Hi there to everyone,

I need to get some things off my chest!
FRIST, (this goes out to AJ'S 'crazy' EX, Kelley).
So you are pist off right now because AJ wasn't faithful and not honest to you and all his other fans? So you wanna switch over to Nick and make him your favourite one?
Can I be honest with you? For me that's idiocy, bullshit! Not in the right ballpark!
Did you know that Nick isn't better than AJ, in no case, you know concernig being faithful and honest with the fans? He's just the same! I'm sorry if I dash your hopes about Nick's sincerity concerning this subject, but he did it just like AJ.
Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna take his name in vain or something because I am a big Nick-fan myself for more than five years now, but I think you should know that he was unfaithful with us some time ago.
You wanna know when? I can tell you that!
It was back in 1998, here in Germany. He gave an interview in a German magazine. He told us that he's having a girlfriend (MANDY) and that it just started up a few weeks ago, but actually they've already been together for almost two years then.
I don't know how he managed it in the U.S. but in Germany he took us (all his fans) on a ride. And he played his game on all the time. He didn't tell us anything about her! He didn't tell the truth.
I mean I was disappointed about how he played us for a fool and that he didn't tell us the truth from the start. But I love him and a forgive him. Because, you know, it's his privacy and I respect that.
And I hope you respect AJ's decision. It's his life and if he wanna tell us about her and his engagement he will. And if he doesn't he won't. That's just the way it is. Is not in our hands. You can't change it, I can't change, we all can't change it.

SECOND, about this NICK-THING ("Nick arrested etc.) last week. I don't care about it. I mean I care about him but not about what the press is saying or writing and all the romours. Anyway! After all he's just a man. And deep down inside my faithful heart I know he's a decent fellow. He's (still) 21 years old and he's allowed to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes! And I know he takes the responsibility for ALL his mistakes. I support him no matter what.
Now I've got all off my chest!

SOMEONE faithful

hi every one
i just read all your comments so far, and i have a few things to say.
1. please stop with this nick thing we all know nick is innocent, and that this is only for publicity because he is a celebrity and he certainly won't go to jail, i mean if he goes to jail because he disobeyed a cop, then there is gonna be a riot because this so called crime is so pathetic, and all the fan's will have a stike or something i think the police department is messing with the wrong people, or should i say the wrong type of fans. bottom line, he'll be alright so stop worrying, a little contreversey didn't do eminem any harm, right?
2.that story about bsb selling 3.6 million copies, i think i believe that i mean bsb have been trying for so long to get off this stupid image of "boy band", that they'll try anything, so i support them if this story in fact is true. it also shows that they don't care about being on top. like nsync they have cd's coming out like rockets, you'll see when they fall out of the spotlight they are gonna fall hard.
3. i agree with the story about bsb not winning a grammy, it would be really good if they won the grammy but they won't like that girl said they did not win when they had four nomination and a number one cd much less with one nomination and a cd that came out a while ago. the academy likes to have mushy moments and have legends go on stage and win so they can have a long speech and go on , on how it started has a dream. over all people who win grammys either never come back (aka lauryn hill, she won five grammys and they made such a big deal, and where exactly is she now?) besides the grammys are a lifetime award and i know if bsb hangs around for a while and keeps making great music as they have, they get a few for the collection fo awards they already have.
4. to the girl that is upset because aj, is engaged, that is true. i heard that a while ago but i thought it was a rumor or the statement was false. but now that you bring it up, i guess it really is true. if you have not seen sara yet well, did you ever see amanda, his recent girlfriend before sara? well, let's just say that amamda basicly looks like a queen next to her. you have to look for one of ther pictures on this site, no offense i am not usually this judgemental but she is hedious. also he has not been with her for only a couple of months, she's been around for a while. i don't mean to be rude, but when aj entered rehab, he was dating her i believe he found confort in the driking because, of all the problems he might of had, but when he finished rehab he was told not to hang around peole who would influence him to drink. well, i believe that some of the problems and temptation might have come from her. i know aj is old enouh to know when it's love, but i am just looking out for him, i would not want all those worth living sober days, to go down the drain with one wrong decision, but everything has a reason and we'll se the out come of this one. also to the girl who said she now would have to like nick because aj was engaged, grow up. i mean all of you i don't mean to be mean but these guys aren't gonna marry us despite what most of us dream. they are all happily married and we all need to support them for their great music. music that i must say has helped me through so many times. for example tonight my heart was so dead because my parents had a huge fight along with my older sister and i felt so alone, but i put on "black and blue" and suddenly i saw myself smilling again.
anyway, moving on, i totaly forgot today was aj's birthday, so
happy happy birthdday aj, may god bless you and your life in every way along with the boys.
how old is he now, 23? 24? who knows! it doesn't make a difference he's one year mature and still looking great.

c-yall
love always
bsb fan

I dont want to start any rumors but this is what i found on backstreet.net (best FAN BsB site) "**The Boys sold 3.6 copies of Black and Blue here in the U.S. it's first week.**
But don't hold your breath waiting for Soundscan or Jive to announce it because it isn't going to happen. Here is how I came about this information. I was waiting in line for concert tix this morning when I struck up a conversation with another woman who was getting tix for another venue. But she also thinks the Boys are pretty good, even though she admitted she wasn't a "die-hard fan". She actually likes 'NSync better, not because of the vocals (she said the BSB are far superior), but because she just likes the up-tempos more and likes the dancing emphasis in the 'NSync shows. This lady has a very wide taste in music, believe me! From Nine Inch Nails to Limp to 98 Degrees. We started talking about Black and Blue and she said she really liked it. She had also heard of the MFC, and she said she would look us up on the Internet because she liked the idea about all the charity work that we do. Anyways, we got to talking about first week sales, and she told me that she grew up in the Orlando area, and she has a good friend who is directly affiliated with Jive. Her friend's family owns Kingworld productions, and she mentioned several names that I know for a fact are associated with the Boys and Jive. (No, she has never met them, nor does she claim to know them personally). **Anybody remember that little post from the BOOST club that ended up on the MFC message board and other boards that stated the Boys had sold 3.6 million so far? And then it suddenly "disappeared" justlikethat?** Well, this was the EXACT number this lady quoted to me! I asked her how she came up with this information, and she said it all started back with the sale of NSA when she went to buy a copy for her daughter the first week it came out, and she noticed a #2 by the "quantity" line. But yet she only paid for one. She said she asked the store manager about it, and he said that was how Jive had instructed all of them to be keyed in. (??) She wasn't happy with that answer, so she called her friend in Florida because she knew she was associated with Jive, but she claimed ignorance about the whole thing. But then after Black and Blue came out, her friend gave her the whole scoop and told her that NSA did NOT sell 2.4 million that first week. It only sold 1.2 million, just barely beating out the Boys' record.

......More in next post.......

But then after Black and Blue came out, her friend gave her the whole scoop and told her that NSA did NOT sell 2.4 million that first week. It only sold 1.2 million, just barely beating out the Boys' record.

The inflated figures came from carefully-placed marks on the bar codes that automatically registerd a single purchase of NSA as being 2 copies, although most consumers never saw the discrepancy or were aware of the marks. I was still a little skeptical here, so I asked her why Jive would intentionally do this, and she quoted the "boy band" feud thing... trying to keep the fires of competition going between the fans. So why would Jive deliberately LOWER the numbers for Black and Blue if it really sold 3.6 million copies? She said her friend told her that this will actually BOOST sales for both albums, and that they (Jive) are centering a lot of attention on NSync right now and trying to keep them "on top" because they figure they can get one more album out of them before they lose their very young teen and pre-teen fanbase. And then it will be all over. NO multi-album deals have been offered to NSync, and we all know that the Boys have a 5-album deal, which will probably take them at least 6-8 years or so to fill, depending on whether or not double-album or single-album releases are planned for the future. **In other words, Jive knows that the Boys are here to stay, and they're milking the NSync cash cow for everything they can right now!** If the Boys leave Jive, which they have hinted at recently in the press, Jive will plummet rapidly. They will have Britney and NSync, both of which have a very "iffy" chance at longevity. So do the Boys know about this? That I can't tell you, but her friend told her that she thought they did, and that they're okay with it because they're trying to get away from the "boy band" competition between them and NSync. Beating their record would have just fueled the fire even more. They're distancing themselves from this whole mess and trying to re-invent themselves both musically and personally. Do I believe this person? Well, I can't imagine why she would make something like this up. And she admitted to liking NSync more. And if you look at some of the "rumors" that were flying around when NSA first came out about messed-up receipts and such, it makes sense. And did anyone notice how tight-lipped sources were with giving the public any info about Black and Blue's sales at first? The media was broadcasting NSA's sales tallies almost on a daily basis earlier this year! And nowhere have I seen WalMart's actual first-week sales posted. Very interesting to think about. But I have to say this... if this is true, I have just gained a huge amount of respect for the Boys. To know what is going on and NOT say anything says volumes to me. And on the opposite hand, for Nsync to be equally knowledgeable about all of this literally makes me ill. Again, I have NO WAY of proving this, but I have a feeling that time will eventually weed this little scandal out. And guess who will come out smelling like a rose, STILL playing to packed-out audiences, and STILL selling a ton of records??"

This comment is for the dude who wrote a couple of entries down. You are full of it. Do you think us fans are stupid or something??? By reading what happened that night that he didn't do anything wrong. My older sister (she's 29 yrs. old) HATES the Backstreet Boys but after reading MTV's story on what happened she agreeded that he didn't do anything wrong.

2001 was a really tough one for BSB. From A.J.'s depression, to the rumor of a split, our boys have been through it all. Know what??? It doesn't bother me that much to hear that N Sync is #1 on TRL or the fact that BSB isn't as popular as they used to be. The thing that has gotten me really upset recently is the LACK OF RESPECT toward BSB. 1999 was a long time ago. But back then Backstreet was #1 (and technically, out of the U.S. still are #1). People adored them, loved them, praised them. Then came N Sync, taking advantage of the doors that Backstreet had worked so HARD to open. Suddenly, all the praise from the media stopped, and the DISRESPECT began. It doesn't bother me that they are other guy groups out there that are popular today. HOWEVER it does upset me that despite all the hard work BSB has done to get popular in the U.S., NOBODY GIVES THEM THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE. N Sync and all the other boy bands out there need to show BSB RESPECT. Cause if it weren't for BSB they, along with pop music, wouldn't be where they are now.

This is not really related to what you're talking about but anyway. When I came onto this site today, I couldn't help noticing the "Did 2001 suck?" pole. Now, i know this is a complete matter of opinion in the world, but for me 2001 was the best year of my life. That is right! I am a hardcore Backstreet Boys fan and have been for awhile. Come on, look over all of the wonderful things that happened in 2001. On January 17,2001, "Shape of my heart" became the most successful video on the TRL countdown with 61 out of 65 days at number one. We got to watch our boys do a WONDERFUL job at the superbowl doing the national anthem. And i am a big skier myself, and last winter was just the sweetest winter i have ever seen in my life! we got a fabulo season. I had a big birthday party for Brian Littrell. Also, even MTV egnoleged the fact that it is brians birthday. plus, most of the videos were fairly successful on trl, right? Then, I got to go to my first concert ever on September 9, 2001!! OH YEA BABY!!

c-ya

btw i have something kinda ironic to tell y'all. A.J.'s lucky number is 69 (y'all knew that, right?). Well anyway, on 9-11-01, he was 69 days sober. isnt that weird??

Guys... not that I care about NSync or BSB or whoever.... but if Nick was engaged in an armed robbery, and if he told you "fans" that it wasn't the truth, I'd bet my boots that you'd believe it. Which is PATHETIC. You guys are HILLARIOUS to any person with some sort of intelligence in his/her head. I can understand that Nick is young. But if a police officer tells you to get lost, and if (and that is what HE claims) you are not involved in the incident, you DO get lost. He didn't. Cuz either (a) he's stupid cuz he believes his celebrity will protect him, or (b) he's stupid and he doesn't know that a police officer is no-one to f**k with. Your pick. In any case, I'll laugh about you. I know that NSync fans are the same, so I'd laugh at them, if Justin ended up in such a situation. I just wish that you guys would STOP protecting and justifying everything "your guys" do and would start to develop some sort of open mind. I don't care what your prince Nick does. But you guys should be a bit less obsessed.... and a bit more objective.

ok since when is aj going out and gettin engaged and not tellin his fan's i just found this out watching trl today they where #1 and on the bottom of the screen it said "aj has just recently gotten engaged to a girl he has only known a few months". ok the last girl he went out with broke up with him and then 2 weeks later he was in rehab. atleast brian and kevin knew their wives longer than 3 months. and they came out right away about the engagements. but no aj is hidding it. so if it is true and he comes out and says it is. i am going to become a fan of nick cuz aj was not faithfull and honest to his fans. sorry to all of my fellow aj fans our man is off the market but hopefully not for good. i know that's harsh but i am majorlly pist off right now at him. but i am going to be nice and wish him a happy birthday it's nice to see that he is 24 and still sobber. hey you never know i might just become an hardcore o-town fan. i do love dan.

Ok, first let me clear one thing up. It is a fact that the Backstreet Boys will not win a Grammy, so don't get your hopes up too high. U2 will win this one for sure, no doubt about it. I love the BSB as much as anyone on this site, but we know that they will get bashed around and they will not win. Also, another thing. Yes, I will admit, *NSYNC is more popular. They still have the record for both of their albums and they are #1 just about every day on TRL. Sure, you can change that and vote for BSB if you want. Frankly, all I care about is that BSB will always be BSB whether they sell 2 albums or 2 million albums. Yea, it would be nice to see them on top but who really cares?? We have all grown out of that "boy-band" phase, haven't we? If you ask me, putting "Girlfriend" and "Gone" in the same musical category as talented and beautiful songs like "Shape of my Heart" and "Drowning" is just insulting to the Backstreet Boys. At least when they write their own music, the song doesn't sound like someone was on crack while writing it. And they don't ask their choreographers for help either!

c-y'all!

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY TO AJ MCLEAN... I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!!:)
