Date: Jun 13, 2003 The Backstreet Boys are in Huntsville to keep a nearly three-year-long business project alive in the Heart of the Valley. No singing and dancing Thursday from Backstreet Boys Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough, just a business pitch to city leaders. They want to invest in a hotel and entertainment complex in downtown Huntsville. The two are hoping their business savvy will impress city leaders and influence the chances of investing in a hotel and entertainment complex near Huntsville's Von Braun Civic Center. "One thing Huntsville doesn't have is an upper-scale hotel and evening entertainment," said Kevin Richardson. He and Dorough were in Huntsville a few years ago to pitch the project. They say their interest is stronger than ever. "In the complex, there would be office, retail and restaurant space, movie theatres and possibly nightclubs," Richardson said. Not to mention a riverwalk, outdoor amphitheatre and concert area. Attractions that new business and industry would flock to he said. "It's a place you can have a high school reunion, prom, debutante ball," he said. "It's not just a one-night stay."
