"It's time that we as a community do our part to reduce pet overpopulation and put an end to the needless killing of adoptable pets," said Shannon Elizabeth. "We've put together a showcase of top musical artists including the first solo performance by AJ McLean in years, comedians, food, game consoles, belly dancing and a huge silent auction -- all to help our furry friends and prevent cruelty. The stars participating in the evening are truly committed to helping, as we have been looking to our fellow pet enthusiasts to lend their support. This is all about animals in need!"

According to Elizabeth, Animal Avengers receives more than 300 calls a month requesting help for animals who are abandoned, neglected or abused. Avengers has successfully placed thousands of pets in new, happy homes, but relies on community support to keep doing their work. Animal Avengers is a Los Angeles based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue dedicated to rescuing and placing homeless pets, reducing pet overpopulation, promoting responsible pet guardianship and preventing animal cruelty. Their mission is simple: Animal Avengers believes that an animal's life is to be treasured and respected. An animal is a companion and friend whose value cannot be measured. Animal Avengers' mission is to help these loyal animals find loving homes and give them a second chance at life. They believe that through educating the community on the importance of spaying and neutering pets, advocating for their rights and working with other local organizations and agencies, they can end the needless destruction of unwanted animals and ensure that every pet has a good home.
