The Backstreet Boys are taking a break, people. That's all this brief time off for them is. They are not giving up on their music. They will be back. They have a right to live their lives. With the contractual obligations BSB has, they certainly will be making another album soon. They love to entertain, and their fans are important to them. This constant childish comparison with other groups gets on my nerves. I LOVE the Backstreet Boys' music. They are NEVER going to be the teeneybopper favorite boyband anymore. They don't want to be. They want to make music for their fans. When I read someone write "maybe they'll get back to their fan base" I feel like laughing. The guys do not want to be teen idols forever. They are moving on to making better and better music for us THE FANS (regardless of our ages). So stop the whining. They've outlasted their competitiors, and they will continue to be popular and appreciated. But the fanatic "teen idol" thing is slowing down. That kind of momentum doesn't go on forever. Grow up, fans. If you don't appreciate the maturing Backstreet Boys, then go find someone else to obsess about. BSB forever. I love them, and always will. Ok last night joey fatone said on 106.7 an orlando radio station that nsync is taking a very long extended break.mainly cause supposably lance is going to have his dream come true and is going to live in russia for 7 months and go to space. hes going to see his alian cousins. First 98 degrees takes a break and now nsync. LOOk who s left. Member Nick said he wanted bsb to be the longest band of their kind to last .Well it looks like that might happen. Noone is in bsbs way now. Except otown but they arent a threat at all. Its just gonna be bsb when they come back theyll have so much room. Maybe theyll even gain some of their fan base back they lost. I just hope they also dont go to space or take a break. they told us fans so many times they are coming out with a new cd near the end of 2002. I hope they keep their word. Submitted by Brian's Mistress from USA Date: Tue Feb 19 00:17:29 2002 Guys BSB are working on they next album, i don't know where i heard it but it is soon to come out, they say that they aren't sure but that the due date for the album to come out is april or so. so don't worry hang in there, our boys are coming back we all just gotta be patient and not give in to any of the pressure of wether we should stick by them or not. I mean if you pay attention, pop is not even a big deal anymore, rock/pop it's what's becoming real popular now. BSB are gonna come back stronger than ever i just feel it. so hang in there, they don't need to be rushing their career because they are not in a time warp thing like they need to do their sh*t while they're still young, they got no rush like most of these boy bands ( and yes i am talking about "that" boy band), they're not a group, or boy band, they're a vocalizing group/songwriters/men.
