In our exclusive interview, he tells you what really happened... So what's been going on? Not much. Well a lot actually. But I'm feeling kinda spaced today! Let's get straight down to business. We heard rumours you were interested in Britney... There were heaps of rumours that I'd been seeing Britney. Can you imagine? Nah, someone else got there first and that's just something I have to live with! I would have liked to have dated her. But I don't know...it didn't happen. Don't try and get gossip out of me because there's none! She's a pretty girl... I know and she's doing really well. Which is great. But what else can I say? It's a done deal with Justin. Are you friends with her and Justin? I wouldn't say friends, but I would say that we know each other. We're all so busy, it's hard trying to keep any friendships going. You know what I'm saying? Do you have a girlfriend? No, not at the moment. I did have, but it's all over now. We're still friends but that's it. That's all it should be. Any girls you like? You always said you were a big fan of Christina Ricci... That was years ago! I like her acting but I don't know too much about her. She seems kinda cool. I like people who are a bit off-base, you know? Like who? AJ! Hahaaha! I dunno...just people who are a bit different. I like to go a bit out there and just see what happens. AJ does too. Girls are cool when they don't try too hard. I like girls who are just laid back and happy with life. My life-style means I never know where or when I'm going to be around. So a girl needs to be happy in herself. That's really important. What about the other boys? They're all cool, but cool in different ways. We hear you pick on Howie all the time? Heheehe! Yeah, but only cos he's so nice. I swear to ya, Howie is one of the nicest guys on the planet so we all kinda tease him. But we're just being us. He knows we love him...( shouting to Howie ) don't ya Howie? In a recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the other boys say they worry about you... Yeah, I guess. Sometimes it's weird because you feel like you live in a bubble and everyone can see you and it's kinda strange. I don't know what life's like without doing this and the other guys do. Life can be really difficult when you're in a boy band. Are you happy? Right now? ( looks around him, as he cruises past Sydney Harbour Bridge ) Yeah! Course I am. Everyone kinda imagines this life. You've been in the band since you were 12, wasn't it weird to grow up like that? People say that but I don't know any different, do I? It's how it happened. Do you worry about Aaron doing it too? Nah, he's cool. He knows what's going on. He knows I've got his back. If he needs me, I'm here and that's all. I don't really like talking too much about it because he knows the situation. What makes you happy? Relaxing at home. Hanging out with my friends at my house. Water skiing. Time off. Performing. Jeez, I don't know...there's so many things. I love to relax and just hang out. But I don't really get to do a lot of that these days at all. Nope. What's the biggest misconception we have about Nick Carter? I don't know. That I'm young, sweet and innocent ( laughs ) Are you? I don't know. How can I answer that question. It's hard. I go through all the stuff that everyone else does. That's all. No more, no less. When you're away how do you keep in touch? Mobile. Can't live without it. All of us have one and we spend so much time just keeping in touch. It's hard to have good conversations though, you know. Who was the last person you chatted to on the phone? You know, I haven't because it's been really hard to get reception on my phone. I've had to borrow my tour manager's but it doesn't work because there's no signal. Have you ever taken anything from a hotel room? Yeah, a bible. I guess it's complimentary anyway. What's the worst lie you've ever told? I ate pizza from the fridge once and when my Mum asked me if I'd eaten it, I denied it. Then she spanked me! How many girls have you kissed in one night? Two. One time I kissed two girls about ten minutes after each other. Do you get drunk? I don't like to drink. I know this may sound Mr Goody Two Shoes but I really don't like the taste.
