- ![]() Date: Aug 16, 2000 Backstreet Boys new album is now due late November and a sweeping ballad called It's True, will be released on promotional CDs at American Burger King restaurants from 28 August. The lads are pulling out all the stops in an attempt to break the sales record held by rivals 'N Sync. They have a busy fortnight ahead as their Internet comic strip also launches just a day earlier on 27 August. Fans can log on to www.backstreetproject.com to see the pop stars turn into superheroes in a series of webisodes penned by Spiderman creator Stan Lee. BSB Cyber Crusader figurines will be available at Burger King stores along with the promo CDs, plus videos featuring an astounding 45 minutes of live performances and backstage footage, for which US fans will have to fork out just $2.99. The group spent much of July recording their forthcoming album at Sweden's Cheiron Studios with hitmaker Max Martin, who has penned some of their biggest hits, including I Want It That Way. The album's titled has not yet been confirmed, though it is believed the name Jive was considered, in honour of the group's record label.
