Date: May 10, 2099 I Want It That Way seems to be on top of the charts all over the place. In Canada it debuted at #1. A First for the Boys. In the UK, it's pinned at #1, another first for the Boys. It's also #1 in Brasil, Spain, Germany and Lebanon and debuted at #6 in Australia. The big question remains... will it get to #1 in the USA? The answer is "probably not" since the single is not on the market (you can get it on cassette tape with the recently released Homecoming video). Given that it's stalled at #23 on the Billboard charts and that it's just an "album cut", airplay alone won't be enough to push it to the top. Last week, the video debuted on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL) at #8. This came as a surprise to everyone and now all sorts of Internet rumours about how they debuted so low have started. Many are claiming that TRL is somewhat fixed. Others are saying that 'N Sync fans "hacked" into MTV's online system to sway the vote. [Remember that these are RUMOURS] On their second day out, the Boys managed to hit the #2 spot on TRL. We'll have to wait and see if "Larger Than Life" will be their first #1 single in the USA.
