Date: Jul 16, 2099 LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Limp Bizkit narrowly held off the Backstreet Boys to score the No. 1 spot on the pop album charts for a third consecutive week, according to sales data issued Wednesday. The top three on the charts remained unchanged for the third week, with Ricky Martin's self-titled album rounding out the trio at No. 3. The Red Hot Chili Peppers returned to the top 10 after a two-week absence, and the highest-ranked debut was Fiend's ``Street Life'' at No. 15. Limp Bizkit's ``Significant Other'' sold nearly 264,000 copies in the week ended July 11, bringing its three-week total to 1.2 million, according to the rap-rock combo's Interscope Records label. The last rock band to top the charts for more than a week was the Beastie Boys, whose ``Hello Nasty'' enjoyed a three-week run in July and August last year, also selling 1.2 million units in the process. The Backstreet Boys' ``Millennium'' (Jive) sold 260,000 units, propelling its eight-week tally to 3.7 million. ``Ricky Martin'' (Columbia) trailed with 218,000 units, and a nine-week sum of 3.1 million. Britney Spears' perky ``...Baby One More Time'' (Jive) climbed two places to No. 4, its highest place in a month, as it sold 145,000 units. After 26 weeks in release, the album has sold 4.0 million copies. The soundtrack to ``Wild West'' (Interscope) slipped a notch to No. 5 in its fourth week, selling 141,000 units; its cumulative sum stands at 723,000 units. Rounding out the top 10 were Disney's ``Tarzan'' soundtrack at No. 6 (down one from last week); Sarah McLachlan's ''Mirrorball'' (Arista) at No. 7 (up one); the soundtrack to ''Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me'' (Maverick) at No. 8 (down one); the Red Hot Chili Peppers' ``Californication'' (Warner Bros.) at No. 9 (up three); and Shania Twain's ``Come on Over'' (Mercury Nashville) at No. 10 (unchanged).
