The guys have touched my heart so many times. I know I said it already and Ill say it again and again to prove people wrong. To show that as long as we fans stick together the guys will be fine. I never realized all those things went on. I did realize they had some trouble with Pearlman and their record label...but all the stuff inbetween that was incredible. Seems they have had it a little rough lately. As for this whole thing with Nick Carter it makes me not feel very nice towards him. He came into this band and now he is leaving. He was always my favorite when I was younger..but not anymore. How can he leave this band?? He has been with them for so long. I don't think he should have a solo career, I don't even think he should be a singer, it's not like he has the greates voice in the world. Lately I have been saying I thought BSB would be better with out Nick music wise, and it looks like that may happen! Now considering he is the "heart throb" of the band I don't know if it will do good for their image and they may lose some fans that were more in it for Nick. For those people that don't understand how ruthless the music industry can be, it should be a real learning experience. BSB has become the success they have by sheer determination and talent. Anyone who says the boys don't have talent, is either uneducated or jealous. Those boys have poured their heart and soul into everything they do whether it's right or wrong. All because they love what they do. I'm like everyone else. I can hardly wait for the new album to come out. If everyone will stop and think, the boys have said many times that they're always being asked if the band is going to break up. These guys have been around each other for about 10 years. They're bound to have disagreements, arugements, whatever. Everyone had better start worrying if no one asks that question anymore. Nick having a solo album does not mean he's leaving the band. The poor boy was so young when he started, he's just got a lot of ideas in mind and soul in his heart that he has to get it out. This is a good avenue for him right now. The other guys are all equally talented and could all do solo albums if they want. None of this means they're going to break up. If they were, they'd say so. They've been honest with the fans from the start. I think BSB is going to be around for a long time as long as they're fans support them, love them and their music. I'm a 48 year old grandmother that's heard a lot of rock and roll in my years. I've had friends in the industry and understand what the music business is like (only on a much smaller scale). These guys deserve our love, our loyalty and appreciation for giving us some fantastic music. I hope their new album sells through the roof just to prove to everyone that they're not washed up. I know I'll be in line the day they go on sale. I appreciate them for who they are and the talent they have and I can hardly wait for the upcoming years to see what new and exciting ideas they come up with. There was a comment in the Rolling Stone (I don't know which one, but it was recent) that no reporter would have the courage to diss any successful band, except for the BSB. I think that's true. They have been put down, and pushed around, and they still come back and make great music. No, I haven't been there since the beginning, I really only became a huge fan after I took my daughter to the B&B concert last year. WOW! Since then I have bought a lot of their videos, CD's etc. If anyone wants to see just how talented they are, watch "a night out with the backstreet boys". Its old, but it shows what they can do without the glitzy dance routines, flashing lights, and all the other. Its the five of them in an acoustic set. I made my husband watch it with me... his comment? "Hey, those guys really are talented." That says alot right there, since he had been dismissing them with the rest of the boy bands. I can't wait to hear the new album. I think they have gotten better and better with each album, and B&B is my favorite. The songs that they wrote, or collaborated on are the best. The truth is that they have gone through alot just like alot of other people in this industry. Alright if a band is starting out and needs some directing but a band that has been out for 9 years. They have seen it all. And being asked to postpone a possible life changing/saving surfury for a tour? So what if Brian and Kevin got married....People do that kinda thing. A.J. checked into rehab...Stuff like that happens everyday too. Nick trying to expand his horizons by going solo...Could be a good thing, but even he wouldn't know until he's tried. And the recording industry is like the retail industry that I work in...Always has it's good stores and good things. After a while, they loose some character, but as they re-invent themselves, some good does come out of it. You've just gotta hang in there and see what happens after all the dust settles.
