Date: Sep 13, 2002 Nick Carter's solo debut, which includes the first single, "Help Me," will be released on October 29, 2002. The 21 year old (and youngest of the Backstreet Boys) says he’s ready to reveal himself, "When you are in a group with older guys, they want to look and act a certain way," Carter adds, "It’s hard when you’re on this roller coaster, and you don’t know what the hell is going on, and all you do is what your supposed to do." Now or Never includes production by Max Martin & Rami (Backstreet Boys), Matthew Gerrard (Eden’s Crush), Gary Clark (Natalie Imbruglia), KNS (Britney Spears), and the Matrix (Avril Lavigne). While Jive has yet to release a final tracklisting, the set will include the following tracks: "Help Me," "Do I Have To Cry For You," "My Confession," "I Just Want To take You Home," "Who Needs The World," "I Got You," "Former Rebel," and "Heart Without A Home (I’ll Be Yours)." Carter also notes his change in style of music from the normal Backstreet sound, "In the Backstreet Boys, all the stuff we were writing was like, 'I’ll Never Break Your Heart,' But I wanted to write the opposite... I wanted my songs to have that fun type-vibe," Carter said. The singer plans to appear on many television specials this fall including as a presenter at this year's Latin Grammys. During the holiday season he will join Celine Dion and Enrique Iglesias for an ABC Holiday Special. The artist will also make an MTV TRL appearance on the day of the album’s release.
