True Misery

Oh, fear, why did you overcame my heart?
Why did you stopped my feet
and kept us apart?
Stopped me from moving closer,
ever so closer.
Why did you put knots in my tongue
that caused me to stutter?

Oh misery comes next
for am I not a coward?
Of being afraid to step
and boldly move forward.
Tears in my eyes would sting my cheeks
But not as much as my heart aches as it
weeps

And so three days until goodbye
Three days, the last one is the day I would cry
'Cause then sadness would wash over me
I know by then I'd be feeling true misery.
