Date: Aug 17, 2099 Saturday August 14, 12:32 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release Backstreet Boys Post Fastest Palace Sellout Ever for Their November 6 Concert, Eventually Filling up Three Shows in Less Than an Hour AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-platinum pop/R&B vocal group Backstreet Boys' ``Into The Millennium'' Tour sold out The Palace's entire 20,000-plus seating configuration for three concerts on November 6, 7 and 8 in less than one hour when the shows went on sale today at 10 a.m. The first show, November 6, sold out in a Palace-record eight minutes, surpassing Madonna's previous record of 10 minutes set for her October 23, 1993 concert. The feat is even more remarkable since the shows were sold the in the round, utilizing the entire Palace arena configuration of more than 20,000 seats and there was an eight ticket limit per customer. The second show, slated for November 7, filled to capacity in 18 minutes, leading to a November 8 concert which sold out in 31 minutes. The Backstreet Boys join a select handful of artists who have sold out The Palace for three or more consecutive nights including Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond, ZZ Top, Elton John and Michael Jackson.
