MILLENNIUM MADNESS: Just when you thought Latin singing sensation Ricky Martin was the biggest story in music this month, the Backstreet Boys are blowing the hunky singer away. Don't ever accuse this Orlando singing quintet of being one-hit wonders. Despite heavy competition from other teen groups, Nick Carter and the gang have risen above the rest and are poised to break some serious records -- and not just for the number of hearts they've managed to break. Thanks to tremendous fan support -- not to mention extended MTV airtime and lots of advertisements -- Millennium may soon be considered the fastest-selling album in history. Estimates are that the group's follow-up record could sell 1.1 million units in its first week, beating out the former champ, Garth Brooks' Double Live, which was released last fall. So take that, 'N Sync!
