'Ya know, Mia, the only reason there is hard feelings between the guys and Nick is because Nick decided to be managed by BSB's old managment, whom the guys felt were treating them unfairly. By agreeing to stay with them for the solo album, Nick really hurt the point his bandmates were trying to make. None of the guys have anything against Nick making a solo album.

OK. I'm going to explain to all of you how sales are tallied. Soundscan and the RIIA (recording industry association) are independant organizations that track record sales. But you all have to understand the difference between sales and shipments. An example: Black and Blue shipped 8 million units to record stores and chains, making it 8 times platinum. It did not sell 8 million copies though. It sold almost 5 million. When a big album comes out stores request higher amounts (like B&B) but sometimes it backfires and they end up with too many copies that aren't selling like they thought it would. This is what happened with Black and Blue and why the media and music industry consider it a dissapointment. Most groups would kill to sell five million records, but in comparison to Millenium, B&B lost about 50 percent of sales. As for Nsync bribing Soundscan-that's a stupid lie. Everytime a cashier swipes a record it's registered. Now for the rest of the world their is no Sounscan system, so when the BSB claimed to sell 5 million copies of B&B the first week, they really meant they shipped 5 million to record stores. They did not SELL five million copies. They later clarified this. I hate when a lot of you are dishonest about the record sales just to try and have BSB "beat" NSYNC. BSB need to focus on how to improve their own music and record sales. Nsync has nothing to do with them. They have pursued a hip-hop/R&B sound to great success. Now BSB need to find a new sound. Max Martin is pretty much over. As for them being so "classy"- is that really a good thing? There is nothing wrong with being edgy and unpredictable, especially if you are still making great music. Theirs a thin line between classy and boring. BSB are playing it safe it too many areas and its hurting their careers. And the reason the media doesn't say NSYNC is breaking up is because despite all the separate things they do they still hang out with each other. Even though Justin is busy with his solo cd he made it a point to fly in and hang out with JC for JC's suprise birthday part. This gets me upset because when was the last time we heard of Brian and Nick hanging out? All we hear is how much Brian resents Nicks solo album. BSB need to fix their frienships with each other and the rest will fall into place. But we cant pretend that nothings wrong.

I know this may sound crazy but I'd never heard the Backstreet Boys's music till 2 months ago when on the radio I heard the most beautifull song I've ever heard in my whole life it was- back to your heart-.It brought tears to my eyes as I drove down the crowed highway - It made me think about my ex husband.I knew what I had to do the next day I called him and we've been together ever since.I would have never called him if it wasnt for that song.THat song is the reason i am alive because that day i was planing on killing myself.THank you and god bless.I cant imagine what i would have done if i hadnt heard that song.

This is my first time on this site since high school three years ago. By the way, love the site, love the Boys, hate the message board. What a complete waste of space, time and energy. Who reads all that crap anyways...and Justine from Annaheim, CA, get a life....it's incredible how often your name appears...So, yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say.

Hey again guyz. You know what? NSYNC bribed jive into saying that they sold more records in the first week than bsb . Nsync knows, bsb even knows..some nsync fans probly know too, their just too intimaidated by bsb/fans. So yeah..bsb actually did sell more than nsync..almost duble. So theres da truth. Aniways, lets just support da boys. Request da songs n shit. buy da albums..ad go to da concerts..go crazy..in ajs words:let em scream!!

Yes Im a guy and for that reason Brian and kevin getting married and Aj soon to be hasnt affected me, like some of my fellow femmale bsb fans. I noticed that their albumbs sales have gone down since kevin and brian got married. Millenium had sold 12 million like backstreet boys but black and blue sold only 8 million. There are alot of people who liked bsb just for their image, but this doesnt mean we are all like that. I also think that bsb coming up front with what happend to aj and the incident with nick shows people that they are human and they do make mistakes. I apreciate them even more for doing that. Ive been a huge fan since they came out here in the U.S. and gone to their concerts. I hope that nicks solo career wont be the end of bsb as a group, but if it is (God forbide) bsb would still be around doing other things in the public. Bsb have been around for 10 years and that makes some people think is time for them to go away, but as long as they stay true to their fans we will love them no matter what. I truly love bsb and hope that God leads them the right way to continue as a group and continue to bring us all those songs we love so much.

i kno music is all about talent and just bein happy with it, but every1 knows its more than that. i don't want to put n'sync and bsb head to head or anythin, but it just seems unfair that n'sync is more popular now, when a lot of the girls only like how they look. (i think bsb is hot and everythin, but i first got hooked on them when i heard them on the radio in '97 and i didn't even kno they existed up till that point) does any1 kno who or what compnay is the one that is supposesd to tally up all the record sales. PLZ, READ AND HELP ME OUT. who are the ppl who actually decide how many records do artists and bands sell? i really wanna write a letter to them, askin if maybe they should include the worlds sales in the first week's sales, b/c them bsb and nick would def. beat n'sync. AGAIN, I DON'T WANNA SOUND LIKE A N'SYNC HATER, B/C I'M NOT, I JUST DON'T LIKE THEM B/C THEY'RE STEALIN THE SPOTLIGHT. if anyone knows, plz post them here or email me at livinginadream12@yahoo.com. thank u so much, and if any1 likes my idea, maybe we could all work 2gether. i sound way too serious rite now. just kinda tired and i just read the new comments about which single is better ,nick's or justin's at www.mtv.com/news and a lot of ppl said they liked nick's better. just feelin kinda down rite now, all about bein a teenager huh? whatever, ktbspa, and keep on requestin!!!!!!

when i read the article in the paper it made me feel like it was saying the backstreet boys are over.. and they arent, their fans are still the way they were and as long as you have your fans you still go on. they were here first and have more class than *nsync.. and its nice to see that.. with all they have been through they have survived the test.. and they must still go on.. and they will! they have been here this long they cant stop now. many people are supporting them and they will make it through these tough times and this next album will put them back on top!

The fans make the band. We make a band popular or we don't. It'a all up to us and if us BSB fans are still around our boys still popular and deserve to be respected. That writer and his malicious statements shouldn't affect us. Backstreet fans are the strongest and supportive group out there. We shut down Times Square as stated earlier, helped Millenium rise as a hit album, and many other things that we all know. The Boys were even compared to the Beatles. They all have immense talent and true BSB fans feel all this in their hearts so let's keep doing what we can to support them such as requesting songs on stations and as soon as the new CD comes buy it on the first day and beat N'SYNC's record. That will truly show our power, love and support. The author didn't know what kind of group and their fans he's messing with.

"LARGER THAN LIFE" call your radio staions/email. Remember when it was backstreet tv, the bsb fans shut down times square. And when it was backstreet tv and some caller called in and asked aj to show off his new dragon tattoo, and he did. Remember those feelings we had when we would hear each song every day. Well it's time we stoped slacking off and started to get back on track. Just because nick won the survival of the sexiest doesn't mean we have to stop supporting our guys. CoME ON!

REQUEST "LARGER THAN LIFE", this is for our boys. We claim to love them, but when we don't request a song 10000000 times then it wont get played and the bsb are getting laughed at.

BSB has are not in the same league as nsync they are classier. It might be the same genre but BSB just have that stage presence that grabs you. They dress great on stage.I love when they put on their suits.I have never been to a concert but I have all their videos and I watch a different one each day when I work out.The music gets me going. Their songs are their own and they are much more mature songs then nsync. These guys know what they are doing. They have minds of their own and they are continuing to bring great music into our living rooms.I am a 40 year old woman and I can't get enough of these guys.I have hung around bands since I was 15 yrs. old and I know a good tune when I hear one and BSB has got alot and I mean alot of them.Like the article says all new bands sign a raw deal.BSB got right in there and learned like everyone else and stood up for themselves.I happen to like their older music.I am looking forward to their new cd.I know it will be a good one.Let's not lose perspective here.It might or might not sell as many as millennium or black and blue but!,it will sell and it will be good. They can only get better.Like the saying goes:you get better with age. Those people who rate the music don't know good music when they hear it.Remember it is the audience, the fans that count when it comes to buying and liking a group. They are doing something right.I praise these guys for being so honest.I commend them for coming forward and letting their fans know what was happening behind the scenes.Besides Howie is my soul mate but he dosen't know it yet because he hasn't met me.BSB pride.Hopefully I will be able to attend their concert when the new album comes out. They have alot of fans it is really hard to get a good ticket for their concerts.Keep up the great work and always stay as honest and sincere as you are.
