Just to start out, my name is Krista and I have been a Backstreet Boys fan for four years. I have gone to see the Backstreet’s Back tour live three times so tonight was the third time I’ve seen the concert. For all of you who have seen a live concert but not the Pay Per View or if you saw the Pay Per View but not a live show, they are almost exact duplicates of each other. The special started at 7:30pm with a mini-interview with the boys. This was the same interview that they had been showing on the preview channel all week. Then at 8:00pm the actual concert started.

They started by showing the guys backstage doing their pre-show warm-up thingy. They are all gathered together in a group. When they break apart it’s a bit of a shock. Brian and Nick have their girlfriends in the huddle with them. It’s a little depressing to see them together but I’m over it!! I don’t care as long as their happy! Anyways they opened the show with "That’s The Way I Like It" ( by the way this was the last show of teh Backstreet's Back Tour and it was filmed in Orlando, Florida) and then after that they sing "Hey Mr.DJ" and then "Just To Be Close" After this they each do their solos. Howie goes first with "My Heart Stays With You" and then it’s AJ with "Lay Down Beside Me" next is Kevin with "Nobody But You" then Brian plays "That’s What She Said" and last but not least is Nick with "Heaven In Your Eyes"(aka I Need You Tonight). After the solos they sing "Let’s Have a Party" and the rest of the songs the perform at their live shows, including all the fan favorites and "Quit Playing Games" with them on the instruments. They do the big Backstreet’s Back finale, with the grim reaper and the fire works, explosions, coffins etc.

I personally found the concert awesome. Not quite as good as being there in person but at least this way if you had bad tickets for the live show you can see them up close!! Of course there were a few minor errors here and there but nothing major!! The only thing that I found to be a little "wrong" about the whole concert was AJ’s dance moves. Don’t get me wrong- he’s an amazing dancer and all, but he definitely takes the "family viewing" label off this concert. I’m not simply talking about his usual crotch-thrusting movements or the times he shows off his torso (which he does quite often). This doesn’t bother me. I talking about the time during his solo when he literally humps the ground. Sure this is AJ’s style and we love him for it, but I feel sorry for the parents who have to explain this to their children!! What are they going say "oh, he’s just horny?!"

All in all the concert was definitely enjoyable the boys looked and sounded great. I can’t wait until I’m able to see them again live!! The MILLENNIUM is coming soon!!

Can we say...Not impressed?!? Now don't get me wrong. I love the Backstreet Boys and they have never disappointed me before (except their AMA performance), but the editing on this concert was horrible. I went to the concert that this was taped from (New Year's Eve, '99, Orlando Arena) and it was much better there. In fact, I drove 15 hours to see that concert. (From the Washington, DC area to Central Florida) Now the Backstreet Boys performing was no different than what I saw in concert and their performance was impressive as always, if not better, but the editing, as I said before, was awful. It jumped from song to song, cutting out all of their talking and the fans enthusiasm. Not to mention in the very beginning, when they are all backstage, you see Brian and his girl. Come on now, I paid $ 20..00 to see this, plus what I spent to see the concert the first time around. I do NOT need to see that!! Hopefully, the next time they decide to tape a concert, they will be a little more careful while cutting and pasting. Please don't think this is a negative review. I loved the concert and it was cool to get in on tape after I had gone to it. I wish you could get that for all their concerts as a momento, it was just the editing that I didn't like. That, and the fact I saw Brian's girl. =( Keep Backstreet Pride ALIVE!!!!

Well, I just finished watching the PPV event for the second time and I have a few things to say. First, it was really good, although a bit different from the show I saw in January 1998. The costumes were different! They looked much more grown up in their suits! I think Aj was really into the whole show! He was sure moving his pelvics a lot! But that was pure pleasure for the fans! One thing I did notice (All u Bikc fans might want to skip this part!), at the beginning, when everyone was doing the prayer, Nick had a girl in his arms, and it WASN'T his sister! Just thought I'd add that it!

Two weeks before the actual event, I saw a little commercial about it and I told my mom I would do ANYTHING to see it! When she told me that I couldn't, I was really disappointed. Then on Feb 5th, that very morning, my mom told me she had a little surprise for me and she'd tell me about it after I got home from school. I knew it had something to do with the Pay-Per-View, and I was soooooo HAPPY when my guess was right! But enough of my boring story...here's what I saw:

The countdown show started half an hour before the concert. All the guys looked very cute! They were sitting around a grand piano, talking about their fans, how the videos were made, what they thought of the MTV Awards spoof of them, and how they got started and stuff. And while they're talking, they showed little clips of their music videos, and some concert footages, as well. They showed clips of what happened while they were in Argentina ands Chili, and let me tell ya...boy, it was CRAZEE!!!!!!

Then after that, the actual show started. The title was "Backstreet Boys Coming Home", and just before the boys came out, they showed footages of the stage screw getting ready and stuff. Then, the boys talked again about how it feels to be playing that night in Orlando Arena and how the fans were all great and stuff. After that, they showed a clip of the boys and the crew backstage right before the show. Brian's girlfriend, and I think Nick's girlfriend were with them as well. I'm pretty sure that was Brian's girlfriend, but I'm not so sure who the girl with Nick really is. All I know is that, that was not BJ. Anyways, someone yelled out, "What time is it?!?" And the boys yelled out, "It's time for me to go to work now!" And then someone yelled out, "What kind of work?!?!" And then the boys yelled out, "HARD WORK!!" Whatever. Then they left the room..Nick had his arms around the girl, and of course, Brian had his arms around his girlfriend too.

The show started off with "That's The Way I Like It". The boys looked really awesome with their sporty outfit on. Everybody was wearing the same thing, except for AJ who was wearing a tank and this black vest that looked really good on him! After that, they sang "Hey Mr. DJ" and "Just To Be Close" acappela. Then, it was time for their solos. Here's how it went:

  • Howie sang "My Heart Stays With You" He was wearing this nice suit (unbuttoned) and he was carrying roses with him. Which he threw to the fans.
  • AJ then came out. He was wearing this tight, black, see through shirt. And he sang, "Lay Down Beside Me". I found that performance really interesting..especially when he was humping the floor!!
  • Then, It was Kevin's turn. He looked very nice! He sang, "Nobody But You". I felt kinda sorry for him cuz not a lot of fans were screaming out for him, but his performance was really good! My mom sure did get a kick with his dancing!
  • After that, Brian came out with his guitar. He sang "That's What She Said" and I'd have to say, he had the best performance of all. They showed a clip of this couple holding each other while Brian sang, and I couldn't help but go, "Awwww!!!"
  • Finally, it was Nick's turn! He had this black, kinda shiny jacket on. He looked sooo cute! He sang the first verse and the chorus of "I Need You Tonight". He sounded very nice! And I found out that night, that he could hold his breath for a really long time! A little inside joke for everyone who saw the show.

After their solos, they sang "Let's Have a Party". I dunno what was really going on, but it looked like Nick and AJ were having an argument. Or maybe I misinterpreted that! Anyways, Nick took off his jacket during that song and everybody started screaming. No offense to Nick or anything (I love the guy! He's my fave!), but he's gone a little too chubby! No hate mails please. Oh yah, and Nick came down the stage too and this fan in the front kissed his hand! Then they sang "Quit Playing Games", with them playing instruments and then they introduced the band members. After that, they changed suits and had their hats on for "All I Have To Give". They did the little hat routine too, and that was cool! Then, I think they sang "Anywhere For You", then "As Long As You Love Me". After that, they all sat on stools and sang "I'll Never Break Your Heart". That was really cool! After that, they changed outfits again. Another sporty look for the night. They sang "Get Down" and "We've Got It Goin' On". That was awesome! After that, they left the stage and the video for "Everybody" started playing. This really tall, grim ripper dude came out on the stage and there were 5 coffins being pushed in. Inside, where the BSB. Then a little firework came on, and they all started singing. Then, the show was over. The credits came on and that was the end of Pay-Per-View!

On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this show a 20! The guys looked great, the fireworks were un to look at, and most of all, the performances were awesome! The crowd was great as well!

1pxhHK Howdy! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers? I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on. Any suggestions?

eTyfCI Right now it appears like Drupal is the preferred blogging platform available right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?
