Date: Sep 06, 2000 Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough has scheduled two solo performances in the coming weeks to benefit the Caroline Dorough-Cochran Lupus Foundation, named in honor of his sister, who died of the disease in 1998. The concerts -- which follow two previous solo performances to benefit the charity -- will be held Sept. 13 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Sept. 15 in Buenos Aires. "This disease took my sister from my family," Dorough said in a statement. "It means the world to me to have friends, family and the public to help find a cure for Lupus. Hopefully, in the near future, a cure will be found and no other family will have to endure such a tragic loss as our family has endured." In other Backstreet Boys news, group member Brian Littrell married girlfriend Leighanne Wallace in Atlanta over the weekend. The group is gearing up for the release of its third studio album on Nov. 21, and plans to tour North America in support of the set after the first of the year.
