Spooky Backstreet Boys video is 'best of all time'

They like their music videos spooky too. A scary pop video by the backstreet Boys has been voted the best of all time by young pop fans, beating acts like Robbie Williams and Britney Spears. The promo for the hit single Everybody, which features the band in spooky costumes as ghosts and werewolves, topped the poll by Smash Hits magazine and the Box TV channel. The US boy band also figured at No 9 - with the song I Want It That Way - in the vote by fans, mainly aged 15 to 24. The poll's Top 10 videos were: 1) Everybody (Backstreet Boys) 2) Baby...One More Time (Britney Spears) 3) Rock DJ (Robbie Williams) 4) Bye Bye Bye (N'Sync) 5) Real Slim Shady (Eminem) 6) Thong Song (Sisqo) 7) Flying Without Wings (Westlife) 8) Wannabe (Spice Girls) 9) I Want It That Way (Backstreet Boys) 10) All The Small Things (Blink 182) More than 10,000 votes were cast in the email and magazine poll, with votes coming from around the world, reports Ananova. Britney Spears was runner-up with the video for her first hit, Baby...One More Time, in which she dresses in a school uniform. Robbie Williams' Rock DJ - which was censored because of its disturbing images - was third. The young fans ignored ground-breaking and classic videos like Michael Jackson's Thriller, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer, and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Smash Hits editor John McKie said: "The top three videos are a testament to the artistes' appeal. "It's proof that fans enjoy seeing their idols dress up and enjoy watching unusual fantasy videos."
