Lupus 2000 Charity Update

Date: May 31, 2000 Source: Submitted By: Monica On June 25th at Universal Studios Citywalk in Orlando FL The Caroline Dorough Cochran Lupus Memorial Foundation will be kicking off its formal announcement with an upscale charity benefit whose main attraction is a silent auction of Howie D memorabilia and other music collectibles(the final list of items up for auction will be released closer the event) to raise funds and promote Lupus awareness. Howie D has invited some famous friends to come and join him.(The complete list of celebrities who will be in attendance will be released closer to the day of the event-this does not mean they will be performing) Howie will be the Master of Ceremonies and performing a duet with his sister, Pollyanna of the song "Fly to Heaven" which was written in remembrance of the older sister they both lost to Lupus 2 years ago. This is a small semi formal event. Dinner attire is requested. There are 2 ticket options. The first is the Gold Star ticket at $200 each. These entitle the purchaser to valet parking, free bar,(all ages are welcome but those over 21 who wish to drink will be given wrist bands)elaborate food, and all access. The VIP section will be on the second level of the venue. VIP's will be afforded the opportunity to mingle with the invited guests but there are no meet and greets planned or autograph sessions. (as a small note-security will be enforced-fanatical behavior will cause the person to be removed from the venue) The Bronze Star package at $75 each entitles the holder to appetizers, cash bar, bidding on the auction items, and is at stage level. There will be several local bands providing the entertainment. No cameras are allowed. A photographer has been hired to take the snapshots at specific intervals throuhgout the evening.
