What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

GRAMMY'S ARE YEARLY AND EVERY YEAR IT CHANGES. I AM NOT A FAN OF SANTANA. I LOVE THE BACKSTREET BOYS AS MUCH AS EVERYONE ELSE. I WILL REMEMBER THE BOYS FOR THEIR MUSIC AND VIDEOS RATHER THAN HOW MANY GRAMMY'S THEY WIN. BACKSTREET BOYS ARE ONE OF MY FAVOURITES. I WON'T MENTION MY OTHER FAVOURITE SINGER, 'CAUSE MOST OF YOU WON'T KNOW WHO HE IS. I FIND THE GRAMMY'S BIASED, BECAUSE THEY DON'T MAKE ROOM TO HAVE OTHERS IN OTHER GENRE'S PERFORM. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE SOME OF THE CONTEMPORARY JAZZ BANDS PLAY. THE BEST PERFORMANCE WAS BSB AND ELTON JOHN AND THE BOYS. EVERYONE ELSE KINDA SUCKED! I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE CHRISTIAN CONTEMPORARY ROCK ARTISTS PERFORM. I THINK MADONNA SHOULD HAVE SANG SOMETHING FROM HER 80'S ALBUMS. WHITNEY TOO!!! Before you start making comments like that, know what the hell your talking about. Santana is one of the most influential artists that ever lived. Hes has had decades of incredible music and had never gotten any recognition. He is also one of the greatest guitar players that ever lived. This was his year. Unfortunatley for the Backstreet Boys( who probably would of won everything if it wasn't for Santana) they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was personally rooting for Santana, BSB and Limp Bizkit. Don't worry, BSB(and Limp Bizkit(I did it all for the nookie!)) will sweep the Grammys next year. I LOVE KEVIN!! Sure it's great that Santana won *everything*, but I heard that the Grammy peeps really like comebacks and that they thought that our Boys were just an overnight sensation! Obviously someone has not been doing their homework. I also heard that the Grammy peeps said that at the same time next year Santana will be gone, but so will our Boys!!!! I don't think so! Anyway did anyone see Rosie O'Donnell's show today. BSB totally dissed 'N Stync! It was so cool. See, 'N Sync were interviewing peeps for Rosie and when they tried to get BSB, our Boys totally ignored them. Only Kevin turned around to look at them and then BSB walked off!!! Go BSB!!! First of all, BSB wasn't in any of the pre-shows except for E! because they were some of the last people coming in. I was so angry cuz when I changed it to E! I realized that I had missed some of the time when they talked. E! were the only ones who got to talk to them cuz they were closer to the red carpet entry than the other shows. VH1 had a pre-show. I knew they were closer to the Staples Center entry than E! so I changed it to VH1. I figured BSB would comeand talk. How wrong I was. I was wrong cuz VH1 was wrapping up their show like 5 minutes before the Grammys started, and BSb hadn't even made it there. While they were wrapping up, I looked for BSB and saw them heading inside. They also did not get BSB on MTV at the Grammys cuz BSB had to rush inside cuz the Grammys were starting. I will make the rest of this shorter and quicker. I was also bitter and angry cuz Santana took BSB's awards and all the other awards. I thought that he should have gotten his awards like 30 years ago so other people could win. All these things made me so angry that I was a bit disappointed in BSB when I found out online before they performed that they were doing acapella version of SMTMOBL. When I saw the perform the acapella of that first song was weird. I didn't appreciate their performance at the time but now I like it more since I saw Rosie today. I thought they should have done some fast song like LTL and had an awesome performance but it makes sense that they didn't cuz it was the Grammys. My night last night was not very good. I felt so angry and bitter about all that had happened that I threatened to turn off the TV or at least switch the channel if Christina Aguilera didn't win. I was so happy for her that it seemed like BSB had one. The reason I say that is cuz I kinda like her but not really. Those are the reasons why I was angry and bitter last night. Carlos Santana is in his fifties. he has been around for a long time. now, for such awards as record of the year, who do you think will win? a guy who has been around that long who had a hit single, or a group that has been on the charts for about 2 years and is worshipped by thousands of 14 year old girls? kinda makes sense huh? Carlos has seinority over bsb i guess you can say. one day we hope, bsb will be the old farts sweepin the grammys, if not together with their solo careers whoever chooses to go that direction. so stop blaming Santana. it is not his fault anyway. second of all, do you really expect bsb to win every single award every single time they are nominated? heck, if ya think about it it's almost good that they loose. if you win constantly, the awards you win aren't gonna seem as meaningful to you right? and you could end up with a big head about it. i don't know about you, but i don't wanna see bsb like that. so don't freakin be all depressed cause they lost. hey, at least they put on an awesome show right? totally! to wrap this up, i have only one thing left to say. i wanna say good luck to bsb even though i KNOW they will never read this. i wanna wish em luck in everything they do. award shows. brian and kevin's marrages. their careers, wherever they take em. they deserve everything they get. and they don't get handouts either in the industry. they had to work hard to get where they are. so good luck and best wishes! Get over it. I know all the record sales that the 'Boys broke. Big deal too the judges. Just because the 'Boys didn't win anything doesn't mean they aren't accepted and appericated. Have you not heard the 'Boys say its all about making music and making the Fans happy? Well are you happy when you here them sing or see them dance or when you finally get that chance to go to a meet 'n' greet? Thats all that matters. I really wish the 'Boys would have gotten an award. It would have shown them that the older audience (i.e. The rather foogie ones that actually vote.) really does love there music also. Who knows, they probably do just got out voted. So all you Backstreet Fans stop flipping out over them not winning. They aren't going away and there are still more Grammy to come! Just keep the pride alive and chill out!! P.s. Personally, I don't see what is soooooo good about Carlos Santana. I mean, all the guy does is play a stinkin guitar! He doesn't even sing one lyric! He just asks singers who ARE good to sing with him so he can be popular. And I also think that POP is overrated. I mean, sure, BSB win all the awards voted on by teens, but they have had so much success this year, how could these people overlook them? Just b/c Santana made a great comeback doesn't necessarily mean anything. I think next year these people should really think before they choose the winners. And let's just hope that they do a better job next year. I know alot of people won't agree with me, but I am a fan of all music, and well, it makes me happy to see someone who has talent like Santana winning all of those awards. It makes me extremely happy. The bsb have alot of awards to come, but Santana is probably nearing is end. He has a family, and he is amazing. I love his bass playing. Yes, I do love the BSB, and I do have my fav, but it's all good when it comes to that. I love it all.
