I Knew That Before

Looks like we're going nowhere
I feel you're leaving me behind,
Like when I was drowning at the sea
While you're there watching me die.

I can't take it anymore
when I need you, you're not there
And I realized for sure
We don't belong to each other.

Forget all those days and the nights
that we used to share way back before
'Cause I know this love was a lie
And we can't fake it anymore,
Don't say a word, save your voice
I can read your mind and I knew that before.

Now I accept what I did for us was a waste
Though we want to work things out,
I can see it from the grin on your face
And hear it from the ironies on your mouth.

It's starting to get old,
We're no longer closer than before
we're lying to each other
And I can't stand it anymore.
