Hi, fellow Backstreet Boys' fans.Did you see TRL's phone interview with Nick yesterday? He was so adorable: he said he had never gotten into trouble before, and that he almost felt like crying when all the trouble started. He said he didn't mean to be disrespectful to the cop. (I'm paraphrasing all of this, but the bottom line is: he was apologetic, but he said he really didn't do anything seriously wrong: he wasn't fighting, he's 21 and allowed to drink). Nick added that Kevin asked him "What did you do, little brother?" The Backstreet Boys have such a special, real relationship. I just love them. Their music means a lot to me. When I read the silly stuff that people write about this BIG competition between other groups and BSB, it really annoys me. This is not a contest. If you love the Backstreet Boys, you love them and buy their music. If you don't, well then you don't. All celebrities go through ups and downs. Sometimes they are on the very top, and other times their popularity slips a little. That's normal. No one could keep up the pace they were keeping. They can't ALWAYS be number one in everything. But it doesn't matter. What matters is that their fans are loyal, we love their music and videos, we care about them, and we remain loyal over the LONG-HAUL. Let the little kids enjoy the latest fads. But let us -- the BSB fans -- know that our guys will be number one in our hearts for as long as they want to be. They have had a remarkable career, and I just know they don't want to be in the middle of this petty arguing about "my band is better than yours." There is room for everyone. Don
't expect the Boys the win the Grammy either. That organization has the strangest way of picking their winners -- it is VERY political. Our Boys are above the fray. If they win, fine, but if they didn't win when they had the Number One album of the year (Millennium), then I think the Grammys are probably prejudiced against them. It kind of amuses me: someone wins a Grammy, and then you never hear from them again. So, the main thing is that we should support the Boys. They deserve it, because their talent is awesome. Happy Birthday to AJ, best wishes to all the Boys, and love to Nick during this trying time.

I would just like to say a few things:
1. That today is A.J's 23rd birthday and I only saw 1 message about him today! So (if A.J ever reads this)... 'Happy birthday to u, happy birthday to u, happy birthday dear my baby A.J., happy birthday to u.
2. Nick is the hottest guy in the world, no the universe, and I don't care what all those Nick haters think coz deep down inside of the they all love Nick as much as all the Nick supporters do (hey girls?)GO NICKY.
3. I haven't seen a pic of this Sarah Martin chick but as much as I am jealous of her, I am happy 4 A.J and hope them many happy years together and that the limelight dosn't affect them.

hey y'allOk i agree with the others. I think we should drop the nick thing. The poor guy must be so pissed off with being asked over and over i mean hell what do all these people want him to do. Get down on his knees and beg forgiveness. But for WHAT coz he didnt really do anything wrong.
And to everyone who keeps saying he is going to jail please dont believe what you hear. I will be surprised if he even has to turn up in court after all it was just a minor incident.

hi there everyone, im a huge bsb and have been for almost 5 years. my new years resolution is pretty long and i wanna accomplish every single detail. the year of 2001 was to me the worst year ever and i have every intention of making this year "the" year for me.
1. this year i am a senior in high school and i just wanna pass and graduate.
2.go to berklee college of music and for the first time begin doing something for myself.
3.achieve my dream of being a singer, going out there getting some exposure and do what i was born to do. (and i know i can do it and will!)
4. never again let anyone walk over me and take advantage of me like has happened before, thanks to my friends.
5.not take things for granted has i have before.
6.be more excepting, and make sure i smile everyday.
7.open my heart a little more to my family.
8.go to another bsb concert.
9.never lose my self confidence and hold my head high even in the darkest times.
10.let my lifetime soulmate know, that i have loved him since day i first saw him, and once and for all have him and let him love me the way i know he does.
and to you all have a safe, and happy year and may this be "the year" for you as well.PS. people can we let this nick thing go, he's still the sweet baby blue eyed blondie sweetheart, he'll recuperate, and don't foget the big picture here, they are a great group and lets show these nsync fans that this isn't affecting us and we are not going to dump our boys and sorry nsync fans but "the biggest pop group" bsb won't be going anywhere, so your boys can keep working harder to live up to bsb.

I just read the comments about Nick on the mtv page and it really pissed me off!And this message is not to backstreet.net visitors because most of you have been really understanding and supportive!This goes to all the people who diss Nick!What the fuck's the matter with you?!Why are you treating Nick as if he was a serial killer or something?If he says he hasn't done anything wrong then I believe him!And I will support him all the way and so will all the true fans of the BSB!If the arrest was justified (and I strongly doubt it) then why didn't they arrest the girl?Or was Nick having an argument with himself?Or was he shouting at the wall?! And anyway - since fucking when is having an argument against the law?Now they are saying that Nick could go to jail!For fucking what?!For having an argument?And why the hell are you calling him stupid??He says very clearly in his statement that he was going to leave the nightclub but these freaking cops arrested him before he could!!Can't you people read or what??
