What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

I had their "Smooth" single, and I almost broke it in half, instead I gave it to my dad!I went around school today with an I hate Santana sticker on me! Submitted by Holly from Cincinnati Ohio USA Date: Thu Feb 24 21:56:19 2000 okay i am not even going to lie i am so bitter about last night. i was so sick of santana even before the actual show had started. good god i mean so he had good year but i give most of the credit to rob thomas not santana himself. anyways i was most upset about album of the year award going to him. hello he had one single and the backstreet boys had several, millennium broke all kinds of records sale, was the top seller of the year, etc, etc. i would bet my tixs to the indianapolis concert that if they werent a "boyband" that record of the year would have gone to them. it just shows how corrupt the music business can be. there is no justification for santana taking that award. some of the others i do believe he derserved (record of the year) yet come on by the end i was just praying someone other than him would win. did anyone notice that all his songs were with other artists, not solo-just further proving the old man can't hack it. i totally loved the performances (especially "I'll make love to you-they can sing that anytime they want!!!) and it was cool to see them with such a great musician such as elton.
