On March 31, 1999... Jo Jo Wright of 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles was giving away chances to be a part of the Backstreet Boys new video.

I was one of the winners and was given directions to the secret location. It turned out to be a hanger at LAX. I got there at about 4:30 p.m. They loaded the radio winners and the paid extras onto two luxury buses. There was a delay and we had to wait for about an hour. When we finally got rolling, we were bused around a fence, to a huge hanger.

The boys were there, and they waved to the fans, and got us all screaming. Then they got onto a jet that was parked right outside the hanger. We were instructed to form a semi-circle, and had to cheer and scream when they came down the steps. The boys then filmed the part in the video where they are singing, and the camera is circling around them, while they shake hands and give hugs to their fans. That took about three shoots, if I remeber correctly.

Then we were told to go to the back of hanger, we were then led outside, and bused back around to the other side of the fence. When we got back to the tent we had all met at before, they told all the radio winners to go home. Not many did, and most just hung around the tent, dancing and laughing, and getting to know fellow fans.

When the buses were ready to leave again with the hired extras, a few of the fans still there were chosen to go along. I was lucky enough to be one of those few. I think there were only about ten of the hundred that were there.

We were transported to the front of the airport, to the Tom Bradley Terminal. We waited in an upstairs lounge for three hours, then the camera crew showed up. We went up and down the escaltor in a big circle while they filmed our feet from all different angles. This was finished at about 12 a.m.

At about 2 a.m., they called us again. We were taken back outside where we had to line up on both sides of this walkway. The boys then walked in between us, while we were directed to cheer and take flash pictures of them.

After waiting again until 3:30 a.m., all the extras were given places to stand in the terminal. The Backstreet Boys walked through the terminal, while the extras walk around, making it appear as though it's just a normal sunny day at the airport. You have to remeber it was pitch black outside, and it took two big spotlights inside, and a lots of spotlights outside to create the artifical lighting. After about seven takes of this, the boys left, and probably went back to their hotel. I heard they were staying at the Airport Hilton.. but you never can be sure. The rest of the extras were able to leave at 5 a.m.

That's what the video shoot was like. A whole lot of waiting around, and doing take after take of specific shots. But it was all worth it! The song is totally awesome as well!
