Some songs on the album are really "Backstreet Sound". But there are songs where you think, huh BSB??

Let's start with Larger Than Life, the first song of the album. It's written by Brian and it's like a "thank you to the fans". If you read the lyrics you can find that in it. It's kinda pop song with an upbeat and very cool! "All you people can't you see, can't you see -- How your love's affecting our reality -- Everytime we're down -- You can make it right -- And that makes you larger than life". Well that's nice to hear for a fan! This song really makes you happy! Esp. when you put your speakers up, the weather is nice and you go dancing with your friends outside! *lol*

Okay, then we have I Want It That Way. The new single which came in at number 1 in Holland. This was very exclusive, because there wasn't 1 group or person who did this before!! They're the first who came in at number 1 in the Rabo Top 40 without being a tip!!! In England they're also at number 1, well I think this single is gonna be huge everywhere! What can I tell about this new single? Have you seen the video? Ah, you must have seen it!! IWITW is a slower song than Larger Than Life and very nice too!!

Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely has got a long title!! It's written by Max Martin and you can hear that! The lyrics are very beautiful and the "background" music too. It's with a whole orchestra, called SNYKO. A really beautiful slow song with the perfect voices for this song. All BSB-ers have a little part in it and everybody with the right part at the right time! I can't say more than lovely!!

Baby it's the way you make me, kinda get me go crazy, never wanna stop, It's Gotta Be You! A song with an upbeat again and a really Backstreet Sound, because of the "oeha oeha", like they did in Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The perfect song to freak out when you put the speakers up! The first sentence Nick sings is really cool! Lovely accent!!

Finally! It's on album! You heard it for the first time at a concert and couldn't remember the name, but you do remember it was so beautiful! I'm talking about the song which was called Heaven In Your Eyes before, but now it's changed in I Need You Tonight. Nick was singing this song as a solo at almost every concert and also on the album Nick's singing it! The whole song! Only in the chorus there are little parts where the other members are singing with him.

Boom boom boom boom.... Don't Want You Back. Really uptempo! You probably never expected this kinda song by BSB! It's also written by Max Martin and there are little "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)-parts" in it, like: You saw my picture on the Backstreet's Back... allright! But I think you just have to listen this song if you want to know what I mean! AJ and Brian are singing a lot in this song, but you also hear the others ofcourse! Esp. Kev is cool! His low voice is very good for this song!

Don't Wanna Lose You Now is a slow song again. Really beautiful! It's probably my favorite song! Again lovely lyrics! And you know, this song also is written by Max Martin! It's really different when you hear the song before this one! When you heard this song, you're singing the chorus the whole day long! It's a lovely song which stays in your mind for a long time.

Brian wrote a song together with Max Martin! It's called The One, even they wrote it together! *lol* A nice pop song with a really pop beat in it! The perfect song when you're happy! Turn up the speakers and there you go! The bridge is really beautiful! The guitarsolo in the beginning, which is exactly 1 second, is funny.

I want to find the way Back To Your Heart, must Kevin been thinking when he wrote this song! The lyrics are beautiful, but the music even better! The perfect voices, the perfect song! Brian, AJ and Nick are singing the lead parts, not Kevin! And he can sing so beautiful! But, what you probably didn't know is that Kevin plays the keyboard and the bass!! I can't say anything else than this probably is 1 of the best songs of the album!!

The next song is maybe a little strange, when I only heard the title: Spanish Eyes, I was like. That is the perfect song for Howie! And guess what? He's singing a lot in this song! I wonder he didn't wrote it! Well, it's a beautiful song and not ONLY Howie sings in it! All Backstreet Boys are singing in it, so... don't you worry!

No One Else Comes Close is probably a cover from Boyz II Men. A beautiful slow song, the perfect love song I guess! You know, I don't know what to write about this song, it's a whole other sound than the other songs on the album, all I can say is: LISTEN TO IT!

Oh, finally I can tell you about my favorite song of the album! The Perfect Fan! Brian wrote it for his mother and the lyrics are so sweet! You must read the lyrics of this song! All the Backstreet Boys have a part to sing in this song, also they have a big choir for this song. The most people who are/were in this choir were from Brian's old High School (that's what I've heard). But also Nick's little sister, Leslie Carter sings in it! I love the whole song, but esp. the last part when Brian says: I love you mom. The only strange thing in this song is that at the end you hear 5 times the sentence: mom you always were (or you know you always were, something like that). You suppose it was singing by all 5, 1 sentence. Well, only Nick doesn't sing a sentence of it! Brian starts and he ends! It was better if Nick started and Brian ended.... hmm, well, they just made a mistake I think! If you ever see them, tell them they made a mistake!!

I wanted to thank each individual who lent their voice and time to the makin of "The Perfect Fan." You truly earned your props on this album. - - Brian

Well, that are all the songs on the album, but there's another thing I will write about! The booklet! The pictures are really beautiful, you can see them yourself and have your own opinion, but I want to write down here little sweet or funny parts they write in the Thank You's! I hope you like them as much as I do!!

Thank You's

Nick

So here we are again, reading yet another boring "thank you" letter where we all get a chance to say what's really on our mind. If written correctly this letter might end up in its original form! Well... here we go!

First off, I'd like to thank you (yeah, you!) the one reading this right now! Do you actually know how much you've done for us?! If not, well I'm telling you. Tou're the reason we live, the reason we enjow every bit of what were doing. For that you definitely deserve the first thanx!

Also, Nick has got a "cyber-code"...

5483-5433-86-843-3855378-697-843-388873-47-722723

Which probably means: Live life to the fullest for the future is scarce

Or (but I don't think so, it's a little weird.... but funny!) Jive lied to the fullest for the future is scarce

Love, Nick

Howie

To my sister Caroline, who passed away September 12, 1998 from complications from the disease called Lupus: I'll always be gratefull to have spent the last date of our American Tour with you in your hometown. I know that you are now in a better place, watching over all of us as our Guardian Angel. I love and miss you dearly and dedicate this album in memory of you.

Thanks most of all to our fans around the world for continuing to keep the Backstreet Pride alive.

Hugs, Kisses & Cookies - Howie D.

PSALM 61, 1-3

"Hear my cry, O GOD; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the Earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For Thou hast been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy." To this day I have lived five years of my life, and 21 years of FRACE. Thank you JESUS ofr you MERCY and GRACE.

At the end he writes for his girlfriend Leighanne (without saying her name in this thank you):

I love you baby and all your family too, "also as well."

Love, Me

A.J.

Now comes the fun part -- the Band!!! Well, where to begin -- let's start with the keys: Dennis (FREEWAY) Gallo and Tommy (POWDER) Smith, you guys rock. Next, percussion: Obie Morant, well you're in a class of your own, but thanks for your funk.

Well, next I want to thank my panda, my shooting star I wished for -- Amanda. You are the greatest person, friend and woman a man could ever wish for and that is why I love you and will cherish you in my thoughts and in my heart until the day I die. Baby, I love you.

This is BONEDADDY saying goodbye and God bless! Peace!!!
