Cee-Lo, Joi, Brian Littrell, And Kelly Price To Perform At 2nd Annual Atlanta Heroes Awards
WHO:
Newly announced performances include recording
artists Cee-Lo performing with Joi, and co-host Brian
Littrell, as well as Kelly Price. Confirmed presenters
include 99X's Steve Barnes and Jimmy Baron;
songwriter/producer and CEO of So So Def Records,
Jermaine Dupri; and renowned entertainment attorney
Joel Katz. Additional appearances will be announced
shortly. As previously announced, recording artist
Brian Littrell and model/actress wife Leighanne will
co-host the event; Bo Diddley and Shawn Mullins will
perform; and GRAMMY-winning recording artist Duane
Eddy also will present an award. Honorees include "The Godfather of Soul,"
James Brown; co-host of the "Morning X" show on Atlanta's WNNX 99X,
Leslie Fram; President and CFO of Gretsch Drums & Guitars respectively,
Fred and Dinah Gretsch; and the members of the GRAMMY-winning
group TLC: Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, and the
late Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes.
WHAT:
The Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy
hosts its 2nd Annual Heroes Awards gala. The Heroes
Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Atlanta
Chapter and recognizes outstanding individuals and
institutions in the Atlanta region that have improved
the environment for the creative community. Proceeds
benefit the Academy's professional arts education
programs for the regional music community and the
MusiCares Foundation.
