It's me again.The thing is that I have some things on my mind and I have to get it out.
What I want to talk about is this double standards that the BACKSTREET BOYS are getting.
Here are some examples: Lenny Kravitz, Destiny's Child, Macy Gray, Britney Spears, Madonna, Ricky Martin. Look, they all have released albums recently. And in my oppinion no one did a very fantastic job with the numbers. In the eyes of everyone they did good. Now the Backstreet Boys have done just as good or even better with their greatest hits (!) album and all of a sudden they are on the back street?! Hello!!! Why do they have to do it 5 times better than everyone else to be recognized.
I don't think that Britney's album is doing that well, but then again, I don't think that anyone sees that, cause they are too busy with her birthday presents. And next week she will probably broke her nail and for a week everyone will only talk about was it fake or not.
Madonna and Ricky came out with greatest hits albums and they did very, very bad comparing to CHAPTER ONE. Destiny's Child came out with a Christmas album and the way that I see it, it is way behind CHAPTER ONE.
So, what I'm trying to say is that this story about the Boys fading is a made up story from those who want them to fade.
The thing is that they have grown up and we have grown up with them. I'm not that entusiastic as I was when I was 16, but I'm still the biggest Backstreet fan and I love and admire them more than ever, and I believe that there never was and never will be a group greater than the BACKSTREET BOYS. They don't put out lip-glosses, they don't make dolls and they don't bring a camera crew with them everytime they get a new haircut or go buying their shoes.
They are a realistic, mature group of men that love music, that love making it and that love to share it with the best fans anyone could ever get. They don't suck-up critics' asses, and they don't pose on every Tiger Beat.
My final words (I hope so) are: KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!!! That is the only way we can show to everyone that the BACKSTREET BOYS are here to stay.
P.S.: I know that it would be much more efective if I shared this story with someone else than you - the fans that already know all that - so if you know anyone on the position, please say it all to him/her.

Hey my fellow Backstreet fans.Look I have no idea what is goin on with those people in the States. I live in Europe and everybody here - from DJs to TV presenters - everyone respects the Backstreet Boys and I can get radio stations from all over the Europe and they are playing "Drowning" a lot and they always say something nice about the song.
So I think that those DJs are just trying us, and that's why we have to show them that they are wrong. One more think - I know you get pissed of by ugly comments, but don't write hate mail, cause you are only making it worse.
I remember back in 1996 when I first heard about our Boys, everyone was saying that they will be gone by next year. Well it is almost 2002 and the Backstreet Boys are still here, and it takes more than some stupid DJs to destroy them.
And as Nick once said: as long as they have us, they don't have to worry about anything.

I can't believe that the Billboard Awards would allow Bernie Mac to put down BSB. He failed to mention that they had been nominated for three awards last night, so they didn't win. That doesn't make them " out on the street." Billboard may have made a big mistake making BSB the Butt of there joke. NO COOL BILLBOARD!!

hi jen i agree with you i know how it feels i call radio stations all the time and they tell me the same thing that bsb are done ect. please i never listen to thoes pepole say i know in heart that bsb are the best and will be around for a long time. one dj i know plays bsb cause he likes them don't worry when bsb's new album comes out it will do great and it will shut all thoes mean pepole up.

hey guys. I don't know what is up with people these days either. I don't understand why they are turning against BSB. BSB always comes out on top and they will look like idiots. We just gotta stick by their sides like their how their music is always there for use. I will and am doing everything possible for BSB, please do the same. Something that really pissed me off was, I e-mail a radio station with a request and he replied "Their time is done. Their sales are down, their spins are down, nothing is up but all these pathetic request I keep getting" I lost it! I wrote him back and said that BSB was only doing "good" and not amazing on the charts because of assholes like him. Some people, I wanted to slap him! We can't give up on anything! So, please vote here because Otown is #1, BSB#2

Y'all, NSYNC fans, O-Town fans, and actually any fans who come to hate are not worth it to pay attention to them. Obviously they have no lives, and can't get it through their close minded heads that Drowning was written like in 99.....before O-Town even came in TV(I think). Anyway, no disrespect to any of the groups though. The fact of the matter is, DO YOU GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THE MEDIA??? It makes me mad, but hey it's their opinios( wrong ones....but) Not everybody has to like or love the BAckstreet Boys, so it's okay. We can just Keep the Backstreet Pride Alive!!! I don't really care what the critics say. I was always a Backstreet Boys fan and I'll die a Backstreet Boys fan.
Backstreet Boys have evolved more, musically, than N Sync has. Backstreet Boys always think of something new, ex: their new album isn't going to have any synthetic sounds, N Sync sticks to the same old bubble-gum bull-shit. I'd rather listen to Backstreet Evolution than listen to N Sync bubble-gum anytime. :)

you know what? I AM SIck of all these Boy Bands!!!
i'm serious! When i say this, i'm refering to n'sink, o-town, 98º.... all the rest. the Backstreet Boys were the first to begin and, unfortunetly, their success opened the doors to all this crap. I like the BSB, because they are. when they are on an interview they don't try to please the audience, they make it real. for example try to listen to what they say and you'll see that they have different points of view and are inteligent.The Boys are normal People, you can see when they are tired or stressed. The boy Bands are always there, trying to please the audience with the intent to sell more albuns.
I am really pissed off with some news that i heard. I am not trying to offend. On a tv show, they were talking about the importance of TRL. And guess what the Retarded, Fag, stupid , arrogant, conceited( justin timb.) said? He said that TRL developed at the same time that his band raised to the stardom. I don't know if you have noticed, but n'sink loves to make comments that in a subtle way are directed to the BSB, they always trying to gain popularity over the BSB. It really Pisses me off! I HATE THEM !!!!!!!!!!!One other thing: Johnny Wright!
have ever wandered why the n'sink became so popular lately? guess the are MR Wright pets. his using them as revenge to the fact that the BSB kicked his butt. And the n'sink are accepting this because they want money.
The Rolling Stone magzine say that the BSB tour costumes appeal to 11 years old girls, because they seem like circus costumes.... Have you ever notice the clothes that n'sink wear, even during the darkest and foggest night you'll notice them and of curse you'd run away from them.
Suddenly all the media turned agaisnt the Boys, making rude comments about them and disrespecting them . But that's ok, because i hope that the Guys become successful business men and then everybody will kiss their feet. The media promotes n'sink because the are in search of fame and they'll do anything to get it. the BSB are different, they are in another level, they don't need to have choreography in their videos because thair songs are appealing. ...
Well i just wanted to say that i love The BSB, more that ever. and i'll do it untill forever.
BSB is Back to stay! all right!!!!!!!!!!

Shut up Becca! O-Town's album came out in January of 2001, Black & Blue came out in November of 2000. Do the Math, which one came out earlier! Drowning was supposed to be on Black & Blue. If I was BSB, I'd be working on a Lawsuit...bitch.

Hey don't worry about the Asia awards. We all are voting. But the votes for the Backstreet Boys (from Europe and Americas) are comming in later, because of the time difference. Also, don't forget to vote on www.cosmogirl.com for our Boys.
BTW, could you, American fans, post the results of Billboard awards when it's over, cause we don't get it over here in Europe. Thanx

hey, I'm pretty sure there are lots of fans voting. I vote my ass off. Just not everyone is totaly devoted as some fans. I thought the same thing, that no one cared and no one was voting, but there is nothing to do. It just gets you so mad, it got me mad. Anyways, go and vote guys.You know what I think, Ncrap fans sure are spending alot of time at a BACKSTREET BOYS FAN SITE, hence the backstreet.
