When princess Diana smiled (d-d. 2 BrianT.Littrell)

There was a great time
When we both didn't see
The final of "Star wars"
We cried about "Titanic"
And we were glad
When LA Lakers
Became the champions
For the first time.
Princess Diana smiled,
Shaking the hands,
Kissing the children's heads
Another politicians
Cut out this world
Behind the back...
Twin-towers stood still.

There was a special time
When you and me
And many other people
Have known nothing
About "Backstreet's back"
And calendar Millennium
Was on the way.
Nobody told
About Bin Laden...
Submarine "Kursk"
Was goin' to the pier
Through deep blue sea.
And on the radio
Sounded too many songs
About the heart.

There was an our time
That we could have
But both passed over.
I laid aside a scalpel
And took a pen
To write the poems
Without dedication
"To B.T.Littrell"
You woke up,
Saved not by me
And found another hand-
Nearest of possible.
Instead of mine.
You closed the door...
That time I didn't know yet
About you.
