We just got finished watching a program that we have waited over a year for! Disney finally finalized a deal with the BSB for their own In Concert Special. We, as many other Backstreet fans, have waited for this day ever since we found out about the special. Although certain aspects of the could have been better, the overall performance was kickin'!

***The Negative Stuff (If you don't like the open-minded stuff - scroll down)***

Even though we did our fair share of screaming, sighing, and crying, some things in the program made us wonder just WHAT the Boys were thinking.

First off - the purses. What WERE those things? They looked like really weird purses/gunpowerder carriers or something like that. Angie is da bomb, but this move was pretty "non-masculine". (Ask Lily about that one) What the heck do they carry in those anyway?

Next order of wardrobe business, what was the matter with Kevin, Brian and Nick's sleeves? Did they purposely make them longer so that they could tie them around their wrists like the end of a balloon? (which is the first thing Willow said when she saw it)

FOOTBALL GEAR??!?!?!? A "Varsity Blues" theme during "Larger Than Life" or what was that all about? They looked half-way decent but it really scared us when they started coming down the line slapping hands and stuff. We were expecting them to snap towels at each other next!

Even my MOM asked if Nick had gained a little weight. (Personally I 'Willow' think Nick has lost some weight since the CBS This Morning appearence)

The vocals were off da hook! They put so much energy into the ballads and even the up-tempo's, but the dancers made the whole stage looked cluttered. Who were we suppoesd to concentrate on? The back-updancers who were moving around, or the Boys, who were singing but barely dancing? (With the exception of a few songs) The Boys would have been our choice, but we really wanted to see them doing more of the dancing, less people to concentrate on.

More close-ups of the band would have been even better! We gotta see the people who are playing this awesome stuff. Especially Tommy! I mean, he spends so much time keeping us fans "in the know" about what's really going on, he deserves some airtime!

AJ's hair... *cough cough* uh... Lily has hair clips just like the ones he had in his hair and we'll tell you those are GIRL'S accesories.

Nick's hair.... *double-take* braids? We know he wanted braids back during the INBYH video, but we thought Nick had left that stage behind! A word of advice - Braids + Nick = Never Again!

Tehehe... Howie looking at women's clothing, that speaks for itself.

Lily would like to make a comment about the certain back-up dancer dancing with Nick in Larger Than Life who is shimmying when Nick points at her. She started to steam.

Last bad thing - I knew Leighanne was out there somewhere. I'm not biased against the Backstreet girlfriends, it's just that she has gotten such a bad rap from fans, I guess I shouldn't judge until I meet her, but I'd rather imagine Brian singing to a fan.

***The Better Stuff*** (Ok you can stop scrolling now, we're at the good part!)

The chair routine! Wooohooo! Although why did the new dancers get the cooler version of the dance?

The B-Ball section. Nick - DEFENSE BUDDY! But he nailed a few shots. May we ask how old those guys were that Frick and Frack were playing? But Brian knows his stuff.

Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely... such a wonderful song. God it's amazing! We got chills listening to that song, and seeing them perform it live added to it. And Nick holding that girl's hand... *sigh* if that was one of us we'd probably never be able to talk again. Also, during that song - it was the best we'd ever heard Howie sing.

Bowling. Does Nick have a balance problem? Whatever it was it was cute. Go Brian! Exactly how many strikes did he make in that game? You'd think that the guys spend more time bowling than playing B-Ball!

Another good thing - Nick was not wearing braids during the performance and certain interview segments! Thank heavens!

We know that the "good" section is much shorter than the "bad" but certain things we had to point out. Don't get us wrong, we're two of the biggest (not "the" biggest, but pretty big) Backstreet fans you could find, and we LOVED the show. This just made us hope even more that we can score front row tickets like we have been planing the past year and a half for their upcoming concert in the states.

Overall, we would have killed to be there, and can't wait for the Into the Millennium Tour (which is going to be bigger, better, and even more awesome) to come to the United States! -Willow & Lily
