I went to the Magic Johnson and Backstreet Boys Charity Basketball Game in
Miami, Florida on January 28th(Nick's birthday). It started at 4 o'clock but
they opened the doors at 3 so everyone rushed down to the bottom to get a
glimpse of the players warming up. My friend and I had 2nd row seats, so the
ushers didn't get mad that we moved down a row to watch the people practicing.
So when we got there about 3:15, the only people out there were Magic Johnson
and the guys from Next. Then around 3:30 the guys from Boyz II Men came out
and a couple people were cheering for them, but not too much. Then all of the
sudden the girls crowded around the door started screaming like mad and we all
freaked out because we thought it was BSB, but it was Usher. Usher was really
funny and nice, he kept waving to the crowd and doing all these crazy dance
moves.
Then about 3:55 the crowd of girls went absolutely insane! And out ran
Nick, the birthday boy. He was all by himself and people were holding up their
"Happy B-Day Nick" signs but he didn't really acknowledge them at first. I
guess he was kind of embarrassed because he was the only Backstreet Boy out
there among all the other celebrities. Then about 10 minutes later Kevin came
running out, and then Brian. By then it was about 4:10 and they were doing
interviews and stuff on the court with various local t.v. stations and Brian
and Nick were fooling around on the court. Then Howie ran out and they started
the game like 10 minutes later. Everyone in the crowd was like "Where's AJ???"
but no one that was there was saying anything about it, not even the
announcer. So that was the big mystery for the evening.
And then we met
Brian's girlfriend and she had Brian's pet chihuahua with her in a type of
duffel bag and eveyone was yelling at her. She's kind of weird. Like she looks
too old for Brian, and she wears a LOT of makeup. My friend loves Brian so
when she asked to see the dog, she asked Brian's girlfriend if she was his
mom. The girl gave us the DIRTIEST look and she was like "Nooooo..." and we
almost died laughing when she walked away. And then 10 minutes later we saw
her talking to this younger blond girl, the girl looked about 16 or 17 and
everyone was saying she was Nick's girlfriend, so when she walked by, I looked
her right in the eye and,being the mature person I am, I rolled my eyes at my
friend and the girl gave my a dirty look hehe. If anyone wants to know what
she looks like,email me and I'll tell you.
So anyway the game was really close
the whole time, but after the 2nd overtime BSB and Magic won over the other
team 90 to 84 I think. The announcer had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Nick
and then after the game was over, me and my friend ran out to where the limos
pull out, and we were the first people there but then 5 minutes later everyone
showed up. So after about 10 minutes a big white limo pulled out and everyone
thought it was BSB but the back window rolled down and Magic Johnson stuck his
hand out and waved to my friend and I since we were right there. Then after a
bunch of false alarms, a big black Suburban pulled out and everyone freaked
out because we thought it was BSB but it was Usher,and he put his window down
and he waved to us to, so by then we were pumped because everyone was chanting
"Backstreet Boys" and clapping and stuff. So then 10 minutes later a Chevy
Astro van pulls out and we look in the front window and we saw Kevin so
everyone rushed the van and started beating on the windows and rockng the van
back and forth. It was crazy!!
But the van left and some idiots ran after it
but the rest of us went home. I can't wait till BSB come back to South
Florida!! :)
The game was great!!!! It lasted from 4:00 to around 6:30...well i'll
spare all the details about getting there.I had tickets to 4th row ,
when i got there some players were already warming up, when all of a
sudden around 3:40 everyone started screaming i looked up and it was
Nick Carter (HE LOOKED HOT!!!!!) he was wearing his blue jersey with a
black hat he started warming up , while he did this alot of people
started calling out his name to give him gifts and say happy b-day ,(i
took alot of pictures of him) after a while Kevin came out even though
he stayed back a while cause all the media caught him and started asking
him questions then like 5 min later Brian came out (he is really cute in
person) by this time Kev was already warming up so Bri also warmed up
then Howie came out and did the same.
At 4:00 sharp the game started
before they introduced the players we all sang Happy B-day to Nick !!!
The game started Nick couldn't quite get the ball inside the basket but
he still looked cute the game was great we had alot of fun! they had to
give an extra 10 min because they tied up and the an extra 3 min cause
they tied the game again,At the end the blue team (which was bsb's team
along with Usher, Magic and other players) won the game 90 to 84. One
thing that made me kinda sad though aj wasn't there I don't know why.By
the way Bri's gf was there and so was Nicks sister , atleast i think it
was his sister, actually i saw her, when she passed by close to me and
it was Bj.
The game was alot of fun and it was a great experience.(this
was my first time seeing them in person so i screamed alot boy are they
cute!!!!!!!! and they can play too!! even though nick has to work on it a
little j/k)
