Date: Nov 17, 2006 McLean Learns From Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper by Steve Baltin As a member of the Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean has had plenty of experiences in the music world. But meeting some of his elders makes him realize how much there is he hasn't done. "Just to be able to meet people that I either grew up listening to or are a big influence on me, [it] kind of puts my life in perspective. Like I-ain't-seen-sh*t-yet type of thing," McLean tells AOL Music. Who has he learned the most from? "The two people I can name off the top of my head are Steven Tyler and Alice Cooper," he says. "They're icons of the music industry and yet they're still dads, they're normal guys outside of work, do the same stuff we all do. And they kind of took me under their wings, like father figures, at these awards-show type of events. We can sit and talk for hours."
