Being A Backstreet Boy

This is for Michelle - I re-read my article and no where did I say or imply that 1) the article was only for the younger fans or 2) that the younger fans were immature brats. I never said that and I don't feel that way. There are fans - OF ALL AGES - that do things to disrespect the BSB and my article was simply an attempt to get those fans to really see what they're doing and to reach out to the fans that do treat the BSB with respect and love and band together as one to help protect the fellas from the overzealous fans. Again, I am not referring to any one age group, gender, race, faith.

I do agree with the article. Being a Backstreet Boy must be hard, but I think that is the reason why the harder you work the more successful you will be. 1 thing that I often thought about is that Nick Carter was only 12 when he signed with Lou Pearlman . . . when I was 12 I could barely keep up my grades!

I do agree with the author to an extent. I fully realize that the boys work EXTREMELY hard to get at where they're today. I also think it's unfair that so many people in the entertainment industry don't have respect for them, they work harder than anyone else in the business & deserve EVERY ounce of respect they can get. But I don't think it's fair on how the author dismissed the 'younger' fans as immature brats. I'm 16 & don't act the way she described the younger generation of bsb fans. I try to donate something to there different causes... but when you don't have money it's kinda hard. I just what to say even the teenage fans do have complete & utter respect for them.

I am also a friend of Lori Thompson's and I agree with her 100%. I believe that not enough fans really appreciate what the Backstreet Boys do for all of us. They are five hard working individuals and I admire them so much! Thanks Lori girl for the article....

I THINK ALL THIS IS TRUE THAT BEING A BACKSTREET BOY IS VERY HARD WORK. I'VE BEEN THROUGH THIS MYSELF BECAUSE I AM TRYING OUT FOR LOTS OF TALENT SHOWS,PLAYS,AND DOING A LOT OF DANCING. I PROBABLY GET WAY MORE REST THOUGH. I JUST WANTED TO SAY "THANK YOU" TO ALL THE BACKSTREET BOYS AND THAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN A REALLY BIG INFLUENCE IN MY LIFE. I LOVE YOU ALL!ESPECIALLY YOU NICK. YOUR BRO IS SO CUTE! ALSO, I'M REPRESENTING ALL OF BSB'S FANS. THEY LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU TOO!

I totally agree with the writer of the article. The music business is such a big responsibility. Yet, the Backstreet Boys are great with it. They really know how to deal with everything from all their responsibilites for the music business to their everyday lives such as everyone else in the world. I, a great fan and a normal person, am very proud of them.
