Date: Feb 01, 2006 Boys Back On Street By Stephen Downie 31jan06 THEY really were Never Gone, at least not in the eyes of their fans, anyway. After a five-year hiatus Backstreet Boys, once the biggest boy band on the planet, last night proved they were still a pop force to be reckoned with. Playing a selection of older hits as well as tracks from last year's comeback album, BSB wowed the Entertainment Centre with a dazzling display of energy and finesse. Sure, their dancing may be kooky and Nick Carter looks like he has been chowing down at McDonald's way too often but there was no denying they were still kings in the eyes of their screaming fans. If there was a screamometer in the audience it would have surely burst the moment BSB played I Want It That Way. Other songs, which had the predominantly female crowd squealing with joy were Larger Than Life, Shape Of My Heart and recent hit Just Want You To Know. Love them or hate them BSB put on a hit-packed show, which ensured the crowd left satisfied. And that is what counts, right?
