Borrowed Time

I live the fullest of today,
Don’t know what’s in store the next day,
Maybe I would lay down to rest;
I only live here just once
And make a foolish or a wise response,
But only God knows what’s best.

I can do everything only in a borrowed time,
My life is short and my breath’s not mine
Someday this life will be taken away
And all I can do is to live it up each day.

I can’t live young too long
But as I get old, I have to be strong
Or else my dreams will tear apart;
When failure comes, I’ll go on and fight
In hot water, my faith is firm and tight,
I’ll stick to what’s in my heart.

One day in my life, I will die
And nothing will be brought to another life,
But at least, I do all in a borrowed time
Before my body lays to rest one time.
