The Backstreet Boys are always making such BRILLIANT career moves- I don't think this is a career moves, because they aren't that lame- this is about LOVE- but some girls claim this will ruin their career. Actually, it's gonna send them into the stratosphere! In a good way. First of all, Howie is absolutely gorgeous. He's got the most beautiful eyes and hair and skin and smile and he's just sooo sexy and incredibly charming. But I guess he's too much of a MAN to appeal to 8-year-olds. And how dare you pass commentary on Nick's emotional status? Did you gather that from staring at your shirtless nick pics for too long? Whatever he is dealing with is on his own terms, and you know nothing about it. I happen to think he's a doll, and he's my Boy. But I know that's just the way I feel, and he doesn't really BELONG to me physically, and I certainly would not be enough of a nut to go around passing off my views of his deeply personal emotions as Fact. I am so happy to see that the majority of responses have been positives, but the negative ones still piss me off. I guess we all knew it was true that Backstreet had teenybopper fans hanging on, but the truth is that it's better for everyone once we drop 'em off and let 'em be. This actually means bad news for nsync (untalented sucky group that they are), because anyone who drops Backstreet for nsync over THIS, is obviously just going to drop nsync as soon as they get their braces off. Let me just say, for myself, CONGRATULATIONS BRIAN AND KEVIN! I'm an 18-year-old poet and musician myself, and I'm a big fan of your MUSIC, which is not at all affected by your personal lives. I also want to say that what Brian once said is right- the Backstreet Boys have some "brilliant fans". When I look at the poetry and esp. the drawings on this website that the fans have created, I am downright *impressed*. Critics make it sound like we're all a bunch of starstruck teenyboppers running around clutching Big Bopper pin-ups to our training-bra-clad chests, but this page is proof that this simply isn't so. The Backstreet Boys have a devoted fanbase of girls that can write and draw like phenoms, which proves they appeal to people of intelligence and artistic taste. :-) I personally am very excited to hear about a new chapter in the Backstreet Boys life! And our lives, too, as fans. I thought we'd all been waiting to prove the dumb-ass critics wrong; and if we remain devoted, it will prove that the Backstreet Boys mean more to us than a group of sexy bods on which to project adolescent fantasies. It's great because it'll rid them of shallow teenyboppers- as i said, anyway who runs to nsync over this, will eventually be the downfall of nsync. May I also say that it truly does *MEAN* ALOT to me that they told us this, very intelligently, on national tv. They know how mature their fans are, and have never underrated us once. They've never doubted us- so if you even consider doubting them, you slap yourself in the side of the head and straighten yourself out! Peoples, this is NOT the beginning of the end. It's just the end of the beginning. :-) That's a good thing. I think that it's great Kev and Bri are getting married. I am getting sick of people obsessing over it though. HELLO... they are real people and need to have lives, think about their futures. True, they are in the public eye, but the press and fans are the ones which have made the issue of their engagements so public. Get over it, stop dwelling on the idea. They are getting married and I'm happy for them. If you were any kind of real fan, you would accept what they choose and admire them for their music and who they are. We all have had crushes, and will have true loves. We will live fulfilled lives and love and be loved. If we were famous, would that be different? Would we be forced to live alone, be unhappy, have no one to fill our hearts? No, we wouldn't. We would date, have fun, and eventually settle down. The BSB are not superhuman, they are a musical group. They can sing. They have a talent that has put them in the public eye, and in a way I feel sorry for them that even though they have so much, some still think that they should be alone. It's not the end of the world the groups not breaking up because of it, and they are still the same two guys enaged or not. We do not own them and their private lives are none of our contern. We should all be happy that they found some kind of happiness in their lives. Secondly I am very happy for them and wish them and their future wives all the happiness in the world. It's great that they found someone to fall in love with and are willing to spend the rest of their lives with. And that the boys are happy makes me happy just because.
