AJ Plans Non-alcoholic Wedding

The singer, who checked himself into rehab last summer in a bid to sort out his boozing problems, celebrates one full year of sobriety this month. And he isn't going to wreck his progress when he weds pretty Sarah Martin on Valentine's Day next year, February 2003. He explains, "I really like Martinelli's Apple Cider. It looks like champagne but it's not." McLean admits he's still very proud of himself for realising that his drinking problem was spiralling out of control, and urges peers of his who booze heavily to stop and think about their actions. He adds, "So many people have so much talent and so much to look forward to if they just stop drinkin' and druggin'." Comment on this item.
