What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

I mean, they broke the record for the most albums sold in a week!!! Doesn't that count for anything?!?! Those Grammy voters should have thought more about their decisions!!! I don't want to sound like I'm a mean person, but Carlos Santana shouldn't have won all those awards!!! I mean, he won more Grammys in one night than he has ever won in his career!! The best part of the Grammy's was when Backstreet Boys performed their medley of songs and when they performed with Elton John. Those were great performances!!! All in all, I thought BSB should have won a Grammy. They have accomplished so much this past year and I don't think they were recognized for it. All i have to say is.... He's like friggin' old, and he didn't even sing the song! Rob Thomas should have won instead of him! He sang it! Santana only played the guitar! Gosh, I think that it really sucks that BSB didn't win anything. I mean, c'mon!! They are so talented and I think that it is so messed up that they don't get recognized enough for their talent. Well, the Grammys are voted on by people in the recording industry, but I know that if they were voted on by the general public, then BSB would have won. I am very happy for Santana though because it took him 30 years to win a Grammy and I think that it's cool that he got all his awards. Too bad he took all the awards away from the Backstreet Boys. I would just like to say that I love The Backstreet Boys very much and I am a huge fan! I would also like to say that I think they did a great job at the Grammys!! I was a little dissapointed that they didnt dance but they had such great voices that it didn't matter! Then they came back w/ Elton and were great once again! They really rocked the stage both times! I really think they should have won at least one award for album of the year or something. I think that the only reason Carlos Santana won all those awards was cause he hasn't had an album out in like 15 years!! I mean really...who would give some old guy 8 out of 10 awards for just playing the freakin guitar!! Whats up with that? He doesn't even sing! He has probably only sold like 2 albums to himself and The Backstreet Boys have sold over 1 million in the first week!! If they don't call that a good album then I don't know what is! I only liked those two songs 'Maria, Maria' and 'Smooth' and if it was someone else playing the guitar I really wouldn't have cared much at all!! I didn't even know who he was until that song 'Smooth'! I don't see what the big deal is! All he does is play the guitar!!!!! You don't see him singing and dancing and looking good and everything that the Backstreet Boys do every day!! I just don't think that Carlos deserved all those awards! The Grammy's weren't developed to fuel competition between artists. It was made to celebrate the greatest in music. Some of ya'll are upset that BSB didn't win an award and how your mad at Carlos Santana for winning the awards. Santana has been around for 30 years. If you have Supernatural you'd know that Santana deserved those awards..not all of them..but most of them. And they'res always a next Grammys right? I feel he said it the best when he said "the Grammy's are a whole lot of bulls**t" Now I'm not bitter that Santana won the whole darn thing because he deserved it(about 20 years ago!) I knew that they wouldn't win song, record, pop duo, or album of the year because Santana was up for those as well. And ya'll knew he was gonna take those awards (and every other god damned award). But what really pissed me off is that Sting won best pop album. WTF!!! Sting isn't even pop!!! If the BSB were gonna win any award it most definitely should have been that one. But I'm not worried because I know that next year BSB will sweep the Grammy's because they rock like that. Am I right peoples?!? And of course their performance was absolutely THE best yet!!!
