You did, you did. Howie Dorough, 29, aka Howie D. or Latin Lover, indeed was in town to do some writing with songwriter/producer Sam Mizell, new Christian artist Jadyn Maria and others. And Howie and his Nashville posse — which included songwriters Sam, Jamie Moore, Kari Kimmel, Brentwood publicity machine Brian Mayes, and Lance Bass childhood pal Josh Bracken — hit the town Friday night. Howie, et al., hit Wolfy's and then Tootsie's before spending an hour or so at Bar Nashville. There, Howie hit the floor with some ladies in his posse, but no one really approached him. There were lots of people passing by and mouthing, ''Isn't that a Backstreet Boy?'' The posse then headed to NV on Second Avenue for some end-of-night frivolity in the first floor bar area. Again, Howie was recognized but not approached. ''Everyone was really respectful,'' a posse member said. Howie D. isn't the first big pop star to hit Second Avenue. Several years ago, a then-underage Britney Spears was tossed out of Bar Nashville after consuming an alcoholic beverage. Comment on this item.
