Pollyanna to put on FREE concert in Orlando/Kissimmee

For Immediate Release September 11, 2000 Orlando, FL- Power 105.9, Pacino's Italian Ristorante, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation invite everyone to the "POWER KID PASTA CHALLENGE" a benefit for Mark Johns Jr. and his family Sunday, September 17th. Mark is a Central Florida eleven year-old born with cystic fibrosis; he is currently waiting for a second double lung transplant. His father, Mark Sr., a single parent has been totally wiped out financially by his son's condition and needs the community's support. Pacino's Italian Ristorante on West Highway 192 (across from Old Town) in Kissimmee will open its doors outside of normal business hours to host a special Sunday benefit with POWER 105.9's Kathy Aparo broadcasting LIVE from ten o'clock in the morning until three o'clock in the afternoon. For a minimum donation of three dollars you can choose from three different pasta dishes with all proceeds going to the Johns family. The POWER KID PASTA CHALLENGE is going to be a fun-filled afternoon filled with a performance by Pollyanna D., challenging spaghetti eating contest, tomato stomping prize pool, Sasha the Singing Clown, and entertainment from the Italian Elvis! There will also be a silent auction where supporters can bid on Lunch with Pollyanna D. (an up and coming artist and sister to Howie D. of the Backstreet Boys), as well as dinner for two in the romantic Wine Cellar at Pacino's, autographed celebrity memorabilia (including signed Backstreet Boys photographs & singles) and many other valuable auction items.
