they say we will book NSYNC that is crap (don't get me wrong NSYNC is OK)And BSB did take control of their music after they got away from Lou Pearlman. I don't think leighanne caused problems between BRIAN and the guys it is just the fact that he got married and grew up(not saying Nick or everyone else didn't).Only getting married sometimes changes things. And I don't care what anyone says about me I love BSB's music it is great, and nsync is ok, but i really prefer BSB though. About the only thing in that whole article i agree with is that BSB started TRL,Teen People, and ALL the POP sensations ( I don't care what anyone says it is TRUE!!!!!) This is my opinion if you don't like it I am sorry for you!!

I honestly dont think we have anything to worry about, the reporter is just doing what the boys have always done---being honest--- and i think is great, im sure the boys have lots of good surprises for us, we just have to hold on and see.

I think the article was honest, but it sounded like bsb was breaking up. Nick has stated many times that he isn't leaving the group, it is just a side project. This article seems like he is leaving. We all know that he isn't leaving and that bsb isn't breaking up, but an someone less knowing of bsb may read this article and think that it is true. People need to be more carefull how they state certain things or they can give the wrong impression. Anyways BSB is the best! I can't wait for Nick's cd and bsb new cd to come out. They may not be in the limelight now, but they will be when their new cd is out.

Read the liner notes-BSB do not produce their songs, doesn't mean they couldn't, Nsync just took a greater interest in producing their songs first. Nsync is the first white act in over ten years to chart on the R&B charts and BET-and not just Girlfriend w/ Nelly, Gone charted high too. So to say they sing cheesy pop songs makes you very uninformed. I don't care whether you all hate Nsync-the point is that BSB need to take control and develop more. Maybe the reason we all knock Nsync (because they are really just JC and Justin) is why they work so well. It's easier for two people to manage a group then five-especially if they are very different. Nobody said they shouldn't get married they said that Leighanne was causing problems. How many sources do you people need to hear it from to realize she is. A lot of what I liked about BSB was Nick and Brian and their friendship (Frick and Frack) -since she came around the guys always seem strained together. It has nothing to do with growing up and having the right to be married, she just seem to cause a wedge between Brian and the guys. What kind of wife does that to her husband and his friends/group?

People, lots of groups still make records even though they are not on TRL or on the radio stations that only play the top 5 songs over and over again. Who cares if Nick is doing a solo album. It's been done before. The boys are grown-up and finally taking control.

I totally agree with Emily's point of view concerning the boys being up front and honest with their fans. I'm 28 and have been a fan since I was about 21 and one of the things that I've loved about them aside from the music is the fact that they make no attempt to hide anything. What would be the point. Sooner or later, the truth comes out. It's better to have it come out on your own terms.

Why is everyone so against the article? I'm a devoted fan, and I was very glad to read the article. I didn't find one part of the article insulting or degrading to any one of the Boys. The article has shed a lot of light onto the recent events the Boys have been through, and has provided us fans with a lot of logical explanations of what has been going on. Everyone is getting so upset with this reporter...he's doing his job--reporting this story in a very unbiased matter. I think it's the best article about the Boys I've ever read.

First of all! I like Nick's new single and I still consider myself a fan even though I'm going into my 20's. I may not be a huge fan as I was but I'm still a fan. These guys have been part of my life as I grew so I just can't say "oh they are out of my life now."

I think the article shows that bad things happen to good people. Yes, the boys worked very hard to get to where they are today and not everything in life comes easy. What's written shows that the boys worked their asses off and some cruel man decided he didn't like it anymore or whatever his lame reason was and that he was going to try to descruct them. Obviously it didn't work, but it still makes everyone mad. (with the exception of nsync) I believe in BSB and I think they deserve all they've earned. Not everybody is perfect but i'll tell u they are damn near close. BSB will not fall to the level of disguist that others have. They will rise and we'll be there when they do. But for now, don't believe everything u hear and see about them AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CRITICIZE ANY OF THEM FOR WHAT THEY DO. Nick's new tattoo is his decision. I personally would never do that but I am not him and I will not hate him or hate ON him for doing it. Same goes for the four other hottiez.
