Suitcase From The Past

I remember when she came back,
Brought her suitcase from the past
Reminds me of our good times
And promises supposed to last;
When she approached my way,
She had sadness in her eyes
Begging me to take her back
And promised me love with no goodbyes.

I remember all the days
When she almost tied a knot
With a man whom she thought he had all,
She had a ring and she was proud;
She was almost steps away from being tied
But she learned that with me, she lied
She dropped the ring near the river
And I never expected for her return.

God knows my heart has been tired
So much stress and pain I feel inside,
I prayed and said I couldn't take it
I told her with a statement and I just can't lie.

"No! I'm no longer happy.
The past was just enough for me,
What's destined is just what happens to be.
Baby, I can not take it, no more
What I feel for you is just before
And I don't let another teardrop fall."
