- ![]() Date: Jun 25, 2000 (6/22/00, 6 p.m. ET) - The Backstreet Boys' Kevin Richardson, 27, married his fiancee Kristin Willits, 29, on June 17 outside of Richardson's hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. The couple exchanged vows at Estill County Cathedral Domain. "They're two good people," Kevin's brother Tim Richardson told the Lexington Herald Leader. "Remove all the glamour and the fact that he's a Backstreet Boy -- that they're in the entertainment industry -- they're just two people who love each other." The couple met when they were both employed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The other four Backstreet Boys -- Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, and A.J. McLean -- were all in attendance at the ceremony, reports a spokesperson for the band. Richardson announced his engagement to Willits earlier this year on Valentine's Day, the same day that his cousin and bandmate Littrell announced that he was engaged to actress Leighanne Wallace. The Backstreet Boys head back to Cheiron Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, in early July with producer Max Martin to finish recording their next album, which is scheduled for a fall release. There are currently several tracks either written, co-written, or produced by the Backstreet Boys themselves that are being considered for the album. Richardson recently told LAUNCH that he and the other Backstreet Boys have the utmost respect for the judgement of the producers they are working with in creating the follow-up to Millennium. "I mean, we want to get involved and write more, but at the same time we realize that it's a growing process. We don't want to just jump into it and say, 'OK, we're going to write this whole album ourselves,' because the producers we've been working with, we've learned a lot from them in the past four or five years that we've been recording and stuff," he said. Meanwhile, Backstreet Boy Dorough is hosting his Lupus 2000 concert event Sunday (June 25) at the Groove on Universal Studios Citywalk in Orlando. Country singer John Michael Montgomery, Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, Deborah Gibson, K5, the Nelson twins, comedian Wayne Brady, Irish singer Jerry Brown, actor Sherman Hemsley, and Dorough's sister Pollyanna will all join him at the event. In addition to the performances, an in-person silent auction will be held featuring items donated by various celebrities and local businesses. -- Jason Gelman, New York
