The Day I Found Out...

AJ, you are truely a sensation,
You were my destined inspiration.
Not only were you the deep-voiced singer of BSB,
But you are also the soft, sweet, one for me.
You lived your life like it was your last,
Doing all these crazy things just like in the past.
At first, I didn't seem to like you,
because you looked like the bad guy.
But now you have my point of view,
From all those years that have passed me by.
Now to me, you are the sweet guy with all the tattoos.
I'd get mad at anyone if they gave you the "boos".

On that February 23rd night, that night of the Vancouver concert,
I thanked my brother for getting the best seats there, the best ones ever.
I looked at you like never before, and suddenly thought you were a hunk.
I knew from that day forward, you were sure not to be a punk.
You mouthed out "Hi!", and even waved to me.
Oh, how I wished I could've been taller,
So that you could reach down and touch the hand of mine.

But on that summer night, when I was checking my email,
I read the BSB newsletter sent, believe me, I didn't chip my nail.
I read on that newsletter that you had been drunk.
I couldn't believe all that piece of junk.
But I read on and it said that you were in depression,
That you were at a rehab session.
I swear my heart could've stopped beating,
From doing all that reading.
"Aj Mclean is doing all this?"
"You sure he wasn't just with a girl and it was all a stupid kiss?"
No, you really were in rehab, of depression from your relationship breakup,
And of course, your dear grandmother's death.
I knew you were going through a hard time,
I mean, who wouldn't after a close one's death?
You were hopeless, you didn't know what to do.
All you could do was drink, not even play pool.

Being in rehab did you a whole lot good.
I knew that you did the very best you could.
But today, August 22nd, you came out of rehab.
And you came out probably in a limo, not in a cab.
I'm feeling happy for you Alexander James McLean,
Because I always knew that you were never insane.
Aj, we know you have fought.
We, the fans, love you a lot.
