The reason I admire the guys is because of what happened 3 years ago...Im a primary school teacher in a little country school which has two
teachers. I teach the older children and a lot of these children come
from family backrounds in which the parents dont look after them much.
Its not that they dont care its just they are busy farming type people
and dont spend much time with the kids. Often these kids have to help
on the farm and schooling tends to take second place. I had one such
boy in my class last year who started coming less and less to school.
His parents didnt really mind if he came or not so I didnt have any
support from them.
Its amazing how attached you become to the kids in your class, they
become like your own and it broke my heart to see this "I dont need
school and I dont care" attitude in this young boy as he was an
intelligent kid and really had a lot of talents. He was I guess what
you would call the class performer, but not coming to school on a
regular basis he not only starting losing important skills he found that
he lost a lot of friends and so he would come even less, and the few
times a fornight he did come he would act up as that was the only way he
could get attention from his peers.
I realized I had to do something if I wanted to give this kid a chance
and build up right attitudes. I knew he loved being the centre of
attention, unfortunatley he had started doing this in a less than
desirable way! I decided to one day do something different for music.
I made sure that on a day he was there to play the second album
"Backstreets Back". I knew he was interested in music and it was no skin
of my nose as I love that album! We listened to it all afternoon and I
asked if any of the kids would be interested in performing one of the
songs for a parent evening. I knew this was right up his alley and of
course he raised his hand. I promised the kids that the next day I
would bring a suprise so the kids that wanted to be in the performance
had to be at school the next day. Sure enough next day he turned up for
school. That afteroon I showed them the video "Behind the scenes" which
of course shows how the guys put together the video for "Everybody" and
it showed how you practiced the dance routine and that it was hard
work.
I asked the kids who was still interested in learning the dance routine
and putting together a set for the performance. I ended up with five
boys who were keen to put the effort in and he was one of them. The
change in him was remarkable. He turned up for school every single day
for three weeks and he spent lunch times practicing. It was so lovely
to see as these five boys bonded realy well together and everyday they
said to him " you better come tomorrow because we need to paint this or
practice that, we cant do it without you".
Well needless to say all the effort paid off and the performance went
well. What was really nice though is that he had got into such a habit
of coming to school regulary and had a reason to come that he continued
to come and do well in school. He found something he was good at and
was able to show his peers that. Those five boys are the best of friends
now and they often talk about their "Backstreet Boys" performance!
So why am I writing all this? Well I guess its really just to say thanks
to the guys for the music that gave me the opportunity to reach out to this kid.
He was like one of my own so it means a lot to me.

I love the Backstreet Boys because their music is inspieringand great singers. I'd love to meet them some day because they are the BEST group in the world and people who don't like them can just back off us BSB lovers.

hi my name is KimI love the Bcakstreet Boys because of their voices and songs, yeah they are all good looking but that wasn`t the first thing I noticed about them, one day my two best friends and I were watching their first live in concert video and they were singing end of the road and we have always loved singing so we tried it out and thats what inspired us to try it and we liked how we sounded, then we went to singing lessons because we really wanted to persue this because we have always loved singing but we got told that we were not good enough and then we stoped because we didn`t feel like we could do, but listening to their music still keeps me going and always singing! I think that they are an amazing band and have so much going for them!

I love the Backstreet Boys because they are genuine. They really have talent, despite what everyone else thinks. When I need help getting up in the morning or just to keep going I turn on my Backstreet cd's. They've worked so hard to get where they are and it shows me that if I worked just as hard to get what I want in life, that I could get it. Everyone thinks I like them just cuz they look good, although that's an added bonus, I never even saw them when I listened to their music. I came back from Germany and instantly wanted the cd, for 6 months I had no idea what they looked like. I really love the music that the Backstreet Boys make, and I think other people need to stop making fun of them, because I'm open to other people's music and if I don't like it I don't make fun of it. I love Backstreet and hope that they continue to make great music, so I can share it with my children later on.

I fell in loved him till I
saw Quit Playing Games video and I saw Howie and it was just
like the cupid took a dart in my back, and ever since.....
Well I love Howie D!!!!!

to that one girl kelly (fourth entry from mine) why do u even bother going to web sites like this and say such crap? well, i got some stuff to say to you: limp bizqit deserves to be in that jailhouse and rot their sorry a** there, blink 182 are gay and prob suck each other's dicks cuz they run around naked alot, and n stink sucks because all they do is copy other ppl. kiss my a**, piece of turd. limp and blink are one-hit wonders. you're prob jealous because limp and blink will NEVER be as popular as the backstret boys and that bsb are WAY better looking than they are. besides, limp and blink will prob never be married, prob to each other and the band mates. i like backstreet boys because their kind of music have brought families and friends closer together and they also have inspired me into going to sign up in the music business as well (although rite now i want to be a famous photographer). i don't think limp or blink music have brought friends and family closer together. my mom and i never really got along as much, but after i listened to "the perfect fan", i realized how my own mother had loved me, and i had disagreed with her most of the time when she knew wat was best for me. and now we don't fight as much, because we became closer as a mother and a daughter. they will continue to make really good music, no matter how old they get. just look at rolling stones, aerosmith, santana, or madonna. they're ve been around for a pretty long time, and yet they still make good music. so ktbspa, and if someone says sumthi bad about bsb, just say kiss my a**.

First of all I would like to say that i like the BSB because they are so hot, nice, cute and can sing realgood!!! ( specially HOWIE ).
But since I am a great fan of the BSB, I'am here to tell all those mother f****** that start talkin crap
about the guys being gay, to shut the f*** up and if they think the guys are soo gay then why the hell
do the even come here. They're the fags who have no life and are jelouse cause they aren't loved like
the BACKSTREET BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also i read this poem about this girl who wrote sh*t about Howie being gay, you know if that's the way
you feel about Howie than don't write it! No one gives a damn wether you think Howie is gay or not.
Which ever BSB you like write about how much you like him, but don't call yourself a BSB fan cause you're
not. I wrote that my fave was Howie and it's true though i still like the other guys too. If you like the BSB,
than you like all 5 guys. k.

I don't even know where to start!!! I mean the Backstreet Boys name will go down in the history books for Millennium, all their hard work, and every award that they win, but BSB in my book is more than just music and awards. It's everything! BSB have done so much in their lives by helping out charities and writing songs for us! How could someone look at Kev, Bri, AJ, Nick, or Howie and not fall in love? I mean think about it! They are the Backstreet Boys, the most wonderful, talented, fine, and the BEST guys around, they deserve everything! They have worked so hard, and spent thousands of hours (if not more than that) working to make us satisfied! If you do not appreciate that, or just like them because "Nick is so fine" (which he is, don't get me wrong, and so are all the other guys) then please reconsider and think it through, BSB need real fans the kind that stick with them through the end, and we arethe ones to do that for them, so remember everything they do to make us happy, and lets return the favor and make them happy right back! KTBSPA!

hello fellow backstreet fans! I just want to say that the reason I like the group I always refer to as "my boys" is because they have the voices, the heart, and everything that takes my mind off my problems for the time that I spend listening to their music. It takes us back to the time of the Beatles, when a music group could be labeled "teen-pop" and still have longevity and get taken serioulsy. I hope that we can get back to that and the beach boys, and Elvis, and all the others, and to not think about New Kids... or The partridge family, but more of the Jackson5, and Boys to Men. That is what i hope is going to happne to my boys, but I like to live in the moment-and I think no matter how you cut it-my boys have been around for so long-and will continue to be around. Their style is so good to me-and has changed my life-they are inspirational to me, their love songs mean a lot to me. thanks!

just like now
I just lost a good freind of mine (last tursday) and listening to their voices makes me feel better nad give me hope and strenght to get on!!!!!!!!
People think it's weird that 5 normal guys, I don't relly know I can love so much and they say you can't love them, because you don't even know them, I know they are right, but I love them, because of everything they did in my life!
