I've seen the BSB in concert twice, and I consider myself very lucky to have done so. I paid $60 per seat for the first show *balcony seats* and $70 per seat for the second show *balcony seats* I logged onto their official site, and read that tickets for an August show were going on sale the very next day. So, I paid the $28 to join the online fanclub, because supposedly members get to buy tickets before they go on sale to the public. The next day, I got on line, to order tickets, and couldn't believe my eyes when I read that they were selling for $125 *lower balcony* It's ridiculous! What's even more ridiculous, is the fact that they sold out in 3 minutes flat! I admit, I would've paid it, but my computer froze, and I wasn't able to reload the page in time. I can understand the increase in prices because first, they know the fans will pay it, and secondly, for any of you who have seen a show recently, you know it's a good show, with lots of special affects, so it is expensive to put on. But, someone needs to do something, complain or whatever, to the guys, and tell them that we cannot afford the prices.

Hey..Well let me start by saying I can see both sides of this issue. My problem is this..When I bought 4 tickets to the Greenville,SC show during the BSB Fan Club presale I paid 85 a ticket plus surcharges. Well, now the same floor seats are listed for 58.50 plus surcharges. What is the deal with that? Why am I paying 85 being a fan club member and others who got them on the regular sale day only paying 58.50? That doesnt make sense to me..If anyone else has any information to clear this up, please let me know..I thought maybe some of it was being contributed to the charities which I wouldnt have a problem with. Thanks for listening..

I agree completley with you A Typical BSB Fan. I've tried telling people that if they keep paying those prices for the tickets they will never go down! Because if they see how much people will pay for them they aren't gonna lower them! But if you dare complain about the prices people start telling you that if were a true fan you would pay anything to see them. Urrrggggggg... that makes me mad! I can't go to their second leg of their tour either. :*( I remember the last time BSB went to Denver they said that they want to keep the ticket prices down so fans can afford it. It doesn't sound like they kept their promise!

Ok..I can't believe that you are comparing Billy Idol & Elton John tickets to BSB! I'm sorry..but BSB is NOT the same as BI&EJ! Ok.. all of you that say you do not regret buying the tickets..please don't get mad at me, and I understand why you are saying that. But you're the ones who are basically saying to SFX and BSB "Go ahead, raise the prices, I'll pay ANY AMOUNT to see my boys..it's worth it!" Who knows..next time it could be $250!!! Are you going to pay that? Probably the ones that can, will, well..guess who isn't...ME! It's not that I don't want to..but I can't :*( I'm not going to this tour either..and you're going to say..go get the bad seats, yea I thought about that too, until I just got too upset and I am not giving them any money, it's not that fair that I have to get the junky seats if I don't have or am not willing to pay $125! I'm sorry, but it hurts, I've been a big fan for a long time, but now it's too expensive that my parents and I can't afford that for a 2-3 hr concert..and you guys make it so it's raised more, so people like me CAN'T go..and don't you dare say "well..if people like you can't get tix than I get a better chance of getting better seats!" I've seen that..and I felt soooooo disgusted. Please stop them in raising the prices.. :****(

Ok.. I am sick and tired of this..I'm not going to the concert..and I am upset. I had won tickets, the station took them away from me because of some rule, and that was 3 wks after the tickets sold out, and my parents wouldn't have let me buy them anyways, because they are too expensive! And let me tell you..maybe if the price shooting up to like $125 a ticket is not directly put against BSB, BSB knows..and if they don't care, that's just not right.. Sarah is right, they are becoming sell outs, I'm sorry to tell all of you the truth, but they are, and unfortunatly most singers/artists let themselves sell out. I just wanted you to hear this from a BSB fan myself..and I hope you listen to me. Because I know you are all true BSB fans, but I believe that the truest BSB fans are the ones that care about other fans as well, meaning the rich and the ones who can't shell out $125 per ticket to a CONCERT! People, please put your heads on straight, this world is screwed up already, especially with money, I mean look at gas prices..cars, and everything else. But does BSB have to add to it? I mean *NSYNC didn't raise their prices that much (I do think that $65.50 is expensive as well, but not even half of $125!), and they are just as big..I'm sorry I am a fan of both, I'm sorry if that offends you, but that is NOT the point here, the point is we should really stop buying tickets, and let BSB know that it's NOT fair! There is NO excuse for this, and thank you for letting me post my point.

alright...where should i start? gas prices are high. 3.00$ by end of this month?!?
ya that's crazy, but i'm not here to talk bout gas... 1st of all bsb are crazy... i love
them and y'all can say I'M crazy and I'M not a real fan and all that other sh*t, i don't
really care cuz i know in some ways i'm RIGHT. 90$ for a ticket. i don't care if u r a
filthy rich person it's not right. it makes me angry... hello?!? wake up everyone time 4 a
reality check! congrats half of the bsb fans have been brain-washed! hey i was one of 'em!
My fellow fans, i know, u know, and hell THEY know it! BsB KNOWS they have good fans...
bsb knows we'd pay anything to go see them... so they go out and think, (what i'm about
to say might offend a "REAL" fan) "lets increase are prices..we can be even richer cuz our
fans are so brain-washed we could get any amount of cash from dem.."
they're sell-outs.... ya they do sell out fast too. i'll be the first person to admitt this, most likely,
but Black and Blue tour was 1/4 as good as millennium tour. and the millennium tour cost me
1/4 of the prices. lets face it.... i came to realize something..to them each and every one of us
fans are just a big money bag to them! they seem like great guys and don't get me wrong they
probably are, but don't u think bsb's heads are growing just a little bit big?
once again go ahead and send me your "hate" mail about how "unloyal" i am, and blah blah blah.
but who's really being un loyal here? me or bsb?

So far I've been to 2 BSB concerts, 3 if you count Aj's "Johnny No-Name" concert.
They all were great.. for under $60. This year, for the show in Illinois, I paid
$85... for some shitty seats. I guess it pissed me off a little, but I figure
Hey, its not bsb's fault. The show is def. worth while, even if they do look like
tiny little figurines. What I really don't understand is why BSB has been to Cali
8 times this tour, and didn't even come to Wisconsin once? Sure Cali is huge, but
they could of at least come to WI once. I gotta travel 4 hours down to Tinley Park, IL
to see them... which is another big amount of $ for gas. So sure, they can explain
the ticket prices.. gotta pay for everyone. But they need to realize that they have fans
everywhere.. and whats the need to go to Cali that many times? Wisconsin isn't that big,
but it still has the biggest fans too. I still love em though, and I'm not mad that I
have to go see them.. but the 'rents are. Can't wait to sees Aj's sexy body.
*More than that* premieres tomorrow!! I love you guys, ktbspa

In Dec. of 2000, My friend and I went to buy BSB tickets, it cost us $190.25 for 3 tickets in Section 122, this time around, my friend bought two(2) tickets, in the section 113, and it cost her $220, i personally think that is OUTRAGOUS! But, i would buy them! It is definitley worth it. But yes, the price has gone to an outragous amount

Ya know, I was just thinking about this question the other day. I know that ticket prices seem high. And I guess I can see both sides of the issue. On the one side, I have spent more money on the two BSB concerts I've been too (well, one that I've been to and one that I'm going to) than I have on my family in the last couple of Christmas's. It's ironic to me that we are willing to spend hundreds of dollars to sit in seats so far away the guys will never even know we are there. We're just contributing money that we could spend on the people we do know to five guys that will never even know we're alive.

However, part of me - the part that I always end up listening to - says that the guys won't be touring forever (at least as much) so I should jump in now and see them while I can. I have bills to pay and other people to think about, but I'm enjoying it while I can at whatever cost neccessary. Call me crazy - I think I am - but I love BSB that much!

The prices for BSB do cost a lot of money. But it is TOTALLY worth it. I went to their concert in Birmingham, AL on the 'MILLENIUM' tour. My step-mom bought 8 tickets because we took my cousins with us. It wasn't that bad of price for 8 tickets I guess. They were a little over $300.00! But it was a FANTASTIC show!!! KTBSPA!!!!!

I have been a BIG BSB fan since early 1996 and I will be attending my first concert in June b/c of the insane prices of tickets! I paid $250 for two tickets for the June 15th show, which I think is crazy, but I happen to have the money and jumped into it before they sold out. I guess I shouldn't fuss, at least I got tickets, but they're still too high! KTBSPA.

ticket prices are totally insane!!! but, I would, and did pay whatever I have to, to go to their concert. I don't think it's really fair however that ALL tickets besides a few sections cost the same. Unfortunatly, ottawa ticks sold out fast and I got poor seats, but they still cost me $110.00, that made me a little mad that I could have got really good seats for that price but I got crapy one for the same. I don't care that I got crapy seats, as long as I'm there, well that's my opinion on tickets, KTBSPA

I have been a loyal BSB fan for many years. I have had the oppportunity to see them in concert 4 times (June 9th will be my 5th) and attend many charity events. When I went to the Tampa, Florida show 12/20/98 the price on my ticket was 30 dollars. The other concerts were only 40 and 50 dollars apiece. I do not have a problem paying that much at all. I think that is very resonable for the show they put on. And yes, I do believe that ticket prices should increase , but little by little. From last year's tour to this years the ticket prices have doubled. My cousin and I each paid over a hundred dollars for our tickets to see them this year. Niether I nor my cousin have jobs or any other type of constant income. As we become older I have no doubt in my mind we are no longer the biggest fans they have. But you see, me and my cousin have seen them at least once a year ever since 1998. Not gong to this year's show would mean braking that streak....and that was something we could not let happen. Tickets for my show went on sale shortly after my birthday and if it had not been for birthday money, there would have been no way I would have been able to afford the ticket. To wrap this up: I think the boys need to realize that even though their fanbase is growing to people of older ages, they still have young fans who can not afford a hundred dollar ticket and most parents just don't have a hundred dollars laying around to spend on whatever, especially a concert ticket. But on the other hand....do I regret paying the $106.00? Absolutly not!!!

I agree with you jennifer, you really do have a point. I personally don't have a HUGE problem about the tickets..cause I know I'm gonna end up payin' the money anyway, cause I AM a huge fan. All I said is look at it from people who are less fortunate..that's all. And everybody..don't get all pissed at me sayin' what I think is wrong, cause I'm not sayin' the people that say the tickets aren't expensive are wrong because I agree with you.

I realize that many of you may not be old enough to understand this, but let's look at it this way. when you work at the same job every single day for eight years, you expect your boss to give you a raise ... right or wrong? hopefully, you all said right. it's just what is fair. so here we have the backstreet boys who have been working the same job every day for eight years, and guess what? raising ticket prices is the only way for them to get their much deserved raise ... yes or no? anyone who says no is obviously not as big of a fan as they claim to be because if they were, they would understand that the backstreet boys work their butts of for the fans. they deserve a little extra money. aside from that, their actual tour is more expensive to put on than most of you realize. some of the money they make from tickets goes to them, but it also has to go to their bus drivers, their dancers, their management, their record company, the venue, their hotel costs, etc. I can guarantee you that they are upset over the fact that some of their best fans will not be able to purchase tickets, but what are they supposed to do? you pay $20 for a ticket, you get a $20 show, you know what I mean? if they never raised the cost of their tickets, they would go bankrupt trying to put on a show good enough for the most wonderful fans in the world.

To everyone who thinks the tickets are expensive:
Somebody went to the Billy Idol and Elton John concert and the simple floor ticket
was over 200$.(seat was around row 30)
So BSB tickets have amazing price compare to the concert above!
U get much bigger show...............for less...................

I dont really think the tickets are that expensive. The backstreet boys have been here 3 times , the first time i couldnt get tickets , for the millenium concert i payed $150 for my tickets but i bought them from a small ticket place not the original distributer , For the black and blue concert i payed $180.00 and i bought them off ebay , i had good seats for both , so i dont really care cause they are worth it and i know they put alot into the show to make us happy .Oh and by the way i dont really care if Nsuck (oops did i meant *nsync) has lower ticket prices or not cause they are just wannabes anyway.

I agree with you guys...this is crazy. I mean, don't get me wrong, i love the boys to death..but paying so much for even ONE ticket is more than I expected. I got tickets for their summer part of the Black & Blue tour..but..I still am a little upset over the fact that I'm spendin' $85 a ticket..i know that might not seem much to some people, but to me? It is. Why is it that they have to charge so much for their FANS to come see them..we're the ones who keep them going. And like I said before, i love the guys, i'd do anything for them..you just have to look at it from other people's point of views. Here's an example, say that this girl..loves them a lot, just loves everything about the guys, but can't afford enough money to go see them? That makes her wonder are the boys really try to make their fans happy? I'm sorry if I upset anybody over that, but don't get pissed at me for statin' my opinion..please? Oh, one more thing, if any of you say the show is not worth it(which I'm sure none of you would say)..well ya know what? The show IS worth it

~Much love to the boys~
