Hi, I think being a Backstreet boy must be really hard, never a moment to be completly free, people always tell you what is wrong with what you do. I heard Nick once saying in a interview that once he logged onto the net, he came across two people talking about how fat he was! How horrible it must be! I think they all look good, and we should accept that they are humans, they actually have a life, and it's not our business mostly! And seriously, you who sent hate mails to Brian and Kevin, GROW UP! If you truly loves them, you wouldn't care, cuz you can see they are happy! I don't think anyone can say that they love them, when you haven't even met them, there's more to a person than what a eyes see!
Hugs
Jeanie

It's very hard to be a Backstreet Boy. If you were a Backstreet Boy you would have to constantly prove yourself and be in a "role" in order to satisfy most fans. You are also the target of people constantly making fun of you or harassing you because of your popularity. So, give them credit for having come this far. If I were a Backstreet Boy then I would make sure all my songs that I sing are morally acceptable and I would committ my life to God more.

if i was a backstreet boy (girl), i would have the same fame like the bsb. u know, singing, dancing, making ur fans happy, winning awards, etc. its hard to get all that fame, but to get what u want u have to earn it. dont be a show off like christina aguilera. just be urself. and make people u love or like proud. ok that all, peace

Being a backstreet boy w ould be fun but really hard, i mean waking up like at 1:00am or getting to bed at 6:00am. Then having to see the screaming fans when you r so tired but since u care so much about them u make yoursleves go. Handeling something when a bandmate is out. Then all the fans attacking you (no offence) plus the other millions of things they go threw every day!! A lot of people couldn't take the pressure

I think being a Backstreet Boys (or any popstar) would be really tough because you have to prove yourself and show people what talent you have.

Also, you are constantly watched, everyday, by reporters, fans, enemies and the music industry. Everyone is watching your every move. There IS no such thing as privacy anymore. You can't even do something in the least bit scandalous because tabloids will blow it out of proportion and your reputation will be ruined.

Like with Nick and his eating depression? Everybody has these kind of feelings and Nick is no exception. They are human too!

And with Brian and Kevin getting married? Do you really think a man in his late twenties will date a 13 year old? There are hardly any chances of you meeting the BSB, let alone dating them and getting married. (Yeah, ok, so some ppl met them, but how often is that?)

So give the Boys some breathing room. No need to know what they're doing 24-7. They are humans too and need to eat, sleep, love and feel just like us.

I wanted to go into the music bizz, wanted to be on stage. but when i saw how hard that kind of life is a decided to go back to it being a hobby. I admire the guys for not letting any negative sides that this kind of life obviously has keep them away from their dream. and I admire them for the fact that they're still standing. only a few artists can say that.

I know that it's not easy being watched over like a hawk, and personally, I believe that it is absoluetly NONE of our business who they are seeing. If they want to have a girlfriend, I don't care if it's Pamela Anderson, fans should be supportive. NOT tearing them apart. As for those insensative people that were ticked off when Brian got married: GET OVER IT! Brian is very happy now, and we should be happy for him. Honestly now, do ya'll really think that a 24 year old is going to date a 13 year old?? Come on, get serious. As for Nick, people need to butt out. Everyone needs alone time for mental health, and if he's out (or any of them for that matter) in public, leave him alone. Let him lead a normal life. Yes, I know that they "love the attention," but I'm sure that's mainly onstage, and they don't like it 24-7. So chill out people...give them some breathing room. Haven't they earned it?

Being a Backstreet Boy or anyother celebrity for that matter is a tough job. They always have to smile for the camera, be polite at all times, and never make a mistake. Hello? They are human too. Just because they can sing and dance and act doesn't mean that they can't have scandals and have bad days or the inevitable PMS. I mean sure there a lots of kids that look up to these celebrities, but they need to look up to who they are on screen or on stage and not who they are behind the scenes. Nobody is perfect. Sure people dream about how nice and respectful these people are, but do you know how many celebrities out there are so b*tchy to everyone when theyre not on camera. I mean they fit the true definition of diva, with the exception of Celine Dion, haven't heard anything bad about her. Anyway, I would be upset if i met my idol and was blown off without a single picture or autograph, but they have lives too and even though it would be rude, people make mistakes and have bad days and just want to be left alone. Celebrities seem to live in this parallel universe away from the normal Joe Schmo, but they may have a huge house and like five cars, but do you know how many of them are lonely and depressed? I can name about two maybe three from our own boys, BSB. Being a Backstreet Boy is tough work and you have to give it up to our men for toughing it out.
